She’s a great performer. Jo Dee Messina (country singer) has a very similar tone but doesn’t have the same stage presence as Shelly. Shelly, Selina are both awesome and completely different.

In that sense, she was more artistically inclined. She has a great voice too. Selena was more of the performer, undeniable stage presence, dancing and vocals. She never wrote her songs though or produced stuff- that was all her brother AB, Ricky vela and Pete Astudillo. Selena only took part in the creative aspect of the Bidi bidi bom song and only came up with that Chorus idea.

It's her voice. Not that her voice is bad, but she doesn't have THE voice. She is still a very good performer and a pro at what she does.
