Welcome to Crazy Singing! I'm Marc and it's great to meet you!!! I talk about the craziest vocals of all time here #JeffBuckley
Crazy Singing: can I offer you a Jeff Buckley related video in this trying 2021?
Me: *_tearing up_* yes please
Amore esagerato 🖤
Same buddy. Same. Buckley was an Angel on Earth we didn’t deserve him. I adore him….. I practice my vocals after Jeff all the time!
@@linziRyan1965what can I do to practice the same?
Jeff Buckley was a freak of nature. He was the total package. Great songwriter, excellent singer, great stage presence. The Grace album is a classic.
Dont forget about his guitar playing capabilities!
@@danielakatzenbecher2811 right
@@danielakatzenbecher2811 clicked to comment exactly that. What a... is there a word for Jeff?
Absolutely, The crazy thing about Buckley is that he is was probably a better guitar player and songwriter than he was a singer.
You know whats craziest for me about JB's singing? The range of dynamics and the purity. He could bring the wild fearless power like a raging volcano, and switch to those soft high tones, clean and pure never heard anything like it, never gets old.. His character was somehow familiar and otherworldly at the same time.. and what a guitarist
The greatest singer of all time!
The True Angel Voices Ever Existed
Agreed and no disrespect to Freddie Mercury but Buckley is still #1.
there is not, is art not sport ;-) pls excuse my english
Nusrat fateh Ali khan
Stop making everything competitive, music is no competition
A talent lost so young, without any reason too. We can only imagine the height of perfection he could have achieved had he survived. His version of Hallelujah always seems like a unwilling goodbye to me.
I have truly never heard a voice so magnetic and outstanding!! Technically speaking, probably one of the best of all time
That “What Will You Say” performance is my favourite song / performance of his ever. It is a showcase all in itself. Such majesty emanates from the song.
Agreed! His Glastonbury performance sends you to another dimension begging never to come back.💞
@@mitakuyeoyasin1043 hi! Well the performance in this video and the one I’m talking about is the “Mystery White Boy” version in Lyon France 95-96, BUT yes of course the Glasto performance is epic! But if you havent heard the WMB version ^ I would urge you to, it’s even better tbh!!
@@starbeam6651 Thanks for the heads up! I probably have heard those versions as well but definitely will check them out. I sub to MoJopin83 for couple years and if there's anything by Jeff to be seen or heard, he post's it. Not stepping on this content creators toes, just letting ya know if you didn't already about Mojopin83 channel.. Definitely a great JB channel. 💞💞✌💞💞
This guy was a true vocal virtuoso. The control, the range, the delivery/passion. I have yet to hear another male singer do what he could do with his voice. Sorry, Leonard, but Hallelujah belongs to Jeff. I'm gonna give Grace a spin on the turntable this weekend.
I found out Jeff Buckley through my music teacher at school and I don’t regret asking him that question leading to his answer. He seriously sounds like an angel. I miss him.
Super happy that you've chosen that particular live of "What will you say" - when I listen to Jeff Buckley, I listen to it a lot.
I’m so happy you liked the list ♥️ he sounds spectacular there
Myles Kennedy is a Jeff Buckley acolyte and an incredible singer in his own right (Alter Bridge, Slash, Mayfield Four, Cosmic Dust, etc.), I think he deserves a video at some point and I hope you get to him. New to the channel and loving it
Absolutely!
I agree :)
John Garcia and Mark Lanegan too
Imho Myles Kennedy stands out for the emotional connection he manages to establish between the song and the audience. And He's on tour now!
FK YEAAA MYLES KENNEDY ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Jeff.... What a loss to music, Hallelujah always give me the chills
Love your pfp.
After the last time I listened to the full album of Grace I can say Jeff Buckley is definitely the most technically impressive vocalist I've heard. His high chest voice has both power and amazing tone, particularly the distortion, his falsetto screams have no limit to how loud and dynamic he can make them, he can extend any note in any tone into a long vibrato with perfect control, he can sing amazingly quietly (much harder than belting) and control and hold quiet notes for inhuman amounts of time, and he just gave every single line a level of flair and emotiveness that makes even his "easy" vocal lines near impossible to replicate. Plenty of singers will make you reach outside of your range to try and sing along, but Buckley can make you feel inadequate even at a range that suits you.
thats exactly right i love this
The first time I heard his vocals in so real, I was blown away
That outro is insane
He did know the Ordu language. He took language classes to understand the Sufi music emotionally.
As a massive Jeff fan... This lacks the most impressive vocal I've EVER heard from his Live at Sin e release... track: 'The Way Young Lovers Do' (includes the highest note I've ever heard by him) please listen to that interpretation. I also know its subjective considering of what makes his vocals crazy, but I might point out the highest note he hits in his original 'Lover You Should Have Come Over' as well. I appreciate that you look at his language interpretations.
How was “Lover You Should Have Come Over” not even mentioned? The vocal range, the emotions, the sound - how did this song get glossed over? And no mention of the way that his voice entirely changed covers? “Hallelujah” and his cover of “I Know It’s Over” by The Smiths are perfect examples of how he used his vocal range to completely change the emotions behind a song he didn’t even write. This video does him no justice.
@@jael3147 Buckley was so damn talented that I understand why it's difficult to zero in on every best part. I get inspired by another recording of his almost every day
What about Grace!! Oh yeah I think they had mention it lol
Lilac whiiine
hey, i just discovered yr channel & i’m absolutely loving it-cool, brief, & informative. jeff buckley is, of course, an essential crazy vocalist; but i’m surprised you haven’t included a video featuring one of his ex-girlfriends &, in my opinion, the quintessential crazy female vocalist: elizabeth fraser of the cocteau twins. seriously, just google how many times she was referred to as the voice of god. anyway, just a recommendation, she’s the best. thanks for the content & keep up the good work!
Thank you so much friend! Glad you’re enjoying the videos. I will check her out! I’m intrigued by that description
@@CrazySinging Great suggestion, she's amazing
I came here to suggest her, but I don't have to now 😊
He is a greatest rock vocalist of all time!
We’re just gonna ignore the scream in grace near the end? It’s incredible and so controlled
He also played phenomenal guitar while singing like an angel
I ran out of breath just listening to him sing for 23 seconds
Dido's Lament is the most impressive piece of Jeff's vocal abilities for me.
I love this guy so much. My favourite performance is Grace in Paris (on tv) I think it was around 95 as well. His vocals towards the end are just amazing. No one has ever surprised me as much as he did.
Live at NPA. I’ve watched that video so many times….
How about bringing father and son to the channel? Make a video like this with Tim Buckley.
As a die-hard Jeff's fan, these lines are nothing compared to others. I have ALL his performances from all over the world and I am a singer myself. There are more extremele difficult things he has sung. Also, there is a long note that lasts 24 seconds in France, iin a club. He sings awsomely in TV Shows, in clubs, all over the world. In Melbourne he sung an incredible note in Grace.(Idon't know what happened to him when he sung in Australia, may he loved the people). He sung differently! I have collected all his crazy notes he had sung.
What can I say? He was a phenomenon!
Finally… thank you so very much man! The video was amazing! French also came easy for Jeff, check out je n’en connais pas la fin, great stuff.
Great stuff! A good contender for next vid would be Daniel Johns from Silverchair, Dissocitives ect. He’s talanted. Got a killer voice and makes very interesting choices when it comes to melody.
Legendary voice!! Without a doubt, the greatest rock voice that has ever set foot on this Earth!
Eu descobri ele numa viagem que fiz para Ilha Grande no Rio de Janeiro cerca de 2016 e até hoje não consigo parar de ouví-lo... Desde então é meu vocalista preferido de todos os tempos, sem dúvida.
I really wanted to see this video
Thank you so much!!! (:
At some point, you should also cover his father, the one and only and legendary Tim Buckley.
tim was a god
That Hallelujah note at 2:20 goes on longer than most people can actually hold their breath without exhaling at all (slight exaggeration, OK) . And he controls it and maintains it with a fairly strong tone throughout.
He's just incredible.
I actually just tried it and I could do it and I bet a lot of people could. But we don’t all have the voice he had, which I still haven’t heard an equal to.
@@thatssoironic just tried it myself after seeing your comment lol. if i start singing exactly where the timer starts (and not singing the preceding notes like jeff did) I can hold it for 50 seconds or more. so yeah it's doable. i don't sound like jeff though
What about an episode with Cedric Bixler Zavata from The Mars Volta ? This guy did some crazy stuffs !
2:51 **casually breathes**
Very different from the way Matthew Bellamy breathes, lol ... Jeff Buckley's vocals are much more impressive and you almost never notice him breathing.
Been waiting on this one. Thanks a lot!
Oh man, Jeff Buckley was such an amazing vocalist! May he Rest In Peace. A great complimentary video to make would be one featuring the amazing vocal range of Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins. Can you possibly do a video about her please? Thank you
If you haven't done Minnie Riperton you should do her.
The most impressive Jeff Buckley performance is the studio version of Grace - specifically the last part - it has full force / volume output
although clearly in the studio you can start / stop just for that one line - but it's still his most impressive performance.
I propose Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Grace Slick
Jeff is definitely one of my favorite singers of all time 💕
Dimash Kudaibergen!
"Ave Maria", "SOS", "Olimpico", "Strangers", "The Show Must Go On" and any of the Singer 2017 performances.
Jeff is my all time favorite singer and Grace is my all time favorite album.
Please check out Tim Buckley, he sings incredibly on all his records, but I'd suggest checking the songs Move with me, Get on top and sweet surrender from the album Greetings From LA
Did you check out “Gunshot Glitter”? he’s definitely gone higher.
I think I should do more videos on Jeff :)
That 23seconds of that soft, pure angelic-ness by Jeff made me melt like butter. 😌💜
This is what I waited for!!!!
Nusrat fateh ali khan is a legend above legends
Amazin Jeff!!!!
Grace is my fav song of all time!
Died very young, one of the most powerful voices in music. I've seen you mention Dimash in your videos, it's time to make one about him. Great channel, congratulations!
Video of Jeff Buckley ends to immediately play an ad for some new pop album. Not opposed, generally, but I can't think of a better way to highlight your own inadequacies as a singer 🤣 (Referring to the UA-cam Ads, nothing to do with the content creator)
You should do a video on Ian Gillan, the legendary vocalist from Deep Purple!
Mark Lanegan, Myles Kennedy and Zakk Wylde too
Thank you for making this, jeff is one of the most underrated vocalists ever ❣️ may he rest in peace 🙏
Hallelujah is gift for us ❤️
STILL MAKES ME CRY WITH AWE☆☆☆☆☆
Don't leave out the 80's hair metal.. Sebastian Bach & mark slaughter are two of my favorites :)
The craziest note he hit was from the Way Young Lovers Do on the Sine album
Cuesta mucho cantar su musica, trato y cansa especialmente grace era maravillosa su voz me encanta es unos de mis cantantes favoritos
Grace live at Chicago was crazy
Personally think the end of grace is a lot harder than the first but thank you for these videos
YES JEFF BUCKELY TOO! Maybe do Rachel Goswell from Slowdive & Mojave 3 next?
Thanks for introducing this amazing man to me...i just can't stop listen to the Pakistani stuff that he makes n grace
if you do jim morrison, look at the second "back door man" on live at new york. he had the best scream in rock.
We need 3 craziest jim morrison vocals
YES!
Tremendo!!!! Te recomiendo que busques a Conor Masón vocalista de Nothing but thieves!!! Increíble voz!!!
I'd love to see your picks for Stevie Wonder!
Thank you so much!!! I will definitely get to Stevie eventually :) hopefully soon. If you want to participate in choosing the next ones, I post polls on the “Community” tab of my UA-cam channel
@@CrazySinging I'll keep that in mind, thanks! Looking forward to it!
I indeed had to be the first one to see this
Oh my.
Cool profile picture!
@@wornstrat5517 Cool profile picture!
Thom Yorke next, please! 🙏
Just listen to Corpus Christi Carol. His voice in this song is just insane. Underrated artist.
Perfecto 🖤
Fuckin’ legend.
you should do tim buckley, his dad! if you think jeff is good, hes only half of what he was
Yes!!! Tims voice was insane
Tim had more powerful and versatile voice, indeed.
Please do a Vince Neil best vocals of all time, you well freak out, i love your videos, new sub 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥
Would have thought a possible lover you should've come over may have been present, great video nonetheless
Can you do a video for Kyo from Dir En Grey?
Honor mention: That live performance of Mojo Pin in Chicago
This man is something special so freakin special…
Where can I find that hallelujah outtake that was at #1
Only the best one, but like to hear Camarón de la Isla spanish Singer.
Do Conor Mason from Nothing But Thieves!
so cool
does anyone have any similair artist in terms of voice to jeff buckley they can recommend
Why does this happen to me? Everytime I find a good artist it turns out they're dead. And in the most worse way
Didnt know about Sufi thanls!
As a hardcore fan, I agree that number 1 and 0 make justice to him, but there is so much more stuff, specially live at sin-e and l'olympia, that is much more outstanding. Check the ad-libs of the way young lovers do in sin-é and ludwigsburg scala (where he also plays an amazing guitar solo), it's really from another dimension
I guess he needs more videos, I agree!
Live at the Bataclan is his best one way above the Olympia
Really crazy!
Next "Eric Martin" please..
Amazing voice!! Gone too soon 🥺💔
Amy Winehouse please 🥺
Más jeff recomendación en París canción Grace año 1995 en Francia lo aman Sole de ARGENTINA ♥️🎤🎤🎤
Gracias por la recomendación!! ♥️
Buckley magnificent supreme precious Diamond Loudlove ♥️
The future-retro tone of these videos is only surpassed by the German-funk-space vibe of the narrator. Coupled with the unnecessary CTAs by including a "0," consider me fascinated.
HAHAH I loved this comment. Thank you. And glad you were fascinated
3:25 i dont think Nusrath was a sufi, no no no... :-DDD lol. he was also a sufi's songs singer but not Sufi itself_i'm not sure about what i said, btw, cheers pls excuse my english
Please sir make video on Chester Bennington (Linkin park's singer)
I'm working on it!
@@CrazySinging thank you so much sir
Jonny Craig // tillian Pearson
Gone But Not Forgotten
A Jeff Mangum one would be awesome
I think you should do a video on Brandi Carlisle
Genius
Great video but you shoud get rid of the background music for time in between each vocal.
I would have included 4:20 - 4:35 from Eternal Life
