As a twelve year old girl, this video is the most powerful thing in the world. It reminds me of the way we were built, built to pray to Jesus not to be materialistic but run with the things we need instead of trying and trying and trying to be the richest, to be the most popular. To go to school and be pressured to live like others want us to live. It's not about what others think, what others believe. My relationship with God is my relationship with God, no one can get in my way, no one can break me away... Jesus loves me, I love jesus, I need nothing more
I so love that there are comments from up to 7 years ago to a month ago. Christ's call echoes through the years and doesn't rely on trends and people still feel the fire of the spirit burning, thrilled by how Jesus can move and has moved and will continue to do so. Father do it again.
This is a calling and it was released roughly when God gave me a shake and I've only just come across it...its a prayer its so many good things about this...I'm going to learn it like I used to when I was a child.

in that whole video there weren't any teenagers! :( the generation before the Millennials had a Vision to poor into the next generation. i think the Millennials have a "vision" to poor into THEMSELVES. US teens need this, and we need the attention of the generation before us. i think THAT is the vision.

The words are inspiring and incredible but the whole video is ironic. The lyrics speak of an army of people who live completely selfless and counter-cultural, people who don't care about outward appearance or labels, yet... pretty much all the people in this video are attractive fashionable hipster artists and what our society would consider "cool". Why are we still trying to fit in? Why are we still trying to make being a Jesus follower cool? It's an obstacle that holds us back from living the way of Jesus, it's narcissism, fear of man, don't we see that? But the words in this video... dang if that could just be a reality. It gives me chills to think about.
..there's a truth in what you say. But habits and crosses have proven to be an obstacle too. The solution, I think, casual detachment from the world consumerist style factory, but complete awareness that relevance to culture is not optional. First and foremost - be who you are called to be. I feel you, but you know, what society considers "cool" really is who some people just so happen to be... why can't we be a Jesus follower AND cool? Just because they are stylish and physically attractive doesn't mean they care about labels or are trying to fit in, perhaps God has just given them an eye for beauty and a face to match. In many circles (conservative christian included), it is actually counter-cultural to have tattoos, piercings, bold hair. For the longest time growing up, I didn't think I could be a christian and be cool, yet I naturally gravitated toward wearing 'weird' clothing and having brightly coloured hair. It was only when I met a bunch of "cool hipster" wild and somewhat unorthodox christians who seemed to live even more radically for Jesus than many of the mild-mannered, clean-cut ones I had grown up with, that I realised that our outward appearance has nothing whatsoever to do with the state of our heart, and I am allowed to 'be myself' (not saying that I'm super cool or anything, but I would likely fall more into that side than the other if we're judging by fashion preferences)... that was the day I began to let go of the need to be a certain way, and instead began to live in freedom under God and God alone (this isn't to say I don't try to be sensitive to others culturally etc, but I am no longer bound by what others think spirituality has to look like).
Thanks for putting in words what the truth in this movie is. It´s important to be aware and awake. But to capture a spirit behind something is more or less impossible. Finally if you switch of the sound, the movie is rather boring. The lyrics I know since 1999 and part of this vision I guess already became true. Probably more in places like China or Africa or Pakistan or whereever believers are in danger of being killed for their faith and still keep it.
I believe that God's vision isn't his plan, that they are 2 different things, that God planned for us to be perfect with Adam and Eve but gave us a choice. We didn't make the right choice and now if we heard what God's first vision was we would die because our mind would be so blown, we would kill ourselve ls because we know we cannot live up to that. We will never change how we were made and neither can God, we will never follow Gods first vision because Satan got in the way, but we can follow God's plan because he understands that his first vision was stupid, we cannot live up to him, he is our father and father's aren't always proud of there children. We will never live up to God, because we were stupid and let our opinions get in the way. Our minds are so closed that even if we try to do the right thing and cut ourselves from materialistic ways, we can't because we can't follow God's vision, but God's plan knows tat and that's why we follow that instead.
