  • How might the world look roughly 15 years from now if we choose well-being today? While economic prosperity has generally increased, why haven’t happiness and well-being?
How can we decrease the costs related to depression and stress-related disorders that are projected to double to $6 trillion by 2030? How can we learn to be happy, to be kind, and to be grateful?
Along with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Center is gathering world leaders in science, health care and media to alter humanity’s course by sharing how we can cultivate well-being in ourselves, our communities and the world.

What a helpful process, I have begun to practice this and am aware of the skills it offers me, I feel growth in patience, awareness, sense of peace and strength, ability to look at issues before me and find increased capacity to choose healthy pathways to solutions that affect me and others.

What an inspiring dialogue! I am a Mindfulness practitioner and a Public Health Consultant in the UK & have retired from my permanent post in the NHS to make a move to spread the message locally and in my home country Sri Lanka. It has given me less stress, more happiness and inspiration to walk on this path together with others involved in my journey to promote well being and peace..
What Dr Richie and his team are doing with HE Dalai Lama are amazing and your work have inspired us by providing scientific evidence and most importantly being generous in sharing knowledge free of charge, which are so valuable. I am sure there are so many who are silently learning from these programmes to change minds of their communities.
I have read Rick Hanson's books and viewed his programmes & has been in touch with him which has initiated my interest in this field.
May you all continue to have the strength & commitment to carry on this global task to safeguard our future generations! Pls continue to share any new developments
    Much Metta

My dream is to bring together all knowledge and souls in order to show and act with love to all in-need children in the world: orphans, sexually abused children and children who are traffiked. All those organisations, and there are a lot of them, should unite in their efforts to give new lives to children who are victims all over the world. The first step should be to create a network, logistically united in order to share every institution experiences . A huge network could facilitate exchange of information , experience and as an ultimate goal, spread love all over the unhappy children. Maybe somebody reads this post and is powerful enough to launch such an amazing project.

The Dalai Lama is in his position because of a destiny even he doesn't believe in, himself.
He was a baby who just happened to grow into one of the best men in the world... or was he a product of his environment?
Either way, we're so lucky to have him.

DALAI LAMA: He is wrong according my opinion , he says at 1:26 "the problems on this world were created by all of us" and "praying is not too much import" ,, what ????. Main and remarkable problems are responsible of few people (kings, presidents) they sometimes make good/bad decisions against the people. Jesus podia leer el corazon y pensamiento de las personas, al Dalai lama le tienen que traducir y hasta poner las "palabras" en la boca para comunicar ideas.

Can we ignore who are the main international actors who, with money, international policies, ways of life, disseminating consumerism and forcibly imposing their businesses, are moving towards establishing a world of inequality? Is it enough only talking and stressing the value of change through well-being, love and compassion? Can the nature of capitalism be left out of this conference?

His country was conquered by force and what he preach is non violence in the process to gain freedom back to Tibetan people...how do you expect that the process of non violence be steadfast but I am sure it will be best and helpful to both side

Do you think being like ISIS and used violence is the only way to regain freedom and solve process...then I think you need to think about what will be to you and your family if violence is being used when face difficulties

how come all you people ignore the real history of why he is treated as his own country's criminal? Yes, I have to say what we hear from his speech is beautiful and absolutely right, but what he did to Tibetan was so unforgivable and when he ruled Tibet that was the darkest time in the world. Please look at the history!!!!!! Wake up People!!!!!

Amber NG, u realy don't know about the history of tibet, our ancestors n H,H , 14 th DALAI LAMA did a lot of effort to calm down the situation between china n tibet with peacefully, through so many ways finally we failed, during that period most of the tibetan are religiuos minded, practicing love, compasion, tolerance, empitiness for achieved nirvanna that uprooted the seeds of suffering!!! So,what to do we don't have powerfull technolgy, machine gun, nuclear bomb, etc. After well trained ,so many of our warrior inside tibet n outside, that lead by H,H, brother started to murdered chinese army, then HH himself make them choice if u realy want me or not, if yes then must quiet violence, must go through peacefull way till the end,all of them our great warrior push back.U,what u know if this 21st century he let us through voilence way what about the humanity, destroying our only planet that belongs to all the sentient beings.
