Im a Spectro main, and to add more info, you dont need to delay your 4th basic attack after 3rd basic attack to trigger Rovers heavy attack without consuming stamina. just hold left click right after your 3rd basic attack to trigger the heavy attack ASAP (useful if to reduce pressure on finishing the combo vs. evading enemy attacks coz ur waitng for the delay to apply the hevay attack for the forte guage to fill up.)
While Spectro Rover shine in a sub dps role, make no mistake, he is also a beast as a burst dps. When paired with Mourning Aix and Jianxin as a sub dps, Rover's burst can hit to around 30k at level 60. While having a slightly lower multiplier to its Havoc counterpart, Spectro Rover's liberation hit twice which gave it a slightly better chance of hitting enemies. The low cd and high energy regeneration makes it so that his burst is a consistent source of dps.
I'm getting to know him now and I'm already enjoying it, I love my Rover and I find it very difficult to find content creators who really think about the character without just getting hyped with havoc.
Tbh, characters with resistance shred is needed in the game, its an easy way for f2p and low spenders to do more damage, without sequences and more multipliers
One thing that I was a bit disappointed about, is that I tested in TOA if I could bring Spectro Rover and Havoc Rover on different sides, but it seems Rover shares the same "stamina cost" between all elements. So for players like me who main Havoc mc, but are also getting Jinhsi it's a little disappointing because I feel the game is disincentivizing me from trying to use/build both units
But if u think about it, Rover will get more elements in the future and if we are going by your logic, Rover will have multiple staminas which would make some characters useless as u can keep using rover to clear ToA floors. I think it's more of choosing which type of Rover playstyle you like and committing to it.
btw since u most likely use swap cancel alot in Jinhsi's team because of her long ass animation, it's better to get a brief time stop than a damage buff since it will gone if u swap anw.
The issue is I really don't think you are going to want a Spectro team Jinhsi unless you get S2. The stacks want to encourage an element split team and off field damage. I'm definitely pairing mine with Yinlin and I haven't leveled Mortefi yet but i think he should be a good choice.
Spectro Rover's role will be relegated to a Rejuv buffer in a Jinhsi comp, because Jinhsi requires coordinated attacks to quickly fill up her forte. Yinlin is her best Coordinated Attacker, followed by Yuanwu, and Mortefi being last but only by a small margin compared to Yuanwu. You'll have to put Verina to a different team.
This is going to be my appraoch - I'm rolling Jinshi to build a Spectro team. I've got 2 other teams being built - Calcharo/Yinlin and Jiyan/Mortefi so hopefully I can start hitting the Tower hard soon.
The only thing we missing is a MC gacha character that can use any type of weapon. While still having the genshing/wuwa/HSR i think that would definitely break the MC trope that most games of the genre struggle with,
Mostly play Spec Rover with Jian. Rovers time slow helps Jian setup her shield and they synergise really well. I pulled Jian as my free 5* and used my selector box and selection pull for her also. No regrets.
Ah.. a Light Rover guide! Allow me to also contribute.. v: Here are some tips from me from maining Rover... - Use Charge Attack often.. his 2nd charge attack [the one where he has grab animation] are important to build his Forte - His charge attack [the flying sword], from throwing to the end of spinning are all Parry Windows, use it to your advantage.. - his follow up charge attack are amazing gap closer, use it to lock unto one enemy fast
@@rudytorres6749 if you already have good Mourning Aix, stick to it.. since Rover's big damage came from his Liberation.. Jue is okay if you're farming alongside Jinxi for the efficiency.. both are fine.. and it feels better to play since Jue is a Summon type Echo, not Transform
Okay, this sounds wild, but im actually thinking about jinhsi, havoc rover, and yuanwu team. the idea is, jinhsi and HRover will deals most of the damage, we will do a quick swap team since both are specializes in burst damages, you can bursts the enemy with jinhsi, swap to HRover, do the combo, and go back to jinhsi. i think its a better idea than doing with SRover, since HRover's outro actually deals decent amout of dmg in medium AOE. But she's not released yet so this is just my wild theory. and for the 3rd slot, its actually pretty flexible, i think verina is significantly better but she is already on my team 1. i think this 3rd slot should be better if we got an off field character (which is yinlin, mort, or yuanwu). But here i choose yuanwu since they have 1 knuckle that regenerate our HP after basic attack, and pair him with a rejuvenating set. Also i rarely see people actually using yuanwu's vibration dmg boost tech, so i'll definitely do a test about that. How do you think?
Oh i forgot one thing, jinhsi's forte forces you to have at least different elements for another character slots. it says that there's a stack that you need to fill by doing damage with another character, and it has 3 second cooldown for 1 element to adds 1 stacks. so having different elements should increase the stacks much faster
Jue focuses on resonance skill damage while the aix focuses on liberation. Rover does most of their damage with liberation rather than skill, so that's why Aix is recommended.
Question does Jinsi have kit that if pair with a spectro element will have less stack i dont know what dat is but can u check? If it does, does it have major impact on her overall dps?
yes, and yes. her kit is heavily revolved around building stacks for her resonance. imo can only pair with other spectro if u have S2 on jinhsi which removes this limitation
yes, u have 3 options 1. use team that buff jinhsi damage but will take long time to get full stack (like spectro rover or taoqi) 2. use team that will get jinhsi's stack faster but less buff (like yinlin or yuanwu) 3. use team that buff jinhsi damage & jinhsi stack faster but no support healer
As a guide for rovers its ok, but dont go telling people to build a character as support for a future 5* if you dont read leaks or check the ptr (you sayd so in another comment) jinhsi need 3 diferent elements to maximize the passive stacking
She's a Spectro damage dealer and Rover heals while reducing spectro res. That amount of flexibility in their kit lets them take on many roles across her potential teams.
I don't look at character kits until release so I can't give a comment on that interaction. All I know is that -10% spectro res is a massive dmg buff that could off-set what you're talking about.

You are probably my favorite Wuwa content creator rn. Keep up the good work!

Well, he is only one character. Makes sense.
What you can try is using 'weaker' units for the floors 1 and 3 of the tower to "save" 4 energy for either version of MC to use on both sides.
But if u think about it, Rover will get more elements in the future and if we are going by your logic, Rover will have multiple staminas which would make some characters useless as u can keep using rover to clear ToA floors. I think it's more of choosing which type of Rover playstyle you like and committing to it.
people solo'ed the easier floors of TOA...so you can do that, the switch to mc rover for higher floors
I also find that disappointing. You can even save diff load outs lol

Spectro Rover has the upside of actually doing damage even on a support set! Fantastic teammate especially with Yuanwu/Yinlin
I’m struggling to run havoc Rover as a DPS and spectro Rover as a Jinhsi support. The fact that I’m torn on how to use the MC is insane.
I use my H. Rover as nuke burst support dealer. With Danjin doing most of DPS.
This is going to be my appraoch - I'm rolling Jinshi to build a Spectro team. I've got 2 other teams being built - Calcharo/Yinlin and Jiyan/Mortefi so hopefully I can start hitting the Tower hard soon.
Doesn't Jihnsi want other attribute instead of spectro?
She gain less Forte when the other are of same element
Yes he is the best in all gacha games, since he is a free unit and powerful.
The only thing we missing is a MC gacha character that can use any type of weapon. While still having the genshing/wuwa/HSR i think that would definitely break the MC trope that most games of the genre struggle with,
Gbf's danchous have been doing this for years

Which echo sonata set are you going to put on Spectro Rover? I think I might try a Rejuvenating Glow sub-DPS Rover with Energy Regen/Spectro/Crit!
Let me try that.
Im thinking to use moonlight cloud sonata to buff jinshi.
Thinking Jinshi, Rover (Moonlit), Taoqi (Heal/Bell) could do some work. Slight shields / heals for sustain and boosting the crap out of Jinshis dmg
Stop calling her JinSHI, why the hell people spelling her name wrong when her name was hsi before being chosen by the sentinal
@@kylecarey4189 nice bait
i wouldve started building weeks ago if i had money for jinshi 😔
Genshin could never!! (Also includes all hoyoverse :D). Rover is THE MC of MCs jaja
Got her all spectro set I'm ready!

Im using spectro only for jinshi 😂 and ive invested soo much shes the only character on the team besides TOA
Rumored? Jinshi has been confirmed Spectro for a while now D:
it's for the damage dealer part, though after seeing her laser beam in the trailer I think it's confirmed she's a DPS
jinhsi stacking is severely reduced unless u have s2 i believe? which kinda defeats the "cheap" part
Even at s2 it only works once at the start of rotation I believe. Unless the "out of combat" is a mistranslation
I don't look at character kits until release so I can't give a comment on that interaction. All I know is that -10% spectro res is a massive dmg buff that could off-set what you're talking about.
