I can directly relate to the minecraft dilemma. When my son was young (maybe around 10) he got into Pokemon TCG, and wanted to start going to leagues, which was about the last thing I wanted to do. But, I decided to do it for him. After about a year, I took over one of the local gaming leagues and got involved with the community. It became a safe, positive place for those that are sometimes seen as socially awkward. It was so rewarding. By the time he graduated HS, I was a paid judge that traveled to all the big events and he was a world caliber player. They grow up so fast so I would say, embrace it. Those are some of the most cherished memories that I have with him. We have a ton of stories that we will always have. He's grown now and out into the world, but I am so glad I went down the path maybe less chosen.
My son and I have gamed together since he was 4. He's 36 now and we still game together and grandson is almost old enough to enjoy watching. Play together forever! :D
I got into Clash of Clans because of my kids. Not only did I end up loving it more than them, my relationship with them improved so much. Also got into Pokémon with them. Definitely not my jam, but I don’t regret the time spent playing it with them! My best memories!
Hey Now Ash...yes, get into Minecraft with your son, this will form a basis of yet another avenue of connection with your child. I have 2 sons, (23 y/o and 18 y/o), and both wanted to play it when it first came out. I had many fun hours exploring, crafting with both of my sons over the years. We have all finished off the Ender Dragon many times...now we no longer play that game, but I still play Battlefield 4 with my eldest (our favorite play together game) on the XBOX Series X and I play multiple PC games with the youngest. DO the Minecraft and build that foundation of gaming with your son...you will not regret because it just builds yet another attachment with which you can relate to your son and the memories built are priceless.
Ash, don't apologize about your messages in the intro. It's a big part of what we love about you. Btw, my kids love Minecraft but I don't play it because I'm afraid of getting addicted to yet another game.
As a 50-year-old viewer, I am here to say you are never too old for Minecraft. I got lost in that game for a few years and it was amazing. I have not played in a while but I am here to tell you there is a lot more to the game than you may think.
Go all in on Minecraft! I did with my daughters and we had a lot of fun playing 4 player split screen on the ps4. It took me back to N64 days with my friends player 4 players on one screen. Minecraft is fun, I build elaborate mines and grind mats while the girls build up top. When I get home they are always excited to show me new things they built.
ASH! You absolutely have to play Minecraft with him! When my son was younger (about 7), I was in the same situation and I decided to let him find his own way with it. To this day, I regret it. He is now 14 and has his own life with no time for dad. Enjoy the time with him while you can!
Valkyra is awesome. I think the main reason she doesn't have a ton of hype is because she isn't good for guild boss. But damn she does work in void rift, amr, campaign, and can be used in gr1 and gr2 to good effect.
Good video as always. In regards to Minecraft i got my then 6 and 8 year old daughters a nintendo switch for xmas a couple of years ago and it came with Minecraft which i'd never played, it wasn't a game when i was growing up so I never got into it. I decided to learn the game so that I could help them learn to play and I got addicted to it, its such a simple game but I can get lost for hours in it just building things, its relaxing and theres no pressure like other games to do things. My kids love it, especially my youngest who is now 8 and its something I keep going back to and now enjoy some online skyblock and shared multiplayer servers. I would definately recommend it for your son and for yourself.
Ash - from one father to another. And with the utmost respect. Respect your sons decision to play Minecraft. Choose to learn it if you wish, but one of the best things we can teach our children is independence of thought, choice and action.
Valkyra was my first leg. hero and she is MVP for early and midgame (best hero until late game, promotion battles, campaign, phanteon, xp and gold raid,....)
Hey Ash, great video, like usual man. I love Valkyra, though I don't have her. Her Ultimate skill not only extends the range, but thickens the beam so she can hit Airborne targets too, which is doesn't seem to tell players. As to the Minecraft, I was somewhat the same but with cousin's I spent a lot of time with and they were super in to it. As an old school gamer myself, I never really seen the appeal, until I played it. It can be so varied and choose your own adventure like with mods, it's never the same game. Either way, I say take the time to play. You don't have long with the, as a father of 5 myself, and I can assure I don't look forward to the day when they don't have the time to enjoy gaming together. Much love, brother!
valkyra was the key champion to complete nightmare void rift 100% as f2p.the revive passive for a champion infront of her its just amazing plus the range and damage ! cheers to the best cc out there...follow you from raid now we sail for new adventures in WoR!!!
To answer your question Ash, I have Silas A5, Abomination A4, Zeus A3 and then a few A1 leggos after that. Not complaining but definitely wish a few those turned into other legends instead lol
Awesome content aside, the intro to this video is one of the reasons I watch your content. We all struggle at some point and people need to know that. We need to talk about it. We need to normalize it and we need to help each other out! Seriously much love and respect brother! Oh and thanks for making such great content over here! Now that I've left Raid its good to see you branching out as well on current stuff! *Edit* On a side note, absolutely on the minecraft! I did it for my son's and I'll tell you what, you want a game that you can just chill at and literally do anything in....it's minecraft. Loved it!
Yeah, glad you notice valkyra now, shes pretty solid ground aoe (up to 4 tiles on a straight path) ,. I use her in arena aoe, and gr1 and high level campaign and voird rift.. Gear her properly and she wont let you down. Awesome video Ash. 👍
she can go up to 6 tiles in front of her actually. so her baseline is 3 tiles, using her ult without a shield consuming only gives you one tile extra range and the damage boost. if a shield is consumed, she gets 2 extra tile range instead of 1, along with the aforementioned 100 stk spd and teh dmg bomus based on shield, and with A1, she gets another tile range on her default reaching that 6 tile range
Oh man, I'm so sorry for all you've gone through. It's great you have an amazing attitude about it!! The last 5 years have been really tough. Just one thing after another. It almost impossible to stay positive and motivated. Bit about minecraft (nice transition). Definitely give it a try. I started playing, at the age of 41, becuase of my son amd I absolutely fell in love with it. It's a great game. There's alot more to the game then you would think. I was surprised by it. It's also creative gameplay so itll be good for your son. My daughter also got into it and the 3 of us would play together. It was loads of fun. Great memories.
You got me to try watcher of realms, switched over from Raid, and glad I did. I do have a question, are the events in Watcher the same as Raid, where you have to max out every event to get the hero pieces? That was one thing I hated about Raid, one day busy and you can't get a fusion Champ, 90 shards with no way to get the last 10. Wondering if I can still get Pyros, or if the 5 pieces I missed are going to make the other 95 useless. Just pulled Navras, pretty cool.
It is much more frendlier. If you push yourself, you can actually gather almost 150 shards, which is double fusion. If you just fulfill the bar in the bottom for event, you will get 75 shards easily ( one fusion ).
“Im not an expert, I don’t know why your watching me” its cuz its you. No one that I watch can break it down where my ADHD can actually put something together from what was said about gear or character so that I can progress. But you make it easier to chew if that makes sense
Hey Ash, great content as usual. Left Raid and jumped across to WOR (still your RSL videos just incase they stop being greed hungry ) anyway can you do more showcases of the characters like you’ve done with Raid ?
in 17 days i got valkyra, ezryn, venoma and hatsutt. Built all to max except ezryn (cause i have vortex) and got quite far to a point where im getting volka on day 19 which is the earliest u can possibly get her. kinda excited cause im f2p amd progressing quite fast. Venoma's auto ult deals quite a bit of damage for me but eventually im hoping to get khamet. With her lord skilll she can reduce his high cost ultimate.
Yeah... I have my 5yr old girl playing DC Injustice. For her it's fun to play as Wonder Woman, but I do feel like I want a game that's more appropriate.. 😂 (she's good though, y'all)
I would personally recommend some of the lego games They're all co op so you can both play together And they're pretty easy to pick up my five year old absolutely loves them
Just started this week and after 20 summons i got myself calypso and was like this champ looks sick ! and she was good then i pulled razaak and it was then i knew the difinition of gamechangers! i love that ugly fish!
There's nothing wrong with introducing your kids to the games you were interested in in your youth, as long as you don't try to force them to like those games.
Let lil Charlie enjoy the Minecraft, I wasn’t sure when my son (6 now) wanted to start playing it last year. It actually teaches kids more things than I thought it would and helps boost creativity in a few aspects. Avoid Roblox though lol
A bit of both. Balance it. Traditions are valuable. But old dogs learning new tricks to stay in tune with next generation, is not a bad thing. LOZ is iconic. But the kiddos like their building blocks. However, if children are getting into Atari style graphics, but modern age gaming, get him into the Old School. The Atari, the NES, the Sega Master series, 2bit-8bit games we old heads grew up with. And yes, I'm a fan of Nauvras . As for Laurel, a bit of a heads up from experience; I've used Laurel with both Autumn and Delores, As a duo and trio, in Guild Boss Dragon. My numbers were lower, than just sticking with Autumn and Delores tag teaming together. Because of using Laurel as a 3rd wheel, you sacrifice in DPS. So, better to throw in hex, or Nauvras or Zilitu, or Nyx and leave Laurel on the bench .
Just play with your son as long as he still wants to play with you, eventually he will find friends and you will get forgotten like every parent has to go thru.
I double pulled Kria and then checked Mabucket out for a test and she is by far the worst mage T_T... however I did also eventually pull Vierna I just wish I could do something useful with kria.

I followed you on raid for two years, now I'm down for the ride of watchers. I love your positivity, thank you for being you!
Thanks man! I appreciate it ;)
i definitely needed to hear that little bit at the start of the vid- thanks ash, lots of love man
Thanks man! Glad you like it ;)
My son and I have gamed together since he was 4. He's 36 now and we still game together and grandson is almost old enough to enjoy watching. Play together forever! :D
Thanks for tuning in ;)
thank you ash! your intro is the best i like it... i said this before in comments. it feels like listening to a good friend
Thanks man! Means a lot ;)
Absolutely embrace it. My 4yr old is in the same phase. Set up a creative mode and have fun. Family time figuring out things trumps Zelda. Haha
I got into Clash of Clans because of my kids. Not only did I end up loving it more than them, my relationship with them improved so much. Also got into Pokémon with them. Definitely not my jam, but I don’t regret the time spent playing it with them! My best memories!
No eye rolling here mate. Your opening message is always appreciated. Love the vids Ash, keep 'em coming :)
Yes mate, enjoy it with him.
I did and it's actually enjoyable, we randomly build stuff and explore together
I love your positive vibes and wishes, Ash! We need more of that in the world nowadays so no eye rolls from me. Great video as always!
Thanks man! I appreciate it ;)
Lmao 🤣 so much cringe

Pulling a Lego lord in under 2700 pulls? I wouldn’t know anything about that.
Meanwhile me without spending 💰 in less than a thousand summon got morriagan and lata 2 freaking lords
@@gemocabrera2525 close to 6k summons now. I have Laya,Venoma, and Solcadens then 2 Ajax pulls too
Oh man, I'm so sorry for all you've gone through. It's great you have an amazing attitude about it!!

Thanks for tuning in ;)
I love the way that you talked about 3 out of 5 of my legandaries lol, I have an "underated" account i guess
Just for the start, good job.

Hey Ash, great content as usual. Left Raid and jumped across to WOR (still your RSL videos just incase they stop being greed hungry ) anyway can you do more showcases of the characters like you’ve done with Raid ?
Valkyra is my account carry. You can place her creatively and do a lot of work.
in 17 days i got valkyra, ezryn, venoma and hatsutt. 100% worth it bro. Minecraft is easy, innocent and rewarding to build along with others. The kiddo will love it!
Thanks man!
I would personally recommend some of the lego games They're all co op so you can both play together And they're pretty easy to pick up my five year old absolutely loves them
Thanks Jeremy ;)
Just started this week and after 20 summons i got myself calypso and was like this champ looks sick ! and she was good then i pulled razaak and it was then i knew the difinition of gamechangers! i love that ugly fish!
Valkyra has Permanent magic vulnerability
So She's pretty uselful with high magic damage dealer like khamet
Thanks man!
There's nothing wrong with introducing your kids to the games you were interested in in your youth, as long as you don't try to force them to like those games.
Thanks man!
I have razaak at a3 and that's my fave marksman!!!! Valkyra is my only a5. I can't stop pulling her

Let lil Charlie enjoy the Minecraft, I wasn’t sure when my son (6 now) wanted to start playing it last year. It actually teaches kids more things than I thought it would and helps boost creativity in a few aspects. Avoid Roblox though lol

I say you should get into some of the hermitcraft creators with him.
Have a A5 on nocturn, And A3 on Zelus, Nyx & Calypso :). I pull 3481 shards and 49 legos. (1 Leggo per 71/72 shards)

I use Vonoma and Valkyra on almost every team.
Just play with your son as long as he still wants to play with you, eventually he will find friends and you will get forgotten like every parent has to go thru.

Thanks for watching ;)
Ahzor is my only leg so far. Lol
Thanks for watching ;)
Well i'm not really the one to talk here about minecraft since i'm the one that got my fiance hooked on that game.
The start is imo rather boring but you can learn a lot from that game. Especially in modded versions. I think i learned more about chemestry in minecraft then i did in school.
My son is 5 and he keeps asking me to buy minecraft. I have never played it and I haven't the first clue what to do but I think we will probably embrace it and try and learn how to play it together.
Thanks for sharing Simon ;)
