I have some very special memories of Lords...My first experience was in 1996 (unfortunately missing Ganguly's 100 the day before) but witnessing Rahul Dravid being dismissed for 95 on debut. Then in 1997, Sachin Tendulkar scored a brilliant 100 in the MCC v ROW Charity Match (my only ever 100 I witnessed of his). Those 2 matches made me into a cricket fanatic! Then watching India winning the Natwest Series final in 2002, Ganguly swirling his shirt around and the Ishant picking up 7 wickets on the final day of the 2014 test to win India the match. Great ground. Great memories
That's true. No stadium across the world can copy the charm and elegance of Lord's. That's the real beauty of cricket. Harsha sir, I love the way you speak.
Harsha Harsha...The way you narrate things is just wonderful. My entire growing years from 8-9th class till graduation and my job career till date was full of Tendulkar, Lara, Donald, McGrath, Waren etc on the ground and Harsha in commentary box along with Gavaskar, Geoff Boycott, Tony Greg etc. You are still around but whenever I hear you nowadays, i am reminded of those bygone days...I miss them. Glad that you are still there around in commentary box. Please be there...
What Every indian and other cricket playing visitors wants to watch at lord's museum first. ? Ans- Sourav Ganguly T-shirt and that pavilion where he pulled his shirt off and the bat that he scored debut Ton.. I am eye witness.
Beautiful Walk through Harsha! really enjoyed every moment of the video and am glad to know more about one of the oldest and most traditional cricket stadiums in the world!
What a video. What a history. What a game. Really you guys made me emotional. Enlighten the passion of cricket. Tears rolled over my eyes while watch.. Yeah Cricket is a religion 💟

I was there at Lords early this year.. Oh Boy!!! those goosebumps moments when standing at the historic balcony - "One picture defining one generation and one picture defining another." As Harsha rightly said, that media centre is truly amazing.
And for this generation, it's all about India's one of the bravest comeback in a test match. Changing a lost a game to win it at the last session at th home of cricket ... dated 16/08/2021
Steeped in tradition, that's why it's called the Mecca of cricket. Same applies to most other grounds in England. Beautiful green outfields. My favorite place to watch cricket.
@@shashanksubramaniam7342 funny to read my old comment. Now neither I am interested in cricket nor in Kholi. Although happy to know that our cricket team is doing good in englad.
Been there 3 years back !! Wasn't allowed to take pictures in the long room !! The paintings in the room are priceless. Also there's one big big picture of Tendulkar coming out of dressing room in his final test match and people in the adjacent stands taking picture of him and a beaming sunlight spotting on Sachin. You must have shown that. Also in the dressing room , you have only 1 black old chair (ofcourse along with old fashioned seats without back support) and 1 small tv display , which Dhoni always uses and till date Dhoni has never went out in the balcony to see the proceedings of the match, he always watches with his back behind the ground and sees it on the display, That's what the guide of the lord's told me. The media centre has been built such a way that the glass is made to angle 60 degree so that when a batsmen is batting , he doesn't get the reflection/glare of the sunlight from the glass of the media centre.
Why this video ended! I was assuming that it will continue forever......And one thing I must admit that HARSHA BHOGLE....The Name Itself gives goosebumps

I always and still believe that the world hasn't yet seen this guy called Harsha Bhogle just bcoz he does commentary for this small game called cricket played just across 14 countries. As much as its a loss, wish he moves on to different sport and there is no doubt that he will cast his spell wherever he goes. He is just way too talented to just be confined to one sport.
In the entire video, Harsha Bhogle mentioned Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Rahul Dravid, but Sourav Ganguly once. One must remember that Ganguly also scored his first century at Lord's. He was the one who made the team believe that, despite India not being a large-sized economy at the time, they could look their opponents straight in the eyes and play the game. However, he never bothered to show his shirt present in the museum. I have seen biased people, but not to this extent
That Sourav Ganguli's bare chested shirt wave has got to be one of the most iconic moment in Indian cricket, especially since he was the captain himself. To those who don't know the background, Flintoff had done the exact same thing sometime back when he took the last wicket in an ODI match a while back. That time Eng had won the match and the series.
The thing about Sunil Gavaskars skull cap, it was actually more of an added danger than a protector, if he had been hit on the temple while wearing that he wouldve never made it, wearing no skull cap was a far better and safer option (and thats what he did, for most part he did not wear it).
