There's obviously been a philosophy change to hitting. Instead of working the count it's now swing early swing often don't make the pitcher sweat
Yeah, I said early on this season I don't care for the aggressive approach while in the box. Not sure why the change, stat programs maybe?
I remember in 2017 they made the opposing pitchers throw a lot.

Man we're never gonna hear the end of the Blanco sticky stuff debacle. That was a bs walk call though, it was obviously a strike, seems we have to beat the other team and the UMPs every damn game.
The umps have been bad for everyone in MLB this season.

@@ktcarl Yeah they have, but seems every bad call goes against us this season. And I really try to be objective about it.
@@bobbygetsbanned6049 Maybe so but I watched the last series with the Mariners and one of the plate umpires was blowing pitch calls to both teams. No one knew where his strike zone was.

It baffles me how many of you don't understand 18M dollars a year..... he's not going anywhere. MAYBE this off-season, but def not until then. No one's taking him in a trade, he's not getting cut, he's not staying in AAA. Accept what reality is and stop asking this stupid question.
Well, at least Astros won this series.
Except for the HRs, the Astros this game were just a pop up or infield grounder waiting to happen.

At 5:51 how is that not a strike? Basically this umpire saw that the pitch was good and intentionally walked that Cardinal hitter to help them win the game! How is it okay for the umpire to cheat for a team like that? Does he face any consequences for his cheating or does a corrupt umpire has absolute power to cheat for whatever team he wants? The outcomes for baseball games should be determined by the players and coaches, not by the umpires! Is this why MLB refuses to use electronic devices to determine balls and strikes - because it would eliminate its corrupt umpires’ ability to cheat? But why should cheating be a part of baseball? Why can’t they simply let the best team win? Frankly, the cheating by shady umpires have been going on for way too long! Something has got to be done or else the game is so tainted that the outcomes of the game are meaningless because it’s the umpires that determine the winner and loser!
