Peter, I live in the south of France. I used to live in Dalkey, you would be astonished at the number of my friends who are actively working towards leaving Ireland permanently. We’re not poor, but ALL of us recognise that Ireland has changed drastically in the last five years. The political class have corrupted every aspect of Irish life. Everyone knows that RTE is simply a propaganda tool for the political class, nobody is buying their lies and bullshit anymore. I sometimes wonder if the only people who listen to RTE are the politicians?

Due to a marriage breakdown and the housing crisis I was one day away from sleeping in my car or couch surfing on a family members couch. Only out of pure luck have I somewhere to stay for a couple of months. Next year I'll be back battling homelessness again. I HAVE A JOB, I'M WILLING TO RENT SOMEWHERE. THERE IS NOTHING OUT THERE. no one wants to see a seperated dad, we're the 💩 on the sole of societies sole. I'm in a catch22 situation. I'd rather be dead now if I didn't have kids, miss them too much, I can't see how I can get a place to be able to live with dignity and spend time with my kids. I only want a small 2 or 3 bed place now. An apartment out the country, anything. My life is feiced and living an honest working life has counted for nothing

All part of the same club: I remember being in the RTE studios years ago while their post production team was putting sound effects on a war report: they actually added stock mortar and machine gun fire onto a report about Lebanon - and this was back in the early nineties! RTE has been a bad seed for a long time, I would say even as far back as the 1960s. The fact that they have disabled comments on their own YT channel speaks volumes.
Every province should have its own parliament /assembly at this stage.. Independent under the European communities act as Walllonia and Flanders have achieved within Belgium...We have achieved home rule and self determination now lets strive for provincial independence and collective self determination.. this will give each province the power of veto within Ireland and the EU...we can decide then and only then on our respective futures within both, whilst respecting our values and agreements unique to our collective republics.
