This is one of the most significant, informative, well complete video on dogs I've seen in a long time. Being a dog owner for decades and collies for sure(There have been 7 collies in my life)I must say, I really enjoyed the story presented here. This deserves more than one thumbs up.
Hi my name is bev I have a collie called lassie i lost my other collie lady to cancer but will be buying my other collies soon. Thankyou for the therapy programs to collies Thanks Bev
I had a Smooth Collie and he was such a good sweet dog. He was so compassionate and emotional tuned into me and I will never forget him . I recently lost him during Covid and I will never forget my buddy. He was very chatty and loving purr almost like a kitten when petted. He was taught agility and really loved it. He also liked running and playing tag. I really miss him terribly.
My smoothie is replacing my old dog as my emotional support dog. He is so gentle and kind already. So smart. I wouldn’t rate my tri smoothie for ANYTHING. he has picked up everything so fast, I agree with you. So great

@@davidrobinson7112 Thanks for your message. I do love collies, and I might get another in the future. So right now I will wait until the opportunity is right. I think losing my buddy during Covid was one of the most difficult thing I had to do. I really think collies have the most dynamic ,playful, and soulful attitude of all dogs and they are very caring and charming dogs to own.
Bravo! You have captured what a collie represents! Their gentle and calm way, soulful eyes full of love, intelligence that far exceeds most other dogs, and all wrapped up in a beautiful body. Such a touching video of the work you, your wife and your dogs do! I had rough collies in my life growing up. They are truly a magnificent dog. Thank you for sharing them with folks who wouldn't have the chance to feel the unconditional love of a collie. It's clear that they enjoy their work and everyone they come in contact with.
If I ever got another dog , it would be a rough collie /// I like pedigree dogs … also love Australian shepherds. Lovely video … have a childhood memory of my piano teachers two collies … so well trained and they made an impression on me forever 😊
My Nellie, tri collie, was an amazing therapy dog here in Ottawa Canada and I can relate to this great video. Nellie and I were often chosen for special assignments, including a case of a 4 year old boy who had a week to live, and had stopped talking out of pain and sadness at being very sick with cancer. Nellie helped the little boy find his voice, and the parents last week with their son was improved, as the boy talked about his Nellie visit. We visited children hospital working closely with medical teams and Child Life Specialists, in the trauma unit. We also spent time in the Rehabilitation Center with head injury clients. Nellie read with kids under Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D.) program for 3 years, connected to troubled teen Highschool program, worked with psychologists and teachers assisting kids in the spectrum when transitioning into the school program. I have to say over the past 12 years as a therapy dog handler with my sheltie Marcus and tri collie Nellie, this is the first really well made video that perfectly explains the love of collies and therapy dog volunteering. Thank you for sharing your wonderful story with your collies. Sadly I put my Nellie down in July but am pleased to say I will be bringing home my new blue merle puppy, Luna, on Nov 5th
Collies, I think, have always been good at picking up on emotional ques from their Alphas and family. If they are good the Collie no matter kind or lookalike, will adapt their behavior to please the family.
I have a rough collie named Kristopher. He is a rescue. He may be mixed with a German shepherd or something else not sure. But he is the most beautiful dog I have ever seen. He gets attention absolutely everywhere he goes. He is such a sweet boy. He loves to give kisses but he also likes to play rough. He is also a certified therapy dog and he goes to the old folks home. They love him. He is about 4. He is a great dog. I love him
As a service dog handler I have to commend you for your extensive knowledge! I'm so happy you're spreading awareness, I'm looking into a collie for a prospect. I spend so much of my time trying to spread awareness and help people get what they need, it's unfortunate that there's so much misinformation around the differences of working dogs. All of these animals are so important. You're doing such good in the world! Keep up the good work, honestly many people need the support
Thank you for your work, Adrian. The problem of fake service dogs continues to increase and makes it difficult for those with legitimate ones. Hopefully, regulations will eventually pass to curb the practice.
Loved your very informative video. One of my bucket list items is to train one of my rough collies to be a therapy dog. 2 of my previous Collies visited nursing homes and were wonderful with residents, aides and visitors. Collies seem to have a way of sensing how gentle they must be with people they meet whether that person is a new baby or elderly person who they must be very calm and gentle with or a rowdy teen who wants some rowdy playtime or someone who is hurting or emotional and just needs a furry soul to connect with. My current tri male may be the one with more time and training on my part. We also adopt double merle special needs Collies who are often deaf or have vision issues. Please keep up the great work in being a wonderful embassador for the Rough Collie.

Number 37 in popularity?! And primarily because there isn't currently a TV show on that features them?! How vain is humanity that such a wonderful breed loses it's place just because there isn't a TV show on?!
On the other hand ? Not being 'popular' can also mean there are fewer 'opportunistic' breeders out here that breed them ONLY because they're 'popular' which can lead to unhealthy dogs because - to those types of 'breeders' - it's ALL about 'quantity' and NOT 'quality' !
