AJ's in the TRAIL TECH shop performing the first modifications to our 2014 Yamaha Grizzly 700.
He begins by lightening up by pulling off the racks and adding a GYTR front bumper, then adds A-arm guards and skid plates, then updates the suspension with high-end piggyback Stage 5 Elka shocks at all four corners featuring 2-stage threaded preload springs, high and low speed compression damping with the nicest clicker knobs we've seen.
Then, he's ditching the stock meats and throws on ITP Terracross tires wrapped around SD series bead-lock rims and adds an MBRP aftermarket exhaust.
Furthermore he adds a Roxx Speed FX riser and Fly tapered fat bars, GYTR foot pegs and Roxx Speed FX hand guards. - Авто та транспорт
this. this is just genius. in my eyes this is the perfect hybrid of sport and uility
nah the can am renegade is
@@_Chri5_ the can ams and Polaris’s are trash and aren’t guaranteed to last after the first year
@@urinesoakedtroglodyte5764 i have had mine since 2017 an ive put it through hell and back and it runs fine and havnt broken nothing
2:25 "And I do not want to put them back on, instead, I drove this thing without the wheels for maximum weight reduction.
4 years later and still funny
2019 and still checking out this machine! Would love to own it ! Looking at the 2019's to WR out!
I really think you guys nailed it with this build. I can't wait to see how it turns out! It's nice to see that you're still willing to spend some time on the Grizzly. I'd love to hear how it compares to the Renegade and Scrambler when it's finished.
if Yamaha was smart they would build a 1000cc v twin and absolutely crush the competition just with their 4x4 system alone i still dont understand why they haven't done it.
Polaris 4x4 is better than Yamaha's though..
+sladester2 lmao can only imagine.
sladester2 no your crazy
Thibault even if they made and 850 or 900, they'd clean house. I'm gonna wait until they do so. It took em a few years to design the YFZ1000 so maybe a VTwin grizzly is in the works
sladester2 lol, not even close. I've driven and hauled loads with a Grizzly 450 and a Polaris 570. Guess which one I own? The Polaris is cheesy and the 4wd would only kick in after you needed it. A selectable switch as simple as Yamaha cannot be beat. And Yamahas CVT completely shits on Polaris. I've towed twice the load with my Grizzly as I could with the Polaris and the Polaris has a larger engine and frame
Thats the most badass looking grizzly ive ever seen.. It looks like an older revamped quad.. Kinda like a modern banshee
Looks great! Never thought a Grizzly could look so sporty. looking forward to the next vid.
Thats one of the coolest Grizzlies I've seen. Love the bead locks
Good Stuff. Rode dirt bike 98% time when I am trail riding. With the explosion in the SXS/UTV market, I would still prefer to have a utility fourwheeler like this one. It a great build and just adds to my personal likein'!! Going to watch the Part 2 video to see the results!
It looks like a beast already. I think I might start stripping down my 09 Kodiak!! :)
Really like this build! Looks superior and i bet with that 4x4 and locking diff and fuel map that thing will shred mountains
Maybe Yamaha will bring back the wolverine name with a model similar to this , a grizzly 1000 and a wolverine 1000 would probably be a big hit.
very Nice Idea!!!!
At least a 700 Wolverine, they already have the chassis, just modify it a bit to fit the 700 engine. Keep the rest of it the same, no low range or diff lock and no irs to keep the weight down. It would probably be a bit fatter around the mid-section with that bigger engine but would could still look basically the same.
Yep.yep!!!
I love how this wheeler looks. Id love to do something similar with my sportsman
I like the idea with the independent suspension rides much better than the straight axle.u young guns will understand this we hen ur 40.I had a 450 wolverine and it rode way to ruff but loved the looks
definitely thinking about doing a build very similar to this when i get my new grizzly!
Great looking build to a trusty do all machine . I laughed when I saw that you drilled the rivets out for higher foot pegs , because I am drilling my XTR pegs out to remove them for flat floor. I ride with my heel back against the fender and I stand up 90 percent of the time , so the pegs tip my toes up . Great video , commentary and excellent show .
Thank you!!
@@dirttraxtv do you know which bumpers will fit my 2002 yamaha grizzly 660?
Love the videos man , keep up the good work.
Nice build buddy keep it up .👍👍😎😎
Excelente trabajo, sigan asi!! saludos desde Costa Rica
Exited to see how it goes on the track pretty amazing
All of the four wheelers that you showed is all grate most favorite is
1Yhamha
2Cam-am
3 can't remember the other one
I like the grizzly look that u did I have 1999 grizzly 600 with large tire and a 2 inch lift. Like the way works in the mud.
It looks kinda like a banshee. Love it!
This is awesome wish I had this and a good trail to ride it on sadly not but I like seeing it get customized and find out what it can do
I'm interested to see how it compares in price also.
Awesome video! Any 2016-2019 Honda 500 Rubicon transformation in the near future? Me and many other Honda atv owners as well as enthusiasts would love to see how DTT modifies one of them. Cheers
I love your videos dude and i love off-road
That looks amazing
I wonder how hard it was to get the bumper to fit
I think this turned out sweet not just the look the functionality of the grizzly would be great to see something like this come out soon possibly add a winch ? For a little mud maybe
did the front bumper easily bolt on or was there any problems ? not including the plastics touching it..
hey did you need to put on longer cables on after the bar riser
Looks like a nice rig but I much prefer 2wd because they are almost always lighter and more nimble and if you roll it will be less damaging most likely. I also would not run hand protecters because they could break your hands also why I use break away levers.
Well explain build !like your Princess Auto sign back there
wow..that has to be one of the coolest looking atvs ever
Thanks Pe Peroni
Love how it looks went from mean lookin to innocent bug looking 😍
Why not a swamp series xl exhaust and could you tell me the next video of this build might be.
Where did you get the floor jack or is that a custom plate on a stock floor jack?
The purpose of the build was to make a machine that can do more than work. The 700 makes decent power. The upgraded shocks makes it handle better. Cutting the plastics to give more of an agressive look like a scrambler or original worlverine. Now keeping the rear rack may have been a decent idea. Now not saying that machine id going to spin a tire out of the rim, but might keep it on the rim if contacting a stump or large rock.
Would these modifications work on a grizzly 350
How about some part numbers and places to buy? I'm batting zero on the MBRP exhaust (except ebay) and the Juice box. I have a 2012 700 grizz w EPS.
Thanks
Did the Yzf bumper just bolt on?
What happens IF YOU do bore it out...?
This thing is sick!!
did the new shocks add any more suspension travel?
you have made my dream quad
I wonder would this work with an 04 660
What wheel offset did u use a 4+3 or 5+2
how'd you get that bumper to fit?
Hi how did you make the bumper fit the grizzly ?
surprised those cables still work with the extra rise of the bar mounts
Hello friend, can you give me the name of the accessories that you put on the bike? Thank you
I love your videos and where are you guys located in Ontario
quite interesting ,you should have went with taller tires , you are going to be way off on ground clearance , wider a-arms should have been used , with forward and rearward sweeps and dont forget to tell us when done the cost of this mod vs the scrambler /renegade ... good video and I hope this signals Yamaha getting back into the sport sector of ATV/SXS models
can't wait to see'r all done
What is Yeahmaha? They make an atv that looks and has the same name as a Yamaha Grizzly.
lol
+Swift PvP dumbo its the same
rowley mohab woosh
Swift PvP hdh 91st hdu
I agree like come on you would think he would know how yo pronounce yamaha correctly with where he works
Well i have a grizz 550 and i just love what u did thanks for sharing i m going to do the same to mine
Did you? I only want the bumper on my 660 and the front rack removed.
really good video
Told you I love this one! I ain't forgot .... still a la-git machine today!
Legit?
can you make a parts list plz
Great job but is that a modified exhaust pipe
what about the sportsman 1000?
Looking fwd to seeing how she works, not really what I'd do with my Grizzly, I don't want to hurt the reliability.

That atv is beast
It looks like a banshee.
so true..first time i saw the thumbnail of the video i thought it was a banshee
Ur high it looks nothing like a banshee
@@spartangamer5850 lmao ikr
Who is the shop for this front bomber
Can you guys do something with a 2004 Yamaha Kodiak 400?
do u do more of these projects if not do u know any who does
Nice, like that you keep the 25 inch tyre diameter. Larger is not allways better.
What kind of handlebars?
It look likes a off-road version of a banshee
are banshee's supposed to be on road or...
Eric Roach wtf are u asking?
He said it looked like an off road banshee, arent banshees off road vehicles? so i am asking if they "are supposed to be on road" because the inference i make from his statement is, that a banshee is not used off-road due to the "off-road VERSION" part of what he said
Eric Roach oh yeah I get it now
Banshee is for Offroad but it looks like atv version of banshee
hi , the bumper gytr , is for an 450 yfz ? i only find the same for yzf , not for grizzly 700 , i would like to buy it , thx for your answer ;)
We had to do some mods to get that bumper to fit.
Yo how tall are these rissers? 2'' ?
but how much does a project like that cost?
I think its sweet! Only thing i would do is reinforce the front fenders before it slings the headlights out lol!
nice video :) only thing i noticed is at 0:52 your turning but the bolt isn't lol
Those tires and rums are much heavier than stock, they didnt rob any performance?
looks very cool
Just purchased a 14 with no hours! Cleaner than you can believe. WR here I come. Any help would be appreciated
It looks awsome
Yes plz , give it to me ! It looks great !
+Dirt Trax Television First of all I want to say well done, after watching this build I have really been wanting to find myself a Grizzly 700 EFI, and do something similar, the only thing that I wish you would have touched on more is power aspect compared between the 3. How does this build feel compared to the scrambler and the Renegade's power with the new exhaust and fuel programmer?
+Lincoln Kestner It feels very potent, but up against a 1000 twin it obviously has limitations. That said, still a great riding machine and one of our favourite mods to date.
I’m still waiting for them to do this again with a 2020 or 2021 grizzly
How much would it take for me to do that
Can you guys give an estimate of what this costs?
Quarantine got me like
looks killer
What cc
Damn that looks badass
Twins for the win
Hey y'all should do video on a bennche
Looks neath nice job
Have you guys have modified a 2018 Honda Foreman Rubicon 500cc 4x4
We haven't. A Honda project would be pretty cool.
Can you do a 99ish Honda Foreman next
Cost of all parts?
Does ROX make Powermadd because i bought my Powermadd's a year ago and nowhere do they say ROX on them
No, Rox does not make the plastic guard. Rox manufactures all the different billet mounts and has an agreement with powermadd.
Awesome Yamaha
Nice job
Thanks!
Amazing. You made it look easy!
harder than it looks
Steven Prestopine what do you know
Steven Prestopine exactly
Steven Prestopine i am 14 btw fuck off my life
14 year olds are such bad asses nowadays
What year brush guard/bumper did you use for the yfz 450
It was probably a '13 or '14
@@dirttraxtv thank you
