But why can’t we have the benefits of low mesh in the benefits of high mesh really it’s not that difficult or complicated just remove the big effects from the breaking and building of builds from high mesh and make it more visible You could always simplify the model too so really we’re just playing the worst version of the game lose lose
Tested low vs high meshes today. Low meshes actually made my input delay worse when testing with the Nvidia performance overlay while free building and in game. The difference was as little as 1 ms, but that's just the facts. Also, low meshes actually gave me worse FPS. I used to be a low mesh player, but I will be switching to High meshes from here on out. For additional context, I play on a 3070, 64 GB RAM, 1 TB storage, and i5-13600 processor.
It's been a while. Took a break. But now I'm back. Story times will happen in the future, it just won't be the main thing or immediate after coming back
@@reidtheninja a few people have made videos about it and i have tested it myself too and I can confirm that it gives you more fps and less stutters my buddy on a low end PC experienced the same thing
@@reidtheninja i think high mesh is good if you're not a pro because i think the reason he went back on low is because of end game in comp, theres too many builds and with high meshes there are animations/particles whenever its being built or whenever it breaks and when that happens end game im sure there are FPS drops and visual clutter that low mesh wouldn't have obviously we know the benefits of high mesh for visibility but for pros its prob best for low mesh in comp games
No not input delay, but it can hurt your frames since it’s more vertices for your game to render. Input delay is time from click to get registered by the server
@@ivancastagnini I cannot provide the best answer to the question you ask Reid is your best source but from how you ask the question you make it sound that the issue started when you changed to high mesh the reason your build "doesn't charge" is because your pc can't handle the high mesh the best way to fix pc spec related issues is in your graphic settings on fortnite choose "recommended" fortnite will choose graphics based on your pc's specs and what it can handle once fortnite applies all of the recommended settings lower another one of your graphical and then raise your meshes to what Reid suggested this will make it so your pc isn't having this "lag issue" and you can enjoy the new suggestions made by Reid just please keep in mind that i am not the best when it comes to pc understanding i simply used this strategy because my pc is very weak in some departments and this strategy made it so i could access high meshes i highly recommend waiting for Reid to comment though because he is by far way more intelligent on all things fortnite imo

Real
geniunely, you've actually made me play different. i've watched 5 vids so far and i thank you smm.
Thank you for saying that man. That's the goal. These comments make me actually realize that people listen and that's really cool for me. Thank you
Ahh yes (I haven’t watched it yet)
Alr I watched it
quickest comment in the west
How to get them on mobile
I haven’t tried, but I’m not sure if that’s possible. Low mesh builds are commonly referred to as mobile builds
3:41 that snipe was insane lol
🙏🙏🙏 I love these seasons with the snipers

Join the high mesh squad 💪
this video is great but can you do a video on a fps boost cause im fps dropping with high meshes
I could look into it. Sometimes I just tank the drops tbh, I do need to do some more research on that
I dont know whz but in performance mode high meshes gives me more fps by a small bit
That is crazy, I’ve never heard of that
Low meshes just look cleaner and yeah when builds are built and destroyed they make a lot of unnecessary clutter on the screen.
I go back and forth between them now a days
ikr its a disadvantage because u cant see tru it
If the debris wasn't as aggressive on high meshes it wouldn't even be a competition. Seeing through the builds is so strong
I remember when you used to do story times
It's been a while. Took a break. But now I'm back. Story times will happen in the future, it just won't be the main thing or immediate after coming back
It's still amazing to see how his story time like commentary is still present in these videos in the way his outros and even intros play
high meshes gives better FPS because it takes stress off the CPU and gives to the GPU
Interesting. Might be worth it to test that

When i use low meshes, my edit so bad. When i use high meshes my edit so fast and my mouse so refonsif
MrSavage is no longer on high meshes, all the top pros are on low mesh performance mode right now
I go back and forth between using them now a days too. But I still love high meshes

LOW MESHIS ARE SMOOTHER WHEN FREEBUILDING
I mention that in the video. Low meshes give a slight fps boost and have no debris animation. Probably why it feels "smoother"
I mean pretty usfull and some usless
Fair reaction, but I definitely use all of these strategies daily
"what fails one soldier will send the next into victory"

this video is cool, but why are you editing with space
I’ll make a keyboard layout video eventually, and you’ll see that is the least cursed part 😬
oh no...
So happy I found this channel
I'm so happy you found this channel
as someone who has a cripple pc my frames are more desperate then Reid's vbuck addiction
And thats a fair statement, but if you do try it out eventually the frame drop isn't crazy

Of course!
this is y mrsavage uses high meshes
I didn't even know that. Now my argument has more validity lmao
yoo u didnt know that actually your video made me change my settings thank u@@reidtheninja
not anymore, MrSavage is currently on low meshes now in season 4 Chapter 5
space for edit is crazzy
