@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC you’d think for 25 dollars American that the heavy duty servo saver wouldn’t break. The new one definitely won’t . I’m looking forward to beating on it a little bit again. Thanks for watching buddy
@IowaBudgetRCBashers Agreed mate!! I've had no end of servo saver issues this year in the momster beetle, Porsche 959 and the Avante..... resulting in my servos not self centering. Someone recommended the Tamiya high torque servo saver kit for the Monster beetle..... £11 and it snapped first run! Like I say, I'm totally fed up with servo savers, would rather just go direct.... even if it kills a few servos in the process! 😂 Most Tamiyas have a lot of steering slop at the best of times, made ten times worse with the crappy kit servo savers! Looking for a universal solution..... That one that you have now used looks superb buddy! 😊 👍 👍
@@Rek_Rc I’m hoping it doesn’t cause extra stress but servos are cheap enough I suppose. These ZOSKAY servos are all metal geared so it’ll probably be ok
@@HaydadRC it went well. I have a love hate relationship with this truck. It’s big and powerful but also fragile and hard to get parts for. It’s days of 3&4 s are over now
@@JoevsRc ya you wouldn’t think for the price you pay that they’d strip so easily. Sucks they don’t sell extra 25t inserts for them. Looking forward to bashing this beast again although it’s 4s days are over lol
Try using the soldering iron to put a little heat onto the screw in the old old servo and then try and take the screw out. Some localized heat should break the bond. Just don't go nuts and cook it LOL! It was a chilly one here this weekend, probably not as cold as you guys but still chilly!
@@AddamsPlayground I tried that, and I tried a mini torch lighter thing, but I ended up stripping the hex head . I’m hoping to save the servo. Dremel is gonna come out and cut a slot in the screw. Ya it’s like 19 degrees here. Hoping it doesn’t ice, I work 28 miles away and it’s a long drive in the country to get there.
O boy... you should try the kimbro servo saver they make the same size one it's plastic but I hear it's stronger than the HR one people say fail. Hope it works for ya but I think that servo is going to take a pounding... Get it out in the snow that should be fun!
@@ShenRC ya that’s why I initially put that servo saver on it. The part is thick and so not worried about it breaking but I’m a bit concerned about the Servo, but that being said it’s much tighter and better than the Kyosho setup with all the bell cranks and rods
I know it's fixed now 🙂 but looking at that servo saver set up looks like a Tamyia style thing . I'm just thinking 🤔 why not try a piece of uPVC pipe or even print one out for it 😉 just an idea don't know if it would actually work 🙂
@@Fonzierc the new bell crank won’t break, it’s all aluminum. Now it’ll break rod ends and servos lol.. I’m still gonna try to save the servo because it worked fine.
@@JRscoolhobby it was down a week or so ago, but I just saw they make a gear and chain cover for this and so I may buy one of those too. They make some great stuff for sure
Nice fix. Looking forward for the run. Would take the snow immediately for shooting video, it's really rare here.😂
@@RCBirds if it warms a bit I’ll get her out there. It’s zero degrees Fahrenheit with the windchill right now. Not fit for man nor beast 😂
Bloody servo savers.... they are my nemesis!!
