I would choose #1. #3 is gorgeous and it has an inside and outdoor setting so guests can be where they're comfortable. However, it looks like a large venue which may make everyone be spread out over the property, so it may feel like a house party and not a wedding that celebrates the love and intimacy of the bride and groom. It depends if you want it more intimate or not. #1 has an amazing view and the lights over the reception would be perfect for dancing and fun. Having to travel from the hotel to the venue shouldn't be a deal breaker. It allows you and your party to get ready away from the craziness of decorating the venue. That way you can focus on yourselves and enjoy the amenities of the hotel.
Yes, I agree. Exactly what I thought. I think you will have more fun at #1 because everybody will be at the same place. In #3 everybody will be very spread out, and although it is beautiful, it is more important to have fun and you don't need to have the hotel room right at the venue... then that almost becomes the honeymoon too. I think the best idea is what you said to have the reception at #1 and then the party at night at #2.. or you said something like that and it might be a good idea. maybe it is less windy there (#2).
Definitely #1 or #3. If #3 ends up being insanely expensive, the difference in cost can just go towards the extra things you would need at venue #1, like a hotel stay and limo to the venue. But whatever you guys choose is going to be magical either way!
Number 3 seems so convenient and it has so many different areas. Absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to see, which one you choose 🥰Hope you're doing a similar video for your wedding in Germany as there is just something amazing about about castles in central europe or it may be just my bias coming from central europe lol
I’m torn between 1 and 3, but I like that 3 allows you to stay in the same place for the whole day. The views are beautiful for both. Number 3 I think sold me with the reception area, I can picture the photos it just is really beautiful.
Oooo I think the view of #1 was the best, but I think #3 would be beautiful and most convenient. You can get ready at the venue, it's private and gorgeous 😍
That's how I feel too! #3 is great because it has the convenience of #2, but with more privacy and a better view. That said, I remember when YB posted a photo of #1 on Instagram and my first thought was that it would be a gorgeous place for a wedding. I can't wait to see which one they go with!
#1 - I can totally picture you and Herbert tying the knot here! This venue is giving me California rustic vibes plus the ocean view is insanely gorgeous 🌿 Regardless of what you two decide upon, thanks for bringing us along your wedding journey. Cannot wait to see what you have in store for the second wedding in Germany (hopefully in a castle!) 👸🏻🏰
The first location was stunning and had a beautiful feeling. Malibu is lovely too and the mansion has it's pros for sure. So far I personally think the first one is just really very nice and had the best vibe. Perhaps they could provide canopy if the weather looks like rain. But since we're in a drought...rain is pretty doubtful. Thanks for sharing this with all of us. Blessings to you both. So exciting!
I would go with number 1. The view was amazing but mostly since you grew up there it will mean something more than just a random venue. For me #2 would be out mostly because of price since you are going to have a wedding in Germany too. Nothing wrong with #3, I just think #1 would mean more to you in the long run and you always get a limo or rent a really amazing car to be driven to the venue in style 😎. All of them were stunning.
The first location was absolutely stunning !!! The third location can also a very cool concept and the view was also beautiful. Overall, I prefer Catalina View Gardens!! So happy for you and Herbert 💕💕
First off you two are adorable, and all 3 venues look gorgeous 🥰 I think it depends on how much more #3 is vs #1 when you factor in limo and hotel costs, since #3 is more all inclusive
The first one was breathtaking and seems to be the most affordable, especially since there will be another wedding in Germany. Also it’s in an area you’re familiar with.
Definitely #1. I feel like three seemed like a fun multiple couple vacation/split the cost of it place. The view wasn't as magical as #1. I can't wait to see how you guys put your wedding together. Also Coco is so big and cuddly. :)
Number 1 seems like the best option! Great place to celebrate plus I think the 5 minute drive between where everyone gets ready and the ceremony isn’t a big deal. My venue was the same and it was not an issue, we just rented a driving service and shuttle buses for all guests and wedding party
definitely no 1!! it has wedding vibes. venue 2 is expensive just to be nearer to the ocean which isn't worth it when no 1 is amazing enough. no 3 seems more like party vibes than a wedding
I loved #1 but not having a place to get ready in is difficult. I had my wedding without a dressing room and one thing I never thought of is how perfectly timed your arrival has to be. Because otherwise you're just sort of standing around waiting while you're all dressed up hahaha. I think #3 seems like the perfect balance!!! Congratulations!!!
I love PV!! I grew up in Carson and moved to RPV in HS and Rolling Hills shortly thereafter. The drive around the hill is something i use to do weekly before my fiance and I moved to OC. THE first venue is where we want have our wedding.
No matter what location you go with, you’re not gonna make a bad decision for the views! They’re all gorgeous, but the first one really stuck with me. So much fun!!
I'm very excited for you both!! I'd vote for No.1 (Catalina View Gardens). Amazing views, great location. The idea of having a wedding very close to a vineyard sounds nice and romantic. No.3 sounds really convenient and having a wedding in a mansion sounds cool but I'm concerned about the costs.
#1 for sure! Those views 😍 #3 would probably be more convenient, but maybe also more stressful as you are basically at sight when all the preparations are done. And you don't want to settle for convenience on your wedding day :) Plus you have an actual connection with PV.
1 looked like the middle of a crop field to mee very rural vibes idk about that one, but 3 OMG, it was perfection. Reminds me of Gatsbys mansion in The Great Gatsby movie. How very exciting thoough thank you for sharing this with us!
Wow, they are all beautiful but the 3rd venue was my favorite 🤩 However, whatever you guys pick will be great!!! 💕 I can’t wait for the wedding dresses...
It looks like #3 is already the top choice pending the quote (should also try to get a discount through doing videos of the experience). If YB wants to change or freshen up between the ceremony and the reception or midway through the reception, for example, then she would have their room right there. It's sweet seeing you two imagine the day.
YB's excitement level: Location 1 > Location 3 > Location 2 Herbert's excitement level: Location 1 = Location 3 > Location 2. The heart wants Location 1 because it is a dream come true. The practical mind screams Location 3 as it is the most comfortable and practical. But the price will be the deciding factor. Good luck YB and Herbert! Whatever you choose, I am sure it will be a magical day!
The third one in Malibu! There's so many spaces, but also opportunities to make the experience your own. & that price point would include the housing costs compared to #1.
Location number 1 or 3 was nice scenery for a wedding ceremony. The 3rd location has a bit of more one place to stay rather than going to another place for a wedding reception. The direction is up to you YB and your fiancé on what you guys want for your wedding. Decide on what you guys feel the most special on your wedding day. Hope you two find that one location for your guys' special day.
Venue-wise I def think the first one is the best. That view is unbeatable. Maybe you can rent out a mobile bridal suite trailer or something like that if you don't want to use the Terreanea hotel for prep? But none of these options are bad, I hope whatever venue you and Herbert choose will turn out perfect! 😍
My fave was #3… just seemed the most convenient and had everything you are looking for! #1 was a second close but I agree, it’s not that great that you can’t get ready there. #2 was cute but so pricey and the lack of privacy would most likely be an issue. Can’t wait to see what you both choose!
I liked #1 the most but the convenience of #3 is really nice. It all comes down to how many ppl are gonna be at your wedding as well. Since YB didn't like the all outdoor for venue #1, could look into renting a giant tent/canopy as an option so that you don't have to worry about rain or other things.
Honestly, you could not go wrong with any of them. Focus on what you want your wedding pictures to look like and what your budget is. Good luck and congratulations!
For my two cents worth, I love that you have memories that tie you to number 1, and yet I was personally drawn to number 3. Not knowing the cost would be a problem for me, though. Because I blather, I'll add that I'm near the OTHER other coast, and Atlantic ocean views need to be views rather than up close and personal. Wind off the ocean and the spray can mess up casual get togethers, and weddings are anything but casual. I have no idea how the Pacific coast is...not my wheelhouse...but if you're not sure, ask folks who maybe work or live really up close and personal with the shoreline to gauge how close the ceremony should be. Again, I blather...just putting that consideration out there. Wherever it is, it will be beautiful because you and Herbert will be there beginning your forever!
I think 1 and 3 are best! I agree that 2 isn’t private enough for a wedding, plus the cost. I worry about outdoor weddings and weather-does spot 3 have indoor space? The Malibu spot feels too sprawling , guests might be spread out all over the property and not focused on the reception.
I love the idea of doing Terranea for the reception! If I had to pick though Malibu is perfect since you can have more of an intimate wedding with your guests.
Number three seems the most convenient. You wouldn't have to prepare elsewhere and incur additional transport expense (the limo), plus the third location has what the first two don't, which is privacy. It'd be pretty easy for someone to wedding-crash your wedding in the first two locations, if you care about that. Certainly the third location's view was not quite as majestic as the first two, but it's also quieter, so you and Herbert (and the officiant) wouldn't have to shout over wind and waves to say anything.
For sure Number 3 because that way you don't have to worry renting a limo or any transportation to go to a different location. I hope the price wasn't that high 🙏🤞
place number 1 I think is my fav. 3rd location is okay, but you have so much to do on your own. and it's such a huge place so that will be much work. and place number 1 is as beautiful as place number 3
I just downloaded the new Sims 4 wedding pack and I watched Kelsey's review of the game and I watched the Try Guys bridesmaid dresses video, so I'm getting totally hyped for YB's wedding!
I personally like venue number 3 because there is a huge mansion with a lot of different outside areas, giving opportunity for many places to relax before and during the wedding. However, as you mentioned, if it's as expensive as venue number 2, it might be out of your price range, especially considering you are also having a wedding in Germany. You need to make sure you can afford both! I think venue number 1 might be your best bet because you loved the view and the connection of the location. It looks like it will be pretty with the lights at night :) I agree with your concern about not having a building to get ready in or having somewhere people can go if the weather isn't good. How about renting tents and setting them up? I've seen that done even in locations where they aren't worried about rain, it just sets a different area for the reception. This might be the solution you're looking for. And as you said, you could get ready at a different hotel nearby and then take a limo to the ceremony :) Thanks for sharing, looks like it was fun to visit the areas!
I liked #1 the best because it's more private than the second venue but you still have a great ocean view. The third option was nice but if you're going to get married in Germany in a castle I feel like the third option is too similar to that. I think having two different types of venues for your weddings would be nice. But either way I'm so happy and excited for you two and cannot wait to be apart of the journey
I would choose something like the first one but with a place where you can change and prepared. The second one is beautiful but the lack of privacy is definitely a no. The third one I can see it only for a small/intimate wedding.
Number 3! it just looks more convenient and an all-in-one kinda location. And the morning after the wedding u can film a game of tennis together as newly weds! Haha ^_^
I'm on team Catalina view. 2nd location is too expensive and crowded which will turn your wedding into a public festival with onlookers and 3rd location while beautiful is giving me the vibe of a rich Hollywood star house party than the closeness of a wedding event. Catalina view has nice views and also fills the category of your interest in having your wedding in palos verdes.
These locations are amazing! If you don’t mind, could you please do a rough estimate wedding budget? That will be so good to know since my partner and I are saving up for our wedding as well 🥰
As long as the Malibu location isn't the same price as Terranea or above it personally that one gets my vote. The Malibu location seemed like it had everything you were looking for in terms of the ocean view, a nearby place to get ready so you don't have to travel just to get to the wedding venue. You'll have lots of different choices for photography locations with just you and Herbert and with the whole wedding party and it seemed like that would be able to have indoor accommodations in case god forbid it does rain that day.
I liked #1 and #3. #3 was more for the ease of staying there but I liked the vibe of #1. Tbh I liked #2 only because of the view and that you can stay there. But the price outweigh the convenience and definitely not worth it. Another question to answer is which one (between #1 and 3) can hold the amount of cars you will have for your guests?
The vineyard view garden are lovely but the Malibu mansion would keep everything on site and offers great photo opps. The overall venue will be pale compared to you both standing together before your family and friends.
GIRLLLL SEVEN IS A LUCKY NUMBER GO WITH THE MALIBU LOCATION CUZ IT HAS SEVEN BEDS AND BATHROOMS!! 😆 and like, you can say that you had a wedding at Malibu AND Germany!!
Everyone I know (including myself) all got ready at home and then drove to the church or venue where we were going to get married. So having to get ready and then go there was never a problem because we didn't have the option to get ready on site. I'm not sure if that is a thing in California? I suppose if you are getting married in an area that is very far from where you live that would need to be important but where I live most will plan a venue close to home and then can get ready in the comfort of their home as well. The first location was so pretty. I'm sure the pictures would be wonderful because the area looked so nice. The Miami venue seemed to have decent options, but not as close to the ocean. There must be many other locations that have an ocean view that you might be able to look into out there? Weddings are so expensive now. Depending on how many people you plan on having at your wedding you could look into a destination wedding too. My sister got married in St. Lucia and she got beautiful pictures. The only downside is not everyone can go because they have to pay for a trip but it's a vacation that just includes a nice wedding for one day and the rest of the time is a vacation in a beautiful location. Then you can do your honeymoon at the same time. I would think that getting married in a castle in Germany will be pretty expensive too. Maybe a wedding/honeymoon would be a good option for the first ceremony?
My parents and my brother will, and maaaybe my cousins? haha it was because most of my closer family are in America already, and I didn't want to do 3 weddings 🥲 while most of Herbert's friends and family are in Germany.
#1 is by far my favorite! breathtaking view! 🤍
YB, you looked beautiful & Im so shocked at how big Coco has gotten 🤯
He is right!!!
No matter what location you go with, you’re not gonna make a bad decision for the views! They’re all gorgeous, but the first one really stuck with me. So much fun!!
Thank you! 🥰
Definitely #3! You get the best of both privacy and view 😊
Congrats! Can’t wait for the actual wedding video! It’s going to be epic!
Thank you!! 🤍
Thank you! 🥰🥰
3 for sure!
One of my favorite parts of these videos is when he says “and Herbert!” Ahahaha!!
Haha it feels empty without!
Also. THAT CAT IS SO FLUFFY!!!!!!! 😍
RIGHT 🤍
Number 1 has the best view and I think it will match you both. Number 3 is beautiful but seems like a huge frat party vibes
#1 for sure! Those views 😍 #3 would probably be more convenient, but maybe also more stressful as you are basically at sight when all the preparations are done.
And you don't want to settle for convenience on your wedding day :)
Plus you have an actual connection with PV.
True!! 🥰
Location 1 seems perfect, the view and the outdoor area seems just perfect
1 looked like the middle of a crop field to mee very rural vibes idk about that one, but 3 OMG, it was perfection. Reminds me of Gatsbys mansion in The Great Gatsby movie. How very exciting thoough thank you for sharing this with us!
Haha I thought of that too!!
Number 1!!! It would be amazing to roll up in a beautiful old convertible! Or horse draw carriage? 😛
Wow, they are all beautiful but the 3rd venue was my favorite 🤩 However, whatever you guys pick will be great!!! 💕 I can’t wait for the wedding dresses...
Same hehe 🤍
It looks like #3 is already the top choice pending the quote (should also try to get a discount through doing videos of the experience). If YB wants to change or freshen up between the ceremony and the reception or midway through the reception, for example, then she would have their room right there. It's sweet seeing you two imagine the day.
It's so exciting! 🥰
YB's excitement level: Location 1 > Location 3 > Location 2
Herbert's excitement level: Location 1 = Location 3 > Location 2.
The heart wants Location 1 because it is a dream come true. The practical mind screams Location 3 as it is the most comfortable and practical. But the price will be the deciding factor. Good luck YB and Herbert! Whatever you choose, I am sure it will be a magical day!
Thank you 😍
number 1 seems to be perfect choice.
The third one in Malibu! There's so many spaces, but also opportunities to make the experience your own. & that price point would include the housing costs compared to #1.

Thank you! so exciting 🤍
Thank you 🥰 I think we'll probably use Terranea for prep!
My fave was #3… just seemed the most convenient and had everything you are looking for! #1 was a second close but I agree, it’s not that great that you can’t get ready there. #2 was cute but so pricey and the lack of privacy would most likely be an issue.
Can’t wait to see what you both choose!
So excited! 😍
#3 - but be firm with the time everyone should leave. Then you can party with just the close friends you want to stick around.
I liked #1 the most but the convenience of #3 is really nice. It all comes down to how many ppl are gonna be at your wedding as well. Since YB didn't like the all outdoor for venue #1, could look into renting a giant tent/canopy as an option so that you don't have to worry about rain or other things.
That's true!!
Honestly, you could not go wrong with any of them. Focus on what you want your wedding pictures to look like and what your budget is. Good luck and congratulations!
Thank you 🥰
I personally loved the first one!
Me too 😍
So excited for you guys!! ♥
Thank you! 🤍
Definitely the first one!
Love your opinion!! haha thank you 🤍🤍
Number 3 is my first choice, location 1 is my second. ❤️
True!!
So exiting!
And I would choose number 1 because it just seemed gorgeous, but you definitely couldn’t go wrong with number 3.
@@basicallybabysitting1700 both are amazing! 🥰
the mansion number 3 is so beautiful💗💗
i like number 1 more bc of the view
My fave is either the first one or the third. But if the third is super expensive then def the first one!!
I feel the same!
I love the idea of doing Terranea for the reception! If I had to pick though Malibu is perfect since you can have more of an intimate wedding with your guests.
😍😍
I really loved the last one but no matter what you chose, I know it'll be perfect for you!
🥰🥰
number 1 is the best imo, private and beautiful and i bet that it would look SOOOOO amazing at night with everything lit up
Yessss I can't wait to see it at night!
Number three seems the most convenient. You wouldn't have to prepare elsewhere and incur additional transport expense (the limo), plus the third location has what the first two don't, which is privacy. It'd be pretty easy for someone to wedding-crash your wedding in the first two locations, if you care about that. Certainly the third location's view was not quite as majestic as the first two, but it's also quieter, so you and Herbert (and the officiant) wouldn't have to shout over wind and waves to say anything.
hahah wedding crashers would be a fun story 😂
For sure Number 3 because that way you don't have to worry renting a limo or any transportation to go to a different location. I hope the price wasn't that high 🙏🤞
I looooove number one. Next I would do #3!
At least someone is doing well😄 happy for you guys❤
Thank you 🤍
I’d pick venue one then add a few things like a tented area.
place number 1 I think is my fav. 3rd location is okay, but you have so much to do on your own. and it's such a huge place so that will be much work. and place number 1 is as beautiful as place number 3
True true!
I like number 1. It seems more beautiful spot for a wedding.
Top pick #1! Next #3
I just downloaded the new Sims 4 wedding pack and I watched Kelsey's review of the game and I watched the Try Guys bridesmaid dresses video, so I'm getting totally hyped for YB's wedding!
Omg I should download it too! haha
Definitely #1!
#1 - low-key and more room to get creative!
I think we'll definitely get tents!! :)
Thank you!! Can't wait to share more 🥰
I love how Herbert briefly forgot what grapes were called lol
I would choose something like the first one but with a place where you can change and prepared. The second one is beautiful but the lack of privacy is definitely a no. The third one I can see it only for a small/intimate wedding.
Yes 😍
cant wait for your wedding ♥♥♥
🥰🥰
Number 3! it just looks more convenient and an all-in-one kinda location. And the morning after the wedding u can film a game of tennis together as newly weds! Haha ^_^
Haha that would be fun 😆
Love the third place ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Go with y'all's gut feeling. Me personally, I would go with option #3.
True words! 🥰
YB You should do your own makeup and hair for your wedding
I like the 2nd place y'all looked at 😁🎉
Location 1 is soo perfect for a wedding soo peaceful
🥰🥰
Number 3... 👏👏👏😊😊😊🇲🇾 If too expensive, then I think number 1 would be cool. 😎
🥰🥰
#1 looks amazing! I think #3 would be more better though.. idk but I'm excited for you taking us along for the ride 😊
I'm excited for you guys to come along! 😍
1 for sure!!!
These locations are amazing! If you don’t mind, could you please do a rough estimate wedding budget? That will be so good to know since my partner and I are saving up for our wedding as well 🥰
We're trying to keep it under $70k! LA is so expensive 🥲
It would be sooo unlucky if it rains! haha
I feel the same! And all of them should have enough parking spots :)
ultimately it will be your choice but as Herbert put it the first venue just hit differently and seems more your vibe
😍
Hi YB! Just want to ask where you got the top you were wearing in the first and second location? 😅
LOL TRUE!
Number 3. So beautiful.
Check out La Venta In in PV it has accommodations and has a wonderful Ocean side view
Yess I was looking into that too! So beautiful
Thinks maybe 3 is the best... But i do also like 1. And yeah, 2 probs last since it pricey and not private 😬
How did I just find out you grew up in PV, I grew up in Redondo Beach love it down there!!!
Omg SOUTH BAY!
Ahh okay good to know!!🤍
Love the 3rd venue
Bery beautiful places. Go with the gut, but I would personally go for number 3.
Will your Korean side of the family come to the LA wedding? How come there is no Korean wedding in Korea instead of LA? hehe
My parents and my brother will, and maaaybe my cousins? haha it was because most of my closer family are in America already, and I didn't want to do 3 weddings 🥲 while most of Herbert's friends and family are in Germany.
It’s a toss up between locations #1 and #3. Both are really beautiful
I agree! 😍
3 for sure
1 or 3
1 or 3. PV water views are better but 3 offered a beautiful spot too and convenience.
Yes both are amazing!!
Congratulations girl 👏👏👏👏
Thank you 🤍
YB When is your wedding?
