Step-by-Step Science you should open something for sure. Your teaching is better than my professor lol I wish you make tons of money from this because you deserves it. 😁
Are we assuming the boards are of negligible mass? We would need to include the mass of the boards in the next step and also, the torque of each board if not centered.
Most of the time we do not consider the mass of the string. So no, the length of the string does not effect the balance. It does not matter how far down the object hangs. Unless you use let it hang down a lot of string and then the mass of the string can significantly affect the mass at the end of the balance.
What if there is another arm where m3 is in your diagram with 2 items now hanging from an arm? How would you calculate the weight of each of the objects? Say now m3 and m4 and d is not equal for them?
My teacher has us doing a project where he is having the equation Ax+By=Cz for the mobile, with A being the far left, B being the middle, and C being the end. Could you explain this equation? I don't understand what value I'm supposed to be plugging in for B.
Technically each of the masses should be multiplied by 9.81 m/s2 to get the force, but if each of the masses is multiplied by 9.81 then they would all cancel out and you would get the same answer.
Technically it is supposed to be the mass x gravity to get the force exerted by each object. But because you would be multiplying by and then dividing by gravity in each case the gravity just cancels out. So as I explained in the video I did not do it.
All 13 videos were superb...don't know why we need to pay universities tuitions anymore.
That is a great comment, thank you very much. Maybe I should open my own university?!?!

Made it through all 13 videos, and I cannot thank you enough! Best professor
You're very welcome! Glad you liked the series.
This was so understandable and helpful after some frustration in class, trying to grasp the whole equilibrium deal. Thank you!
You're very welcome!
Best person ever to explain torque !!!! Thank you so much brother !!
You are very welcome, thanks for commenting.
Finally came up with a video that truly helps. I felt to dumb for crying over such lesson, It's soooo easy thankyou for making this easy. Thankyou.
Thanks for the positive comment.
Can you also talk about when there is mass for hanger(green, orange, purple)?
I love his explanation!
Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for sharing! It was a great help😇 God bless you
Glad it was helpful! You're very welcome!

Yes, we are ignoring the mass cross pieces.
@@stepbystepscience I'm stuck on multiple problems where the crosspieces' mass isn't negotiable. Any advise?
Thank you.
This lightens up my burden 👍☺️
That's good to know!
That is how you do the "Mobiul" problem.
That is how you do it.
Very Nicee....
Sir!!!

Hell yeah! Love it!
Oh yeah!
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
Please , make video on why kinetic energy = 1/2 (mv^2)
thank you

I am still confused why didn't we use Mass times acceleration due to gravity?
Technically each of the masses should be multiplied by 9.81 m/s2 to get the force, but if each of the masses is multiplied by 9.81 then they would all cancel out and you would get the same answer.

you're awesome
And so are you for commenting.
STEM PA SELF HAHA😂
why is the force just mass and not mass x gravity??

When ur module doesn't make sense
Thank you
