Cassie was modeling at 14 years old in her hometown in Connecticut and after she graduated high school moved to New York to further her modeling career. She was discovered by a music producer and they worked on her first single Me & You. While in NY, Diddy (37 at the time) discovered her (she was only 19) and signed her to his record label, Bad Boy with a 10-year contract. During this time he had a bunch of other artists signed under his record label as well. They started making music videos and releasing her other singles. Diddy started hitting on her, started grooming her. Just imagine the kind of shit he was saying to her. Bet he scared her, threatened her, while manipulating her to believe everything was ok, meanwhile held her hostage in a legal way, making sure she was financially dependent on him. Even if she wanted to leave, she couldn’t because she knows he’ll probably kill her. Which is why she played along all the way until the she met the personal trainer Diddy hired for her and took off with him. Got married, had two kids and hit his ass with a 30 million dollar lawsuit.
