catching fire was the first book to movie adaption i absolutely adored, i loved seeing your experience reading the hunger games for the first time and to see just how timeless this book series is shaping up to be. not gonna lie, the way you talked about the naturals really intrigued me, so... might just pull up on my libby app just to see if it's available. hope you're having a good day!
I loved this reading vlog! It made me want to re-read The Hunger Games series! I read it in middle school when the movies came out and then once in high school but I haven’t read it again since so now I want to!
Omggggg how am I just coming across your videos! Subscribed and liked! And binging all your videos!!! I love how you express how you feel about the book!
i loved the ungergames series too, it was really good, i feel like it is misguged often and people think of it as a books for kids or teenagers. in eal it is a very great and wee structed dystopian novel. very fun vlog
Love on the brain is my favorite Ali Hazlwood. Love theoretically was very smutty too. Lol I am so happy you found the Hunger Game series, it’s my favorite series of all times! It’s my comfort read.
you just inspired me to pick up hunger games for the first time! i rewatched the movie recently, didn’t quite enjoy it as before but i kinda feel that the book is better!! 🎉💌✨🌸
I loved Keeper of Enchanted Rooms and the sequel! 🤗 It was a pleasant surprise as an Amazon First Reads book last year. Hope you pick it back up and give it another try.
Love on the brain didn’t live up to The love hypothesis for the exact same reasons. Bee was just annoying me so much, to the point I thought about dnfing the book.
Ali Hazelwood is not a great writer when it comes to holding her characters accountable for what she as the author wants them to be. So often we are told by other characters in the book or by the main character that the love interest is 'grumpy' or 'moody' or a 'dick' but we NEVER see that character actually ACT that way. It's the author telling us something that doesn't hold up to the characters actions + the characters never actually SHOW us how they feel or supposedly are meant to act like. Her characters are cute and her stories are super easy to read, but it's a little infuriating because you can so easily read through her trying to like stockholm us into thinking a character is an asshole or mean when everything he does and says is the complete opposite of this? I don't know- just something that drove me crazy whilst reading her work. She struggles to follow through with writing an actually asshole character who gets a redemption.
Bad blood wasn’t a 5 star for me either 🥲 it became so convoluted it was hard to keep up - also the ending seemed a little rush. The entire series is SOOOO underrated though in my opinion, the second book was my fave by far!
Catching Fire is an absolute masterpiece. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
