A lovely place for such intelligent animals. Thank God for The Elephant Sanctuary! If only all elephants could know this kind of living. I could watch this story a hundred times over,

Anything having to do with a happy ending for these animals is impressive to me. When I saw the video of Shirley (the one with the broken back leg) and Jenny being reunited, I cried like a baby, big ole alligator tears. These are extraordinary animals, they have the heart of 10 good men. They're so gentle and social. I'm so grateful for the work these people do at this sanctuary.

The Elephnant Sanctuary is the most amazing & wonderful home for elephnants to be able to come to live out their lives. Thank you so much for providing the elephnants this home to live free & do what they want to do. I am so thankful you put the videos out for all of us to see the amazing work you do with these incredible creations. It is so beautiful to see them together, walking, enjoying the sunshine, playing in the water, talking to each other. Priceless! I could watch them forever.

Those of us that love animals are so thankful for people who create sanctuaries for Animals. If only everyone would take the time to know and understand animals the world would be a better place.

    Re Kellie Pickler....
Note to self: Remember to keep Kellie Pickler on your "blessings" prayer list...

Well, I probably have as little to give here as anyone, and that's the truth, but I manage to send a pittance each month and know that I have a tiny personal interest in this wonderful, wonderful place where these precious intelligent creatures can enjoy the rest of their lives. And to forget how horrible it is to be in the hands of the wrong humans.
Just way, way too many ot those cretinous beings out there.
    Anyway,
You might want to do the same. Every cent adds up to a lot of them.

Your uploads are always so beautiful and uplifting. The sanctuary is always in my prayers along with those who do such wonderful, caring things for these beautiful creatures. I still have tears when I watch a video of Bella and Tara or someone talks about their loving relationship. You do an amazing job and my "thank you" seems so inadequate.

The cost of maintaining each elephant is $150,000 a year. Your contributions are always welcomed. Thank you. Janice M

I would so love to be in her shoes! But I know I'd be no help to them because I'd cry in the presence of the elephants from being so happy for them! This is truly a special place for the elephants!

Great job everybody! That sanctuary is by far the best place I have seen for any animals. God Bless you all!

Flora is still at The Sanctuary and still doing very well. In the time since the documentary, she and Tange have grown closer. Tange has also become more accepting of Flora's need for personal time and space. Given Flora's negative and violent reaction to her owner's departure last time, we still believe that we cannot risk another episode of this behavior as it poses too great a risk to the other elephants, staff, and Flora herself.

Too bad this isn't how people allow them to live in their natural habitat. Left for peace.

In Africa when the elephant is dried out, the locals like to throw it like snow balls at each other!
(saw it on a special =P)

Id love to volunteer to help the elephants. However I have sciatica and muscle damage in my back. But it looks like an amazing adventure especially if the elephants like you. I love animals and often problem animals seem to know that I have nothing in my heart and soul but total love. Once agin I m so happy to know that the elephants are finally free. God bless all the caregivers of these great huge creatures.

Where do the elephants go when it's cold? Are they locked in a barn all winter?

Always loved Kellie from the moment I 1st saw her on American Idol, talkin about her grandpa :) Loved her also on DWTS. The way she is so simple and natural even after all the fame is precious.. Seeing her in here; wow! Kellie; you ROCK girl! ♥

The elephants have free access to the barns all year. They will begin spending evenings in the barn as temperatures drop below freezing. On average, the Girls may spend only 6 or 7 full days a year in the barn because of winter weather here in Tennessee.

I think it's sad whenever animals are separated from those they love. Whether it's people or other animals.

happy for the beautiful elephants!! Seems like there is not a whole lot of trust in them by the caregivers., i am not trying to critizise, just am wondering why

manuela redding it's about respect ! Ellies need to trust but you have always got to be on your guard. they are big wild ladies. probably abused in their past life by humans. just being respectful that's all
