In Takamura's defense, this OVA was set during the time he was intentionally starving himself to fight SIX weight classes below his natural heavy weight frame. So he was at a huge physical handicap while this is basically as strong as Ippo was physically at least until after Rising (if we ever get the next season anyway...)
