When I look at old photos like these, it helps me realize that whatever emotions I am going through will someday be just a memory. Thank you, and great work!!!
Yes! Stay in motion. Everything changes.
Yes, the world is just going to keep on pushin' when we're gone. Enjoy the moment.
And one day those memories will be lost to time. The millions of life stories that came before, the stories we have now and the stories yet to be told.
Damn that was deep. Such a beautiful thing to say.
@@apexerman1 YeS! You nailed it!
I want to cry. My world. The world that was real. Slower paced. A More genuine world. A world gone bye.😕
I think the same as you do .
Stay well .❤
From Brazil with much love
Yep, the Great Depression, WW1, WW2, Korean War, Vietnam War, Segregation aside . . .
Don’t despair, rather consider yourself lucky to have witnessed such a time. It can only be imagined by most. Remember the good times. 👍👍
A more genuine world it was.
America will be great again one day
Very well done!! Asthonishing quality from these old pitures and the beautiful coloring.... liked also the music.... please more!!!!
Absolutely, 100% agree.❤
I think the black and white add so much more emotion to the image
Hard to believe how captivatingly interesting this presentation is. Well done!
This made me feel very calm. Almost sad. What a powerful video I love that nothing was said.
Oh! What a surprise to be looking at these from Klamath Falls, Oregon and suddenly seeing a photo from here taken in 1942! I love all of these, they feel like a dream.
I just stumbled upon this video and I am viewing it from Eugene, Oregon. Oct. 13, 2024. My Grandma would have loved this.
This was a wonderful compilation of times our parents were alive, dressed the same, played like these children…a simple life except wwII….Thank you!
Nice work and nice touch with the colorization. A well done video!
Superb.. Time passes slowly, but fast.. We are here today, and gone tomorrow.. Life is precious, but fleeting..
The music was nice, a kind of melancholic dream..
Bingo!
I took a look from curiosity, then stayed for the entire vid, pausing and looking intently at many of the pictures. Good stuff.
I agree with Helen-Spires comment. Every earthly thing we have, including US, will someday be a memory. These memories are wonderful. Thank You !!
Absolutely awesome. Cannot thank you enough.
Amazing photos brings a tear to my eyes of the forgotten souls
I love seeing the transformation of these photos from black and white to color. It's like breathing new life into them.
I like to get on google earth and see the changes and transformations over time one example is at 6:44- 100 collage Av (or nearby) Kennett Missouri the old building hasn’t changed much in 82yrs and in the photo it actually looks like a buzzing little town, whereas nowadays it looks very quiet…
What a gorgeous colorization technique! You are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stunning colorization and selection of photos. I was born in January 1941 and am a retired draftee, police officer and photographer.
The colored old photos are amazing never had when I was a kid!
It's obvious the times were tough back then. But I can't help but think how much better and happier I would have been living back then then today.
Yes...
I think today is complicated life.. especially for us older folks.. speaking for myself.. 40.. 50 years ago.. people were more social.. and cared for each other.
Greed and selfishness has overcome us..
May God Bless you and yours..!
@@doylebunton5741 thank you and God bless you too
LESS PEOPLE😳😬😆
@user-pinckneysux Sure, there were less people worldwide, but so many of those rural farming towns had more farms with smaller acreage than today. And what with there being almost no labor-saving devices- and no birth control- farmers had on average 12 to 15 children. Those little one room schoolhouses were often kept going by just three or four families. People raised rural knew the facts of life younger because of raising animals and crops and helping to take care of their siblings, so they tended to marry and have children younger than now. And Churches reinforced the "Be fruitful and multiply" mindset.
@@user-pinckneysux When I was young, in the early 1980s, I attended a Church where most families had 6 to 7 children. Most of those Church kids married other Church kids and had 3 to 5 children. But the next generation is having 2 to 3 kids. Or not marrying. Draw your own conclusions as to why.
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING PICTURES OF OUR PAST HISTORY.
Wonderful video! Love the transformation from B&W to color followed by caption...My imagination enjoyed the ride!
Man, that photo of the Hansom cab at 19:10 is really sharp and clear for 1900.
Very subtle colorization.
A unique sight seeing trip through time the music was ok this time capsule showed america and the world at war and at times when people were trying to enjoy a bit of peace !!
Wonderful, the color brings them to life.
Very much reminds me of my really early childhood
Great Job on these vintage photos of the way we were~!!! I liked and subscribed too~!!!
A time capsule to a whole other world. We wouldn't know how to live like them and vice versa. Its surreal.
Every Pic a Journey into Time.... 👍
Great reproductions, very interesting. Thank you.
At 6:11 into this video the age 17 yrs, young woman really got to me . Such a strong look of a huge love and pride for her country and people. Man could we use more of that right now.
Nicely paced and powerful reflections. For a brief moment, we can imagine the lives of people from their respective time periods and wonder what dreams and fears filled their minds. This sort of perspective needs to be shown in school. In a world saturated with fleeting digital content, younger eyes should be required to understand the context of the past.
I love the piano. I love to find that piece add to my music library.
Best colonization, great pace to view and read!
Thank you!
Wonderful time capsule
Really great .....Thanks,
Sorprendente son cápsulas del tiempo
Pele's suit looks like a million bucks!!! Killer style,....
Absolutely love this ❤
This is awesome 👍 here's a little game, try to guess where it is before the info comes up.
I do that on everything it is real fun!
It's nice that you show the picture for a while before you put the script up so we can actually look at the picture for awhile instead of putting both up at the same time and taking all of it away before we can see both and read.😉🙏😇
I certainly can't look away from the misspelt "defination" 😂
the "Girls in the Window" photo was shot in color originally by Ormond Gigli
I like the color
Me too. When I was young I never saw history photos in color I saw history as more dull or scary! This makes it more realistic also what’s the big deal with these complaining ppl he shows black and white too… I guess it’s called selfishness forget what everyone else might like color photos, it’s all about Me me …..
12:28 that may be a picture of Zebulon Pike of whom pikes Peak is named after, but that is not Pikes peak. Could be orig Barr camp (approximately 1/2 way up) Pikes Peak is above tree line. There are no trees at at the top. Pikes Peak is over 14,000ft and tree line is approximately 11,000 ft
Nice job. I enjoy this. I also like old films, that people read their lips too, so we know what they are saying or thinking.
Snappy dressers. Adorable kids, sure know how to dress
Great job on this video , question : how do you know all the exact colors. ,it amazing , THANK you Frank from montana........
There's no way they can. Just take your best guess. I noticed earth tones are used a lot.
Great----
Les gens avaient de la classe.👍
I’ve been watching your collections of old photos. Many are B&W, many have been colorized and look great.
My question is, can any of these photos be purchased? I would like to make a collection on my wall, each framed differently.
13:32 is the fertilizer explosion while loading a ship in Texas City, Texas. The explosion immediately killed more than 500 people and wounded more than 5,000
6:44
101 collage av (or nearby) Kennett Missouri, the old buildings still stands and looks exactly the same today except for the windows and a few minor changes.... I love Google Earth
At 4:05 Red Wing Iron Rangers
History is very interesting. Watching this makes me think that probably only 10% of these people are still alive.
History is most interesting always something shocking, and people use to be much stronger and thicker skin they had to be to survive!
I throughly enjoyed this video. The only problem I had a hard time reading the subtitles under the pictures. It’s sad to see some time eras from my childhood. All those people from the war era a lot of them must be gone by now. I know that things were more simpler back then maybe happier but without a lot of benefits. People were skinnier back in those days because they didn’t have too much money to buy nutritional food and they were limited to how much food to eat. Yes there were also a lot of hardship’s back then.
There were no fat people back then. What happened to us?
Conspiracy of corporations - junk food, fast food, TV, social media, cars to everywhere.
People can't say no. We still have vegetables, grains and fruits. Also many don't know OR want to cook. Kids are raised on McDonalds, pizza and cereals. There are whole aisles dedicated to junk, ice cream and cookies, chips, donuts and cakes. People want these easy foods.
No one wants to work in this country anymore, that’s what happened…..sad.
Can the software detect actual colors in the original photo? Or is it educated selection by the editor?
I think these pics are Black and White but someone colorized them.
1:23 navy guy Linda looks like the time travel photo guy with the sunglasses ,..
The entire crew of Waddy's Wagon were killed on a mission over Japan on Jan 9, 1945.
0:58 Window-Washer Guy is wearing a tie. (Wonder how many of these photos are staged, or if ties were THAT prevalent. On similar note, I have heard there was a 'tie wear' debate for SW Pacific US naval officers during WWII, which also seems hard to believe.)
Defination eh?
👍👍👍
@10:01 the location is identified as G Street in NYC. IDK of any G Street in NYC.
6:44
101 collage av Kennett Missouri, 82yrs later and the only difference is the windows I believe... I love comparing on Google Earth
2:00/22:29 In WADDY"S WAGON's Real Counterpart beside their Own B-29, where is Their PET DOG beside that Big WHEEL?
Great to see colorization, but some of these were shot in black and white on purpose, such as the Dorothea Lange.
Is defination a word?
Bear witness
Says the Lord your God !!!!! The Lord Your God want to see and repent and till this day people will not believe nor repent nor learn nothing from the past or past generations !!!
Back when times were simpler and not so overwhelming
Welll, they, too, were overwhemed by two World Wars, stock market crash, Great Depression, Dust Bowl, Earthquake, etc.
I wonder what happened to the ordinary people in those photos, how their lives panned out.
👏👏👏
I want to see monochrome photos in colour. Thank you.😊
I feel so sorry for those horses that had to pull those carts full of food. They didn’t get fed a full horses amount and they still had to pull them! 😢
Ppl were kind to horses and had to feed them plenty of food and water enough to satisfy the horse. The horse is the most stubborn animal known to ppl. It will not move if it doesn’t not get its way also they are very very strong and need plenty of food or they will die when their muscles get to weak to pull!! Horses are also ppl animals yes they Love humans and other animals. Our cats and dogs even chickens if you allowed them would hang out with the horses and try to sleep with them too but chickens and others have to be maintained in areas always from horse but sometimes we allowed them to play and they did play a lot!!!
how are pols in warsaw.... insurgents ... ?
I am sorry, but these comments about a better time in the past are ridiculous. I am 68, times have always been tough, chaotic and uncertain, some tougher than others for sure. I grew up through the Cold War, Vietnam, Campus Riots etc. and my Father grew up through the Great Depression, WWII and all the rest......the times you live through you will remember fondly as that's how the human psych works.
Thank you very much for your realistic comment.
Everything was better before technology went to far and made us into a world of entitled fools that don’t know the value of a hard days work… just my opinion though.
I cannot abide by colorisation. It distorts the original, turns photos into false statements. That said, thanks for sharing important pics
I enjoyed the music and photographs selection . You could have received a thumbs up or like, however, the description was blurry and the length of time for it displayed was lousy. I had to vote thumbs down, edit better next time won't ya.
Insurgents in Warsaw in 1944?? Who wrote the BS on that photo? They were Polish citizens fighting the occupiers, as did the Iraqis in 1991...
Haunting, and sort of sad. All these people. Probably all dead and gone now. Only Jesus has enough love to care for them all.
There where no fat people, because they all worked hard at home and work, and still found happiness in their lives.
Some of these "colorized pictures are poorly done. Most of them barely do much changing from the B/W
Always an ass in the bunch.
I like them better NOT colorized.
Toooo slow.
I don't want to see b&w photos in color.
You don't have to look.
Then don’t watch the video
Your one of these pathetic people who complain about everything and do nothing just don't watch
So why would you click on a video marked “colorizing old photos?” What a self-own.
The other commenters are criticizing you for giving your opinion and that's not fair. I agree with you. I prefer black and whites to stay that way, but it doesn't mean I don't want to not see the photos.
Colorizing does not show the whole scene; black-and-white photos show the true picture.
Your choice of music putting me to sleep can't watch anymore
Loose the Dark music
Probably texting while driving caused the car accident
Damn Music... I dozed off 3 times. 😴🛌 Nice video though.
🇺🇲😊
first off, way too slow. and what's with adding fake color Here? It's just tacky. There's no good reason for it here. I can't watch any more of it, after about 4 pictures.
Photos you CAN'T look away from ! Well, I just did. CLICK BAIT .
So long ago all those people are gone
Imagine how embarrassed you would be if you posted a video with a glaring spelling error in the title, and you were so clueless that it was able to accrue hundreds of thousands of views by the time it was brought to your attention. I guess you run that risk anytime you compose something in a foreign language, and release it without having it proofread first. I would be totally mortified and would dread the teasing I would get from my friends, subscribers, and patrons.
Imagine being the only one that "kares"
