i just took the front shaft out from my BMW x5 e70 3.0 x drive 2012, cast me 20£ Labour, no light on dash so far 2500 miles in 2 months time very smooth faster and Just enjoying RWD (no more T case problem) no need to delete X drive

This is freaking incredible! Imagine if this could be set and programed to automatically take effect at a certain speed, let's say right at 60 for safety boom RWD for the last buit of the 1/4 mile. Launch AWD, finish RWD for max power, best of both worlds!!!! Doubt it's possible, but would be amazing.
maybe soon. I dont see why not minus the fact that this is a flash protocol rn. Perhaps some piggyback to the TCU/Center Diff controller would make it possible
That's kinda what XDrive does on its own. It starts at I think 90% to rear wheels until you take off, which it splits to help the launch, but then it increases rear bias again. Someone was speculating that it becomes full rear wheel drive at highway speeds until wheel slip and while parking.
@@spiritsavage 60% rear and 40% front until you spin. if you dont spin, the car will be 40/60 all the time
@@supertreme5559 Hmmmm, really? It isn't variable at all? Nonetheless, I use XDelete Custom rn, and I have it set to 25%. With decent tires, it's really rear heavy, and it's awesome. I thought XDrive was supposed to be varied as it detected corners, etc. though?

Greetings from Austria as well! ;) Yes, you can run staggered tire setup with it. Just don't forget to return to standard setup when switching back to AWD.

Or you can just put a switch on the xdrive fuse, and wire it to the dash.

That throws codes plus it takes time (more than 30 seconds) and x delete had many different settings not only xdrive and rwd there is snow mode sport etc

Weird you had a one wheel peel? I just installed xDelete on my 2011 335i X-Drive and tried a burn out.. both tires spun evenly and left the same mark for each tire?

Ruslan because you need a limited slip diff for both wheels or for example to drift properly you really need the lsd

@@TheRealIsaiahWake I honestly don’t know, just answering the question for Ruslan. I’m not sure there would’ve been much commercial viability for an aftermarket lsd with earlier xDrive cars. But then again the M5 has xDrive and has a rwd drift mode so maybe it is possible. Maybe even a 340i lsd would perhaps fit? 🤷🏻♂️ I sold my remapped 435d for an M140i so lsd question much easier for that. Now stage 2 so lsd might be a good idea soon!

@@TheRealIsaiahWake pretty decent app to be fair, I just wish there was an option in iDrive like later cars. Bootmod3 remand can also be done through a phone with correct adapters. Used that for my M140i, pretty decent. xDelete also have a gearbox app which speeds things up too

The process is similar for every BMW that xDelete is compatible with. There may be some slight differences on how to use the apps as new updates have been released!

Because standard diff without a diff-lock. A slightly locked diff can do nice burnouts with 2 wheels. ^^

Have you had any issues like parts breaking?
335i and 335xi have the same rear diff setup, axles, and drive shaft. Upgrading to a LSD would still benefit you and if you start breaking axles just have the driveshaft shop make you some 1000hp ones for like $1000 all four corners.
I have a pure stage 2 high-flow car running 93 making at least 500whp on low boost and have not had any issues yet minus traction issues lol
