I have a question. You put all the waypoints and it's all clear. But what if you approach your destiantion airport on 90 degrees to the runaway? I need to approach straight to the runaway, not perpendicular to it. How to sort this out before starting to fly? You will say add more waypoints? But they are not always in there. For example try to fly from Lanzarotte to Fuerteventura and you won't see many waypoints to direct you to the runaway. What to do in these cases?
My apologies, but nothing you say regarding entries into SimBrief works or is even remotely like it is displayed in that website in 2021 with regard to entering a departure or arrival airport. Anyway, why did you not show how to enter new airports, seeing as we spent time looking up airports in the previous step at the Airport Codes website? Again, my apologies if I'm being dumb, but I got zip out of your video explanation.
How are these courses plotted if all the links aren't in the flight. For instance. I'm looking at flights for KEAR to KDEN. All of them have like 8 waypoints. But only 2-3 are actually listed in the routes.

why you are making more hard time creating a Flight plan??? Why you don't use a direct flight plane from X plane 11???? making it more complicating, most don't have another flight plan than XP.11.
I was doing a lot of reading about this kind of stuff yesterday. If I remember correctly, imagine we didn't have roads and everyone just drove their cars wherever they wanted to. We wouldn't know where other cars were coming from and we'd be heading towards obstacles which we'd need to navigate round at the last moment etc. etc. Obviously, in a plane you are travelling at significantly higher speeds and have to deal with the 3rd dimension where planes could be coming up beneath you or from above. It's a lot more hazardous. So I think all of the flight-planning stuff is there to make for a much safer journey. I think I also read that planes flying east will use an odd numbered altitude (e.g. 30000ft) whereas planes flying west use an even numbered altitude (e.g. 32000ft). This allows for vertical separation between planes which I guess reduces the chance of mid-air collisions.

FYI, in skyVector you can also click drag the route line to any waypoint/navaid you want.

You can use it to build a flight plan for your Sim, but not allowed to submit that flight plan. Use Simbrief for that.
