      Hey. I am getting into Unity programming and development and I wanted to know something. Basically, you know the thing with texture resolution and quality where, the closer you get to the object, the more blurry the texture looks? Could you maybe make a prototype script/mechanic where the closer you get to the object, the quality and resolution of the textures are retained? I had an idea of how this would be possible, where the closer you are to objects that are in your view, the more of that texture would be rendered on those objects and the smaller they would be rendered, making it seem much more detailed. Thanks, and I love what you are doing. I was thinking that you could detect what objects are in your view using a ray cast, and also using ray casts to detect what objects are closest to you and what object you are looking directly at, and determine the level of texture rendering would be required based off that. But that is just my idea I am sure you will come up with a better one.

    Great video. Although it's nice to see the image being built, I'd prefer that the other windows (hierarchy, project, etc.) much larger, so it'd be possible to see how you're making this, literally what menus you're selecting, what assets.. On a related note, instead of doing a time-lapse of 2 hours down to 3 minutes, 15 or 30 minutes would make it more educational. Anyone who wants to see it faster can use the Settings in youtube to speed it up, but slowing it down isn't the same (I think too many frames are lost). Anyway, I have lots to learn before I can even consider something like this, but it was certainly inspiring.

    man, that looks so beautiful and fun. im trying to decide what i want to do and i really love gaming and the creative aspect of bein able to design them. but on the other hand everyone is saying things like "learn python if you want to get into programming" or "game developer is not a safe job" or things like that. im very conflicted on what to do, which direction to take as someone who wants to get into the programming industry and where to start as a beginner. i research alot, but all the possibilties and time requirements make it even harder. i basically narrowed it down to either learning c# and c++ later on to work with game engines like unity or unreal and go the game path, or learning python and expand to other languages that are being used as a fullstack dev in the future. its such a hard choice for me.

    • @konnosgaming9506
      @konnosgaming9506 3 роки тому

      Just go with what you like doing most man. I started creating games in unity because I'm having a good time doing it. Don't think too far into the future, just do what you enjoy doing. And i dunno who told you that game dev isn't a safe job, cause that's not true. Don't just go with python because others told you that it's easier to find a job if you know python. You absolutely can find a job as a game dev if you're good at it or even make your own games and make money off of them. But all that's completely irrelevant in my opinion when you're just starting. Just go with what you like man, don't do it just to make money, do it cause you enjoy doing it, that's what matters most

    • @konnosgaming9506
      @konnosgaming9506 3 роки тому

      And let me tell you, there are more gaming studios hiring people who are into game dev today more than ever. The job opportunities game dev offers are endless. That being said, you have to be good to get a job in game dev. It certainly isn't easy. The competition can get fierce

    Can you make a video of creating a level which serves actual in-game purpose, like a combat arena, dungeon, or town with NPCs? While your videos can teach a lot about using Unity editor, the end goal is always just a cool render without practical application. Level design is more than making a single camera angle look good.

I know it’ll take time to learn the new programming language, but I’m ready for that. And I came to you, because you’ve been creating games for years and I don’t know who else I’d go to ask besides u lol. Hopefully u respond so I can get to it.

    This is NOT how you create levels for a game. You better put some more thought and planning behind a level then this guy has. Simply placing props wherever you feel like does not make a good level. A huge amount of thought process goes into making any level. Don't fall for this flashy shit boys, do it right.

      Look dude... this project that he created was already practiced by him and he did know what to do so just don't spread hate without knowing something... No offence but just make sure you don't hate somebody without knowing mate!

      @@jaisamyukth3876 I don't care how much he practiced this, it still is not the correct way to approach level design. I'm pretty sure anyone who has actually designed a level of limited scale for his/her game would agree with me. You should do a little more research before talking about things you don't understand just yet. Look up level design videos from platforms like GDC if you're actually interested in doing this the right way.
