PART 1: • Not-Mainstream Chillin...
Check out my other musical theater videos!
• HOW TO BE A PAID TEEN ...
• WHAT POLITICAL PARTIES...
I feel like most of these "Musical theatre moments that give me chills" videos only have mainstream clips so here is my own version. Remember it's the moments that aren't mainstream, not the shows. Plenty of these shows are super popular but they have some very underrated moments in them.
I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THESE CLIPS

Just noticed Stephanie’s dress looks a lot like the dress Eliza wears in Burn in Hamilton and they’re both talking about being done with their men.
THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING ‘All You Wanna Do’! I found the ending so chilling when I saw a clip of Samantha’s performance because she plays the character so well! The fact that Katherine was a 19 year old girl who had been taken advantage of her whole life and Sam plays her so well. 7:40 is when Katherine realises that these men have just taken advantage of her. And you can see that she goes from being happy at the beginning of the song to becoming more and more unsure as the song goes on until Katherine ends up breaking down at the end and it’s so heartbreaking to watch!
I totally agree! Samantha is SO good!
@@savannahcobb9032 she is awesome!
I saw Six at the Citadel before it transferred to Broadway, and nobody clapped after Sam's performance because we were all so shocked and moved. She's the best K Howard.
@@kiarramay9220 She definitely is awesome!
hunchback of notre dame is the best seriously we need more musicals with signing in them
I thought you said singing and I 😂😂😂
@@carlosalejandroalvarenga4913 me too and I face palmed after re reading
Have you seen the Deaf West revival of Spring Awakening? Its BRILLIANT
My brother was once in a showcase, and the theater they performed in had it’s A/C malfunction, and since it came during a heatwave and one of the songs was “Too Darn Hot”, it really WAS too darn hot in that theater.
The end of Made Of Stone sung by Michael Arden will always be my all time favorite
Aida is NEVER in these sorts of compilations! And you picked the best moment too! I love it!
I love hunchback and I didn't realize there was a version were Quasi was Deaf! That's super cool. Do you have any more clips from that show?
i believe in the book he is deaf because of the bells.
I love it too! If you look up 5th Avenue Theater Hunchback on UA-cam a lot of different clips from the show come up :) Thanks for watching!
Oh my goodness yes that show was Seattle's 5th ave theatre. I saw it and it was breathtaking! Quasimodo is played by Joshua Castille in that performance
Full version that’s a great quality is called “hunch back at noter dame at La Jolla house”
@@yourlocalanklebiter in the book frollo took pity on him because he was abandoned in the church as a baby. He was raised in the bell tower and learned sign language after losing his hearing because of ringing the bells everyday
The I Love You Song always gets me, in context and out of context. The quality of their voices plus the unison note at the end just gives me chills, and I absolutely love it.
I totally agree with the one from The Last Five Years... I remember listening to that song during passing time at school and ducking into the bathroom so that nobody saw me as I passionately lip-synched to the part that you put in this video. XD
I LOVE that. i absolutely adore the entire musical.
The Last 5 Years movie is actually really good?? Like no one appreciates it for how amazing it is, so thank you for including it.
The I Love You song hits so hard, thanks for including it!!! You have great taste!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. The I Love You Song is one of my favorites too :)
I had the privilege of being able to see the production of Pirate Queen. That show was so moving and so powerful.
I'm so happy you put 25th putnam county spelling bee
its my fave and everyone sleeps on it
also the opening to oklahoma (2019) is amazing as well
Ok you already had me with Get Out and Stay Out, but DANCE OF THE ROBE YES GAWD. I used to listen to that key change on repeat!! I’m 30, so a lot of these are fully mainstream to me but it doesn’t mean I love them any less. Your taste is ** chef’s kiss ** :) :) :)
I'm so glad you liked it! Dance of the Robe gets me every time. It is SO GOOD.
for the next video, i'm begging you to include alice by heart and love in hate nation. they're absolutely not mainstream, seeing as no one knows of their existence, but they need so much more attention. both of them are absolutely amazing
I haven't listened to those musicals but I'm totally happy to include them. You should send me some of your favorite chilling moments so I can include them :)
YASSS! LOVE IN HATE NATION IS THE BEST
Yes! Alice by Heart is maybe my favorite musicals ever. The score is gorgeous, and the entire thing is incredibly profound.
@@savannahcobb9032 for love in hate nation- the end of oh well. omg, it sends chills down my spine every time. also, the slow part of the 3 failed escape attempts of sheila nail. amazing, sad, emotional, everything. the entirety of revolution song. it's literal perfection.
for alice by heart- still. it's beautiful and gorgeous. chillin' the regrets. makes me feel like i'm dreaming and it's amazing. the end of some things fall away. it's so sad and sweet and beautiful.
i'm also going to add we are the tigers to this, despite not having listed it immediately, bc it also fits the criteria here. skype tomorrow. it's sad and sweet and lovely. before the breakdown. it's somehow even sadder and so perfect. move on. seriously, these songs get sadder and sadder, and this is by far the saddest, but also the most hopeful.
to those of yall who know the musicals i'm referencing (i finally found more fans!!) please add your fav songs/the songs you'd like to see so the lovely creator can decide which ones sound best to add! also, thank you for listening to what i had to say!!
@@savannahcobb9032 for alice by heart i have to say the last like 20-30 seconds of the song 'the key is' CHILLS every time those harmonies >>>
edit: really just all of this bit ua-cam.com/video/ODRYXorWINQ/v-deo.html

bro Bright Star knocked me out… what a blast from 2017! Not so fun fact I actually saw it the night of something deeply terrible happening in my family, so it holds a LOT for me, but it’s so impactful on it’s own.
i’d sell my soul to see oklahoma (2019)
as someone who saw it...its worth your soul lol
@@ceruleanhearts7604 that just makes me sadder :((
I sold my soul to see it... and by that I mean I saved up for months to fly to New York and see the show. Still broke lol but definitely worth it

Ok but deaf Queasimodo left me IN AWE!!
The Oklahoma revival made me like Oklahoma . I've found that I tend to lean towards shows that do something interesting and aren't bland musical theater music.
I love stephanie j block 😍 I wish I can see her live one day
I really gotta re watch hairspray. The first time I watched it it was on a plane and I don’t think that does it justice
Heck yeah Pirate Queen!

12:00 Fiyero defying gravity
8:38 eden espinosa is like an undercover agent. i just meant to watch some random musical theatre moments and she's here, giving me a heart attack again.
Does anyone know of a slime tutorial of the Oklahoma revival clipped here?
there could be one but i doubt it since it was performed in the round and the house lights were up the entire performance as far as i know
It was literally IMPOSSIBLE to get away with filming in that theatre. The house lights were up for pretty much the whole show, and the actors could see the entire audience. If you are really interested in the revival though, I actually recorded the audio of the second performance I was at knowing a bootleg would be impossible to find. Lmk if you want me to email it to you or something lol
yes sam pauly howard supremacy 😌😌😌
