Happy to find your channel and have been binge watching your videos! My family is thrilled. Like to watch while I'm in the kitchen washing dinner's dishes.(yes, some crazy women still do that!) Appreciate your knowledge so much that if I want to write a pattern down I have to keep stopping and nothing in housework gets done. I am a florist by trade and love that you show appreciation toward that work. Have done it long enough to know that business is trying to survive. You have an interesting personality and show beautiful items at a nice pace. I'm also glad to see you have this platform for the things you love to do. (I'm trying to re-invent mine) Your interests show, and I expect that your channel will grow more successful than most. Know that I stumbled on yours among many others that are not at the same high quality content with elegance. I am a fan, and I hope that you keep going!
I really appreciate your kind comment. So nice to hear from you! Love that you watch while in the kitchen. Huge appreciation for florists. 🙌🏻 My parents had a flower shop in Aspen for just a few years. They delivered to the rich and famous. Lots of good stories there. 😉 Wish I had been there to learn from my Mom. Again, thanks for cheering me on. Hoping to grow my channel. It’s been such fun! 😘
Hi Lady Mary Beth! It’s April 5th, 2023 and we are all getting ready for Easter. I know you are as well. When my husband was stationed at Geilenkirchen, Germany, we had the opportunity to travel quite a lot. One of the many places visited was the Keukenhof Gardens, the Netherlands. It was beautiful; all the gardens were decorated and it was so fragrant. What a fabulous time we had that weekend. Happy Easter to you and your family. ✝️
Love the tulip history....and the pieces you highlight are beautiful! Enjoyed watching. Your channel is taking off and will be monetized very soon! So well deserved!🥳🥳
This is such a lovely display, Lady Mary Beth; thank you for sharing this with us. You have done so well in finding those bricks and finger vases. Your table looks so beautiful; each element accents the next one perfectly. I love your green Depression glass plates, with the tulip napkins on top. I'm wondering if you know of the Canadian Tulip Festival. It is said to showcase the world's largest display of tulips, with over one million in bloom. It began after the Dutch royal family sent a gift of 100,000 tulips to Canada, to thank us for providing refuge for their future Queen (Juliana) and her family during World War II. It's a truly beautiful festival, and if you are interested in learning more, just search for "Canadian Tulip Festival Ottawa". You will be able to see many images of tulips that appear to "go on forever". Thanks again! 🌷
One more reason I should spend time in beautiful Canada. 🇨🇦 ❤️ What a wonderful appreciation gift from the Dutch people. I knew that Queen Juliana lived in exile, but thought she was in England. What a great and safe refuge. I always learn from you! 😘
Oh Lady Mary Beth they are Absolutely Beautiful. I never knew they had such a brick.I did know about the fan one . Thank you for sharing this with. So until next time God Bless you and have a Blessed Easter. 🔩🌷🔩🌷🔩🌷🔩
I enjoyed your tulip video with all the history. I was sure you were going to provide this tip so I will share it with you. To keep tulips from bending over, add some pennies to the water. In no time your tulips will be standing up straight, no matter how low they had bent over. This is like magic. I have seen a tv show that focuses on the hub of big businesses. They showcased tulip central in the Netherlands. What a complex system for getting the tulips across the world while fresh. It is an amazing operation. So many factors to consider. Maybe there is a video of it somewhere on youtube. It is fascinating. I hope you try the pennies on some droopy tulips and comment on what happened. Happy Easter. Great video.
Thanks for the awesome penny tip! Will try next time. So much history to share on tulips. Some got edited out that I wanted to share. Will talk more when I get a grand tulipiere tower someday. 😉
On the lookout for more. Checked eBay and shopgoodwill last night and ALL my flower bricks are offered. Definitely got some deals at the charity resale and estate sale. Happy Easter to you! 🌷🐰💗
Hello Lovely LMB 🌹❤️ thank you for providing all the interesting facts and fascinating history behind these beautiful items! I’m always learning so much from your videos! I’m planning to go to an estate sale later today and they showed lots of delft pieces in the pictures. 🌹❤️
Delft is quite expensive at the shops in Holland. This should be a good one! 💙🤍 Look for tulip vases and flower bricks. Most pass these up because they don’t know what these are. 🌷
@@LadyMaryBeth Hello Lovely LMB, I bought a few pieces yesterday at the sale and my mom did as well, our purchases came out to around 65 dollars. I did in fact look for block pieces with the holes because I loved what you did with them in your video but they didn’t have any. They had lots and lots of plates and little ornamental pieces. About 10 Years ago when we went to holland, my brother purchased a small tulip vase with the many holes protruding out for 150 and Ive always adored it! Anyhow at this sale they had gorgeous Dresden porcelain vases and I purchased one that I can use to hold a candle maybe. They had a pair of intricate porcelain Dresden -Germany made jars with lids for 850 ! They were so stunning like museum quality. It’s a 4 day sale and I saw that today / 2nd day of the sale everything is 25% off. They were so friendly at the sale and even the last one I went to .. very friendly pple!
As a lover of history I enjoy that you share some history in your videos! Beautiful collection! I wander if you would ever do a home tour and a tour of your china closest or decor storage? Thanks for the consideration and videos!
Vases are very pretty! I love tulips. They are so pretty! In North Dallas there is a place where you can visit and see tulips fields (in Pilot Point). I have been there with my daughter. It is 40 minutes from where I live.
I hope everyone knows Goodwill stores are no longer non/not for profit stores. Mark Curran, the owner, no longer lists Goodwill Industries as a 501C3 with the IRS. Your donations to Goodwill are no longer tax deductible. Goodwill Industries is a resale business for the benefit of Mark Curran. He has stopped hiring many handicap people also. Information found many places on the internet about Goodwill has not been updated in awhile.
Love it. I have a runner to match your napkins! Have you ever been you ever been to the Keukenhof in the Netherlands. I’m going to look for a tulip vase.
Thanks for coming along for the tulips! 🌷 My storage is in many areas of my home. I dream of a hidden room/Butler’s pantry off the dining area. If I ever build a home, this would be essential.
Hello I just found your channel and love it. I wanted two of the big tuliperies too. I decided to make some out of cardboard and paper. There are some pictures on my instagram. Mclainlaurie is my instagram name. Looking forward to more videos once I watch all of the old ones. Cheers.
Will look for you on IG. A viewer shared a great tulip tip. 🌷 Put a penny in your vase and no more droopy tulips. It works!! I did florals for a party in Tennessee (flying home now) and 5 days later they are straight as a pin.
How do you suggest cleaning these? I use Polident tablets to clean out vases but I have no experience with tulipieres or flower bricks (love those!) (Just learned that flower bricks come in cubes and the tulipieres also come in round shapes - nice for a round table. Thanks!
I'm just seeing this video (going back to watch ones I haven't seen). Is it possible the mark on the wine glasses is Pasabahce? I believe they made some crystal glasses in Turkey.
Thanks for the tip! A viewer shared with me and I have been putting a penny in ever since. I have red tulips in the 5-finger vase right now. It really works!

Neat that you lived in Germany. 🇩🇪 It’s rather cold there right now. Wishing you a joyous Easter. Frohe Ostern! 🐰🐣
What a beautifully decorated table. Thanks for the hot water tip of the plant food. The blue and white, just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing ❤
Another tip is to place a penny in the vase to keep tulips from dropping. Thanks for viewing the tulips! 🌷

Absolutly gorges !

Lovely!
I bought a small pot of tulips still in bud yesterday. I’m hoping they will open nicely for Easter. Thank you for a beautiful video.
Put them near a light source and they will open faster. Though, they are lovely as tight buds. Enjoy your tulips and Happy Easter! 🐰 🌷
Beautiful ❤️

Absolutely one of my favorite spring flowers 💐 I love how informative your videos are, I definitely will keep an eye out for these type of vases 😊
The flower bricks are such fun! 🌷 You might find these at local thrift shops. No one else will know what they are. 😉
Wow. Nice content. Keep on sharing. God bless.

Great idea! I soak in Dawn dish soap and then rinse out.
I'm just seeing this video (going back to watch ones I haven't seen). Is it possible the mark on the wine glasses is Pasabahce? I believe they made some crystal glasses in Turkey.
A viewer identified it… seems like it is Lenox. I enjoy hearing about other crystal brands, such as the Turkish one you mention.
Is it still the case that adding a USA penny helps tulips remain erect? Perhaps not now as I'm not sure they are made from copper any more.
It doesn’t hurt to throw in a penny. 🤷🏼♀️
Put a penny in the vase and they will stay standing straight up.
