In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

It's a scenic country. But one that takes Insta 360s as a victim ;-) Pity you hadn't put something scratch resistant on top. I have the X2 and large goggles to protect it. Has worked for two seasons of a lot of adv riding with lots of branches hitting it. I even lost it on ACT Croatia, one branch nearly killed it. Protection? Absolutely worth it. Glenhu Bay campground in the off season with a million dollar view...beers and food from the supermarket and you don't have to pay a million bucks (++) to buy a place in one of the coolest places on the planet.

Those mounts for the insets 360 cameras don’t look very stable.

Wanaka, Queenstown, very beautiful regions but unfortunately priced out of reach of most New Zealanders now
$ 10 NZ for camping at Alberttown a few km outside Wanaka, buy some beers and food at the supermarket and Bob's your uncle...
The color of that last river was incredible!! And the deer farm--wow! I have seen packs of NZ venison at a grocery in my area in western Washington state, and the price was reasonable, given how far it traveled!
And all grass fed, pasture raised.
I was expecting a huge tree 😂

Not the Wanaka I remember. Worked about 3-4 months at THC Wanaka in 1973. As I recall the town had a population of less than 1000, very few small holiday homes. No ski fields. A couple of small shops. THC Wanaka was privatized many years ago. The local RNZ Constable always showed up when the beer trucks arrived and at closing time. Good memories but I don’t think I would recognize anything if I were to return.😅
The scenery is still exactly the same...Matukituki valley, Cardrona road 'racetrack', lake Hawea to Makarora 'racetrack', up to the skifields on dirt roads for a bit of fun riding, stay at Alberttown campground for $ 10...
