Ever since 2016's "Deadpool" came out, meta humor has not been the same. This Comentario will discuss how "Animaniacs" (2020) and "Rick and Morty" use this type of humor to be the opposite of funny. Also Sonic is in there.

I agree. I love meta-humor, but I hate when certain pieces of media use it to lampshade their faults, and be like "We pointed it out, so any criticism is null and void", or when they say "we referenced something. LAUGH!". The new Disney+ She-Hulk is a show that is a perfect example of this. Every instance of meta-humor is lampshading the problems of the show in an incredibly unfunny and basic way.

This is exactly what i thought when i watched the 2022 "Rescue Rangers" film, they just throw meta jokes and allusions in every minute to the point it is just annoying. They comment on how making cartoons rap is 'cringey', then they do the exact same thing in the next scene. But hey, they admitted it sucks, therefor it does not suck anymore!

Teen Titans GO también usa mucho el Meta humor como forma de evadir la crítica, y lo usa bastante

A estas alturas, detesto todo lo que tenga que ver con el meta humor.
Lo que más me molesta es que ningún medio se toma siquiera la molestia de hacer meta humor de forma sutil u original; Todo tiene que ser lo más explicito y directo posible para que la audiencia "entienda" el chiste.
