This is the woman young girls/people should be looking up to. She has such a tough story, she overcame it and when she became champ she said "I'm just a normal person". I really hope the UFC markets her and she stays champ for a long time

There's a pecking order and u take turns at the belt (that's how it should be anyway). U don't want to see the same fighters fight over and over again. There are others who has earned the chance as well. JJ and others had their opportunites at the belt and now Rose got hers

Rokas Stupakovas haha. I gave rose a chance but I honestly thought Joanna’s striking would be too much for Rose. Obviously I was wrong. Rose somehow managed to avoid Joanna’s viscous striking and then land bombs. Wasn’t expecting that at all. Amazing performance.
Its called the 70% of wrong fans admitting they were wrong and the 30% that was right taking over. It happens every upset. By the way I was in that 30% when it came to this fight.

And then, in this interview, she says that it wasn’t even her correct walk out song, and proceeds to completely trash the song haha. “Worst song ever.” 😭💔 She just crushed my soul. That walk out song was one of my highlights of the night haha.
It actually has a very fitting lyric that fits in with Rose’s mantra pretty well: *“I need to be myselffff / I can’t be no one elseeee”*

I can't think of a better woman boxer in mma than Rose. Before people point out Holly Holm, actually go back and look at her boxing fights closely. If you have some understanding of skillful boxing you won't be impressed. Same goes for Heather Hardy. Rose just seems to 'get it'. Her rhythm and movement both offensively and defensively are very fluid and she throws correctly.
I'm starting to think that, too. That lunging left hook she used to finish the fight looks extremely difficult to setup, let alone execute. And she landed it cleanly. And there was a moment in the fight where she effortlessly slipped and countered one of Joanna's punches. Add to that, she mixes up her boxing with so many other disciplines and variables. It's an insane amount of skills to integrate together. Trevor Wittman must be one hell of a teacher; and Rose, one hell of a student.
I LOOOOOVE how humble and respectful she is! Definitely champion caliber! Congrats 🌹! !

So Valentina was key in giving Rose the playbook on JJ. Not bad. I wanted JJ to at least top sore loser Rousey's wins but I know that the little dynamite finally just had it coming with her attitude.
I don't know if she gave her the playbook but fighting Valentina and her sister Antionia everyday makes JJ seem a lot more human.
I thought Joanna was going to steam roll her but was happy to see her win. She's a positive role model for all the upcoming female fighters and this is what more UFC champions should be like.
