Sorry if this reply was a bit waffly, but the whole thing makes me feel sad-the bride probably felt she had to go through with it, despite every instinct telling her to run.

Wow. I'm in the same position, except it was five years with my fiance. It's hurtful and hard, but we've got a better life to look forward to. At least we won't be mummy 2 anymore
The fact that his Billy's were dressed like they're from a peaky blinders set ,and her bridesmaids were in piggy onesies and a wig ! Is so upsetting 😫I can't get past that.
My theory is pigs were already his favorite animal, and he forced "pig" to be a sort of inside joke in the relationship so he could get pig-related things and claim they're presents for her "to show how much he cared". Also imagine all the people trying to save money by renting a suit/dress then having to buy it outright because the shop won't take it back stinking of pig sh***.
Luxerias face slowly changing from confused, to horrified, to almost tearing up for the bride, to dissociating was on point for the rollercoaster of emotions this show took me through
God, I hate how the bridesmaids and the bride's family always desperately try to save the sinking boat that is these weddings and almost try to gaslight the bride that everything is okay when in fact it is not.. And in the end the brides are the ones who have to compromise while the grooms get to enjoy themselves
Yes! The constant "don't get upset", "don't cry, it's fine" etc is upsetting to hear and seems part of how she got to this point in the first place. Her standards are lowered to accept disrespect. Also, it's just sad that no one was validating her feelings
Most "farm" weddings ive attended have been at wedding venues that look like a nice barn or field, but not a working farm. Working pig farms smell like poop. So not only does she have to deal with his pig record and the onsies, but also everyone has to pretend it doesnt smell like a working farm.
And as the owner stated when he visited the venue earlier on, the smell stays on you and your clothes. So they all would’ve reeked of pig poo and mud for the rest of the day! Inconsideration to the nth degree
I genuinely think he's not grown up from thinking bullying = banter = legend. He's lowkey bullying his partner with his insistence of nickname It's a red flag for everything else
I remember seeing this episode and I just remember being so angry at him, she told him she wanted it to be serious and he made her into a joke, don't know how she didn’t leave him at the alter
Apparently if the bride doesn't go through with the wedding she has to pay back the money plus production costs. They are forced through financial pressure.
I’m only about halfway through but I’m so hoping she’ll end up like the brewery bride and just never actually file the paperwork. I’m so furious for her.
i feel like this show goes beyond just "men being incompetent" and rather shows how inconsiderate these men are. like it's just their world and their partners are just living in it. watching how defeated some of these women look is truly heartbreaking
ik this is a bit trauma dump-esque but I’m in ED recovery and watching Luxeria lose her mind over various things is my favourite thing to watch whilst eating to distract myself ❤❤
Best wishes and encouragement in recovery. You got this. And, Lux is a comfort person and her content is a safe thing for me to have on too. I totally get you.
We need to stop trying to fix people. I love what Luxeria said about not lowering her standards and not letting people that don't live up to them in her life. There's a country song that says 'Shoes Don't Stretch, and Men Don't Change'
I’m only 20 min in but this man seems to have never asked if his partner ACTUALLY liked pigs, he just decided she did one day and started buying her pig ornaments
The bridesmaid had it right when she said "is it everyone or just us who will be dressed like idiots?" The groomsmen didnt have to wear pig onesies, or wellies. They got nice suits and dress shoes. So yes, it was just the bride and bridesmaid who he wanted to dress like idiots.
1:00:24 it is only just now occurring to me that groomsmen are wearing normal outfits while the bridesmaids are wearing pig costumes this is just so disgusting every decision was basically an f you to the poor bride
Not the Welsh twins 😂😂😂 I'm dying cause all the queer British people I follow on UA-cam literally know/reference eachother all the time and I had no idea lol
what is it with these men knowing absolutely nothing about their long-term partners!! i used to work at a flower shop and, let me tell you, the amount of male customers who came in to buy flowers for their wives/girlfriends and didn't even know their favourite colour... like, my guy, tf you mean you've been married for five years and the best you can give me is "lol, idk what she likes, just give me five red roses". IN THE BIN.
As Luxeria mentions, it's been said that the contract for the show states the couple have to go through with the ceremony or they have to pay the money back. I assume most people who sign up to the show do it because they can't afford the cost otherwise, so it puts the brides in an impossible situation. Do they take on several thousand in debt or go through with it? The sad thing is these two apparently stayed together.
I'M SORRY NOT SORRY. This mofo can throw out money ($250) for a pig cake, and ($100) for pig onesies but can't pay for his wife's cab fare to her own bachelorette?! PLEASE MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
3 pigs on 3 tears of cake, with a word under each. The words at the top of the cake will be "I'll be with you through..." and then the pigs. A cute pretty little piggy with the words "the good", an angry little boar that looks much less cute with the words "the bad", and a more realistic hog rolling in dirt and mud with the words "and the ugly". THAT'S how you make the best pig-themed wedding cake.
My cousin who owned a pig farm once hosted our family reunion. They had the barns and stys cleaned 2 weeks before the event but rather than improving the smell it made it worse. This was 30 years ago and i can still recall that odor to this day. It would make your eyes water 💦😷 🤢
Even if I grew up on a beautiful pig farm, pigs were my favourite animal, and I was saved by a pig in a freak accident, I would NEVER force my fiance to marry me on a pig farm if they did not want to. I don't understand how many of these men keep putting themselves before their fiances boundaries? "I WaNnA bE UNiqUe aNd FuN And I dO noT ReSpECt yOU, WhOm I supPOSedLy loVE!"
All I can think of is that King of the Hill Halloween episode with the insane pig farmer that wanted Luanne to be his pig-farm themed bride and dressed up like a pig and everything was about pigs. That is not something any real life events should ever remind anyone of.
There is a "where are they now" video on youtube, and apparently they were still together 2 years ago, and she looks just as unhappy in the video as she looks here... They have 2 kids now, which is crazy to me, I would have not gone through with the wedding at all
@@fallenking578 With him as a role model the kids will likely end up with abusive or as abusive spouses themselves, continuing the cycle of intergenerational trauma.
Theory/question: is there an element here of straight women needing someone else to see what’s happening in their relationships to validate their feelings of “this isn’t good enough”. Do they need some social disapproval of their partner’s behaviour to feel worthy of leaving them? It’s like they really don’t trust their inner voice/knowing at all… Until enough others tell them “yes. This is terrible. You deserve better.”
Especially as all her friends and family keep saying “it’s alright. Don’t cry.” I’m sure they mean well but it’s basically saying that what he’s doing is OK and she should just keep quiet.
I think that there may be a combination of factors going on here: women in that area are accustomed to men in that area not acting like they should, so the overall standards for men are lower; and women in lower socioeconomic conditions often have children before marriage, and thus are willing to “overlook” things they shouldn’t in order to legitimize their relationship in more conservative areas.
To be fair, everyone around her is telling her to just accept it and not cry, even her own family. It's possible this has been their reaction to every horrible thing he's done (and I'm sure he's done plenty) and she has been conditioned into just accepting it as her cross to bear. I feel like a certain amount of cishet people have just kind of given up on actually being happy and just go along with what's expected of them, particularly (but not limited to) cishet women.
Asking the universe to bring us back to the film buff type grooms, who may have not known what their bride envisioned for a wedding, but they knew their bride and made the day actually special and a celebration for her.
I think it’s only fair to let you know I’ve spent this entire video singing, to the tune of Uptown Girl, “Uptown pig, she wears a very fancy curly wig”
If a bride says "I just wanna get it over with". That's an epic fail. I must say though Luxeria, your cut aways are getting funnier and appealing to my surreal humour. So I genuinely did LOL a few times at parts of this, which is hard for me to do from a video.
I know his type. One of those guys who loves to joke and prank but can't take jokes/criticism of any kind. You could see it when there was even the slightest amount of push back, he would get so angry and instantly defensive. It's just a joke bro, no my guy, you are.
You must be the most glamorous woman on YT- the makeup, the hair, the style- just flawless! So glad you're back to regular vids Lux, and I hope you are ridiculously happy in your new place! 🖤🖤
Those bridesmaid 'gowns' look either like sundresses or nighties. Plus I would've thought the groom to choose 'ballet slipper' pink to complement the pig theme, a much more sophisticated and romantic colour than this bright berry purple... 🐷💜🐖🩷
This doesn't even feel like he's making the wedding a joke, he's straight up trying to humiliate her. The nail in the coffin for me was the Bride's maid had those cheap ping onesies while the groom's men get to dress normal. it's very "putting the women in their place" kind of vibes and it's very icky
Someone up there commented that maybe her friends never liked him and he saw this as his chance to finally get revenge and humiliate them. And I think they're spot on. Not even his own bride got the level of vitriol her friends got.
The fact she's had to tell him not to treat their wedding as a joke tell me everything I need to know about him, no sympathy for her, she's puts up with it and anyone going on this show, knows what it's about
Picture it. 2007 and I’m 26 thinking that don’t tell the bride will be cute and about weddings. You start rooting for them to have a perfect wedding and each time an episode comes out you realise more and more that it’s set to fail and these men don’t give a shit and the women are in denial. Car crash tv! Huzzah.
I was listening to a Podcast where someone applied to be on DTTB, and he was planning on this stunning wedding his Bride would love. However, Production wanted him to do a 50 Shades wedding. They didn't participate. So.......
At the end of almost every episode I'm like, "she should have married the best man.". Like bruv, why's your best friend know more about your significant other than you? And not even in a "the groom's best friend is in love with the bride." kind of way. Literally just pays more attention and treats the brides like humans and not extensions of self. This guy is fucking weird. And not in a good way. AT ALL.
He doesn't know what her colours are, he doesn't even know her well enough to realise she doesn't actually like the pig thing and she has to do all his housework and washing...why does she like him? My Mum used to tell me a story, to illustrate why I should never settle. She had a friend who married a guy, who would do things like pull her chair out from under her as a joke, because she was terrified of being alone. It was a horrible marriage for her and they ended up divorced. Sometimes I wonder if my standards are too high...and then I remember that story.
idk if I'm looking too deeply into it but the whole "she's my lil pig" thing almost feels like a subtle abuse - She says herself she doesn't even really like pigs and the pet name just stuck. Putting the bridesmaids in pig onesies and saying "she wanted to look better than her bridesmaids" - it indicates that he KNOWS the connotations of calling someone a pig. I get the vibe that she probably doesn't like the pet name, but just goes along with it because it's "not a big deal". It's so subtle, and it's just a joke, after all. She wouldn't want to spoil the joke by overreacting. I don't think the pig joke is as harmless and cute as he pretends it is. At the very least he seems super manipulative
You could do a cute quirky pig themed wedding, host wedding in a nice barn venue with twinkly lights, reception outside, cute white wedding dress and pink satin bow as an accent, have pictures done with cute lil piglets (obvs have an animal handler so nothing gets outta hand) obvs dont make decorations pig themed n stuff just keep it subtle. if you want fun Bachelorette party you can go harder on the theme 🥳 higher a drag queen dressed as miss piggy 🐷 and give the girls lil headbands with ears. And everyone wears pink 😊

He obviously has no problem and even enjoys humiliating women, including his wife. But never would he have his male friends embarrassed like that
My theory is pigs were already his favorite animal, and he forced "pig" to be a sort of inside joke in the relationship so he could get pig-related things and claim they're presents for her "to show how much he cared". Also imagine all the people trying to save money by renting a suit/dress then having to buy it outright because the shop won't take it back stinking of pig sh***.
The face that farmer makes, tells us that yes, this is unreasonable and idiotic.
Not the pigs!!
Why do I feel like this is what would happen if Gaston from beauty and the beast planned a wedding.
Best comment EVER🤣
Gaston wouldn't do this. He could get mud on his suit.
@@SaheeliRaiand he seems like he’s more into deer than pigs
hee hee hee hon hon hon
I genuinely think he's not grown up from thinking bullying = banter = legend.
He's lowkey bullying his partner with his insistence of nickname
It's a red flag for everything else
Not even low key. He straight up abuses her and her brides maids, laughs in their faces, and expect that no one will stand up to him
@@fallenking578 Yep, he does it because he knows he can get away with it and he did
nailed it
I remember seeing this episode and I just remember being so angry at him, she told him she wanted it to be serious and he made her into a joke, don't know how she didn’t leave him at the alter
she must’ve told him like 8 times, it was so infuriating
Apparently if the bride doesn't go through with the wedding she has to pay back the money plus production costs. They are forced through financial pressure.
I’m only about halfway through but I’m so hoping she’ll end up like the brewery bride and just never actually file the paperwork. I’m so furious for her.
@@4niasomnia573 apparently not only did she stay married they have 2 kids.
@@rosiejl2798 If they’re truly happy, I guess it’s okay, but I still feel mad about all of the disrespect…

Man: well I call her my little piggy so I guess she LOVES pigs
2:36 Omg, the Welsh twins in a Luxeria video??? My worlds are colliding 🖤
I love their channels 😂
Me too @@Luxeria
@Luxeria - would love to see a makeup tutorial of yours - preferably your eye makeup!
Was just about to post this!! The 2 of them separate are great, but together it's complete unhinged sibling silliness & I LOVE it!!
@@Luxeria Their combined channel is always exactly what I need when I'm down. I love the entire 3 sibling vibe!!
i feel like this show goes beyond just "men being incompetent" and rather shows how inconsiderate these men are. like it's just their world and their partners are just living in it. watching how defeated some of these women look is truly heartbreaking
ik this is a bit trauma dump-esque but I’m in ED recovery and watching Luxeria lose her mind over various things is my favourite thing to watch whilst eating to distract myself ❤❤
Wishing you a healthy recovery process!
Best wishes and encouragement in recovery. You got this.
And, Lux is a comfort person and her content is a safe thing for me to have on too. I totally get you.
🎉
All the best for your recovery lovely. You're worth all the good things in life, and you deserve good things. keep taking care of you ❤
It's so worth it I promise! You got this girly
You’re NOT being harsh Luxeria, you’re being wise and realistic!
Men that are absolutely CLUELESS about their partner really make me mad. It is not difficult ffs.
They don't care enough. They take these women for granted and for some reason I'll never understand, the women put up with them.
I think Luxeria is curing my depression ngl. So glad I found this channel and now I'm calling everything a wig girls
😂😂😂😂 thankyou girlywig!
Ahhh! Thank youuu for existing.
Not the cigarette pizza

@@Luxeria I’m 30 but I have to say I wanna be you when I grow up lol 😅
☠️☠️😅
WHY WOULD YOU MARRY THIS GUY?
Ugh.
Luxeria, you look lovely and happy :)
Why arent the groomsmen in pig onesies then, too, if it's about the theme??
Oh wait because it's actually about humiliating the women....
1:00:24 it is only just now occurring to me that groomsmen are wearing normal outfits while the bridesmaids are wearing pig costumes this is just so disgusting every decision was basically an f you to the poor bride
I say a daytime tweed at work all the time and I’m still the only one who gets my joke
"And is that? a *genderfluid* look?"
I feel you. Occasionally I'll blurt out "Delisa girls!" Or "she's a woman on the wig" and well, at least i find me funny 🤷♀️😅❤️
Why is it always a younger woman who has to step up and be the mature adult while the much older man is like, "oh yeah! love a good laugh!"
It's giving
"But you said you wanted a pig wedding!"
"I SAID I WANTED A BIG WEDDING!"
We went from don't tell the wig to don't tell the wig your fetishism for pigs! 🐷🐖
Haha I wrote this and a minute later you clocked him!😂
Not the Welsh twins 😂😂😂 I'm dying cause all the queer British people I follow on UA-cam literally know/reference eachother all the time and I had no idea lol
Every episode of DTTB:
Her: I want a romantic wedding about our relationship
Him: PIG WORLD RECORD
what is it with these men knowing absolutely nothing about their long-term partners!! i used to work at a flower shop and, let me tell you, the amount of male customers who came in to buy flowers for their wives/girlfriends and didn't even know their favourite colour... like, my guy, tf you mean you've been married for five years and the best you can give me is "lol, idk what she likes, just give me five red roses". IN THE BIN.
I wouldn't even marry that guy once I saw my bridesmaids in those outfits knowing my wedding is gonna be one big joke.
I'd have told them not to wear them. And the fact his mates had suits on...he really didn't think much of her friends.
Every episode is like “look at the lovely experience you could be having if you were marrying someone that actually loved you”
That bride--she sounds very like the voice that says, "Why don't you try on that lovely wig?" The voices are so similar!
omg she does 💀
HAH I hear it. I can't stop quoting that line.
That's Britney Murphy's voice ❤ may she RIP
@@grantmegan91 What is that clip from? ( try on lovely wig)
It is alarming how low the bar is set for these guys ☹️
These shows with Lux are a lovely reminder as to why I'd always prefer to be single than to be with a person like this. 💅
Imagine cutting into your wedding cake and finding a wig 🤔
that would be quite hateful 😂
good prank 😂
Never bake while wearing an unsteady wig. Lesson learned.
Fairly certain I'd projectile vomit over everything.
Imagine cutting your wig and finding cake! ...mmm cake.
THE CHAOS CONTINUES IN THE NEW STUDIO! I just love the new setting. It’s so calming. Why don’t you try on that lovely festive -wig- pig?
thankyou lovely!! still going to experiment with colours but so far I am loving it!
My cousin who owned a pig farm once hosted our family reunion. They had the barns and stys cleaned 2 weeks before the event but rather than improving the smell it made it worse. This was 30 years ago and i can still recall that odor to this day. It would make your eyes water 💦😷 🤢
"not a memorial at the pig wedding" brand new sentence right there
Fellas: is it gay to know your girlfriend’s preferences?
Life imitates art
There is a "where are they now" video on youtube, and apparently they were still together 2 years ago, and she looks just as unhappy in the video as she looks here... They have 2 kids now, which is crazy to me, I would have not gone through with the wedding at all
That's sad. She is now stuck with him
Why didn't she just devoice him? I make you a very he degrades and mocks get in front of the kids
Wait...wut. oh fuck
I think that there may be a combination of factors going on here: women in that area are accustomed to men in that area not acting like they should, so the overall standards for men are lower; and women in lower socioeconomic conditions often have children before marriage, and thus are willing to “overlook” things they shouldn’t in order to legitimize their relationship in more conservative areas.
once they've been gaslighted enough, yeah, it IS hard to see the truth beneath the lies you've been fed.
I think the pressure to get married is also a big deal or was then.
You’ll never get away from the daytime PREGNANT with an evening PREGNANT, Luxeria!
Asking the universe to bring us back to the film buff type grooms, who may have not known what their bride envisioned for a wedding, but they knew their bride and made the day actually special and a celebration for her.
Or the Jane Austen guy
I feel like if he got into a relationship with someone into pig play, his dreams would've come true 😂
Can I just say, you and Novympia are the absolute best with cut aways, the timing is always perfect
You must be the most glamorous woman on YT- the makeup, the hair, the style- just flawless! So glad you're back to regular vids Lux, and I hope you are ridiculously happy in your new place! 🖤🖤
Have any of the couples in this show ever been in the same hemisphere as each other let alone having a conversation.
The Bride has just showed him he can continue to treat her like shit. Sad
WHAT is this? Quickest divorce ever for me!
They have an adorable little dog. Why not sew up a little piggy costume for the pup and there ya go. There's your pig detail.
The fact she's had to tell him not to treat their wedding as a joke tell me everything I need to know about him, no sympathy for her, she's puts up with it and anyone going on this show, knows what it's about
29:31 it's sooo funny to me she forgot to bleep the name and we learn what it is :D love you Lux!♥
So.......
Daytime Pig onesie, with an evening purple nylon 🤦♀️…
They are still together!!! I can't and he's gaslighted her into feeling guilty for not smiling down the aisle.
Are you kidding me... I came to the comments in the hopes of finding out they divorced shortly after. Yuck.
AT ALL.
You always do, but today I must say it, just for the record: you look stunning, Luxeria! ❤
thankyou lovely 🖤🖤
This show makes me feel very happy about being a lesbian💅🏽😂
🌈 ✨ hopefully an incompetent free zone 😂
Same! 😂
jealous.. although i have Leanings...
I’m sorry, but the bridesmaid onesies is like a humiliation ritual and I do not feel comfortable with that. Absolutely outrageous.
The show is gaslighting the brides because the venues they take the brides to are always outside the given budget anyway
The aroma of a pig farm alone... no. Just no.
The fact that the bridesmaids were the only ones dressed as pigs and not the groomsmen says a lot.
Crazy cat lady is looking better & better everyday
It's already the best
idk if I'm looking too deeply into it but the whole "she's my lil pig" thing almost feels like a subtle abuse - She says herself she doesn't even really like pigs and the pet name just stuck.
Remember that episode of King of the Hill where Luanne almost marries that crazy pig farmer, because yeah, no...
Little Biscuit pig in his Biscuit wig😂😂😂😂
daytime pork with an evening bacon
oh 💀💀💀💀
You could do a cute quirky pig themed wedding, host wedding in a nice barn venue with twinkly lights, reception outside, cute white wedding dress and pink satin bow as an accent, have pictures done with cute lil piglets (obvs have an animal handler so nothing gets outta hand) obvs dont make decorations pig themed n stuff just keep it subtle.
if you want fun Bachelorette party you can go harder on the theme 🥳 higher a drag queen dressed as miss piggy 🐷 and give the girls lil headbands with ears. And everyone wears pink 😊
