Grimm was a great show. I have watched it so many times and never get bored of it. When I first watched it, it had already finished airing. When you binge the early seasons you can't help but wonder how much of this was planned. Did they always know Adalind will become the new female lead, or did they come up with it later on. Certain scenes hint at a long-term plan like Adalind being the first Hexenbiest Nick saw or him thinking of proposing to Juliette and Adalind and his mom come to his house, and him asking what's so valuable about her. Things like that among many others just didn't seem to be a coincidence.
They were not planning on having Claire Coffee (Adalind) as a regular, she was supposed to be on as a guest, like all other guests on the show. However she was well received by the audience, that they made her into a regular character. I love her naive young hexenbiest in the beginning, right up to mature don’t mess with my kids mama she became later on in the show. Plus her redemption arc.
In truth this wasn't planned but they did intentionally show attraction between the 2. After the first season they did want Adalind to be a cause of tension between Nick and Juliette. Adalind is also the 1 who told Renard she should be seducing Nick not Hank, implying she thought there was something between her and Nick that she could use. I also couldn't help but notice that everything Adalind did always had 1 major outcome, am unhappy Juliette, almost as if Adalind intentionally was keeping Juliette from finding happiness with Nick. On Nick's part, I think he softened to Adalind when he realized she never got as bad as Juliette did when she became a Hexenbiest. I think he developed a new appreciation for her self control after seeing how much it changed Juliette.
They came up later on. Because in the 1st season, Claire Coffee (Adalind’s actress) wasn’t part of the main cast, just as a guest star. However, fans loved her role and she became part of the main cast later on.
When writers found out actress was pregnant they created story lines Nick and Adalind ..what a great job writers did. Reviews indicate ratings increased for seasons 5 & 6..
They have SO MUCH chemistry, one of the greatest chemistries EVER! And the way Nick kisses her, with such passion and the way he's holding her, like he just can't get her close enough even though there's no getting closer ❤️🔥🔥🥰❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
It's strange going back to Season 1 and re-watching this series while knowing what ends up happening. For example, at one point Nick is about to propose to Juliette while at their house and in the meantime, Adalind is with Nick's mother in Portland on the way there of course not knowing she was going to Nick's. When I saw that scene, I said, "Don't worry, Nick, Adalind's on her way. You can give her the ring soon." LOL. There's so many little moments like that, though, that I wonder how much was planned and little ironies were dropped.
She was so honest with him. She had learned what damage comes from secrets and saw them also tare Nick and Juliette apart. She made sure he knew she was why the loft got attacked. For better or worse she would tell him the truth. I also want to point out Adalind was not the direct violent type. She usually did her damage from the shadows, indirectly. But multiple times she made direct threats against Renard of he killed Nick. Even though it didn't seem like it, each time she asked Renard if Nick was dead, the fact that he said Nick still lived, is the only reason Renard lived and i think a part of him knew that
I wonder if ironically it's harder to generate on screen chemistry with someone you have a relationship with. I'd feel pretty awkward if a room full of people were watching me kiss my husband, whereas it might be a bit easier if you could fully inhabit the role and know it's purely juat a job.
I started watching this series months ago when I saw it airing on Comet, three episodes M-F. Then I began watching from the beginning and the very first woman Nick sees is Adalind in the first episode. I always believed there was foreshadowing in that moment their eyes connected because he had the engagement ring he intended to give Juliette. Their romance is one of the best hate to love tropes I have ever watched!
This is one of my favorite scenes in grimm. I kind of wished the ending was a little better. I wanted to know what happened to the other characters, see adalind and Nick get married, and I wanted to see the triplets, Kelly, diana, and the whole gang in action one last time. Overall, I'm just happy it wasn't cancelled with a cliffhanger.
It was actually triplets, but yes, I too would have loved to see the show continue. I mean supernatural ran for 15 seasons with pretty much the same plot line, with some new twists here and there. Same could have been done with Grimm, except with Grimm I really enjoyed how Grimm presented the storylines. My favorite was El Cucuy.

I think it's in 5x22 , after Bonaparte choked Adalind and threatened her kids if she doesn't give nick's address, Diana asked her mom if her dad hurt her, she said no dad's friend did , since she's a smart girl, she figured it was Bonaparte, and she went to her creepy dolls manipulating her dad into killing Bonaparte 😉
Nick and Adalind are one of the best cases of enemies-to-lovers ship. What an amazing couple! I was so glad they didn't stick with Nick and Juliette. They made each other miserable, and I didn't want the writers to keep them together just because of the actors' real-life relationship. Nadalind = True Love

One of the worst TV matches in history and I stand by that, I stopped watching Grimm just because of them it just made no sense to me. One good thing did come from it Nick and Juliet are married in real life I think they even have a child.
@@breezy3392 It wouldn't be problematic if the producers made a more compelling drama changing Juliette for Adalind, remember, the producers were expecting that the audience love the princess in the castle, and hate the wicked witch of the west, but the audience turn around and hated Juliette to the guts, and everyone loved Adalind, so much that she was put in the intro of Season 2, this is like Castle, but instead of them sinking the ship in the last season of Castle with no resolution whatsoever, this case is more, that they were incapable of reading the room, they really trough that they have a brilliant idea of Nick struggling to live his double life as a Grimm and a boyfriend/fiance to Juliette was a good idea, when everyone agree with the advice that Nick aunt give him in the first episode, that he should have let Juliette go, because she only become an annoying inconvenience and the audience began to dislike her more and more.
@@TheKeyser94 By problematic, I meant the fact that Adalind raped Nick so she could magically drug him to take away his powers and that's how she had Kelly. They...really should not have gotten together after that
@@Velvet.323 I am well aware of the context. The others not informing Adalind of the plan either before or even after to let her know her baby was safe was a terrible horrible thing to do to her. That doesn't take away the fact that what she did was also a horrible thing to do to someone. She had her reasons? Yes, she did. So did Nick and the others. And if you want to talk about context I could point out that Adalind has tried to kill nearly everyone else at some point. None of the others really have any reason to like, trust or care about her in the slightest. We the audience have seen her scared and hunted to make us sympathetic to her but what Nick and his friends know about her is the vindictive witch who tried to kill Aunt Mari, almost killed Hank, and put Juliette (an innocent bystander at the time) into a coma.

muss ich dir zustimmen weil ich finde Adalind+Nick passen viel besser zusammen und wüsste so gern wie es mit den beiden weiter geht weil die beiden sind einfach ein Traumpaar
Better chemisty than Nick&juliette
Ther is just something about enemies tured lovers 💏 thre chemistry was amazing

@@montydrasner5176 Ich stimme zu, seit sie sich zum ersten Mal gesehen haben. Feinde für Liebhaber
That is. The love we all seek
They never showed us if Adalind was able to get the ring off before the show ended. We're just suppose to assume she did in the flash-forward ending.
You see Nick take it off her in the final episode
@@colinvaldivia2594 Yeah when she’s dead af😭
The ending
@@aprilhippie8752 she died?
@@Reneeee2 Everyone including/except Trouble did. ( yeah I'm not going to explain how that works, you'll just need to watch it again to find out.)
Basically The Destroyer took everyone Nick cared about / loved to force him to do something.
But the strength of family won in the end.
As much as I liked Juliette and Nick in beginning of show I love this Adelaide and Nick in the last season of the show. Its definitely bc of character development and show's storyline bc these two could only be together after all thats happened to them...no way could this of happened in earlier seasons of show.
Eu tô assistindo essa série é amo esse casal
Come back; come back!
Dayum, what a turn around on the story...a Grimm and a Hexenbeist...holy crap...I like Adalind better than Juliette...
They still did Juliet wrong.
She was duped over and over until her untimely death.😢
For some It dont pay to be nice in Portland

Is It Forever?!
What?
But what happened to juliette
Well she "died" and became Eve and forgot about her love life with Nick
@@Lixvator_ she didn't die they managed to save her but Hadrian's Wall had to "recondition" her. because of her becoming a hexenbiest her behavior became too violent and she was the cause of the death of someone nick loves. So they changed her to the point that they made her into a new personality. She remembers everything but is emotionally detached to those memories because she doesn't see it as hers anymore.

I both like this and hate it the chemistry is good but she did kill his aunt and basically drugged hank
she didn't kill her, she tryed and failed, his aunt died when fighting the guy who was going to kill her in the hosptial hall.
As opposed to juliette indirectly killing his mom and burning the trailer?
Nick & adaline make a great couple on Grimm bc I sure didn't care for the actress that originally played his wife before he meet adaline .
Nick and Juliette were never married. And you mean Elizabeth tulloch his real life wife.
So this links Florian with Louisa...LOL
When juliette died grimm is over ... Julitte is life end because of only nik but cant understand ...
Anime

Really pitty tooo much that it’s not Renard 😂😂love ship them
WHY DID THEY DO THIS TO ME
J'aime plutôt Juliette
I hate this couple. I hate the fact that adalin is had an happy and after all bad she done.😢
So I bet you don't like Delena off of the vampire diaries
Não consigo shippar de jeito nenhum
One of the worst TV matches in history and I stand by that, I stopped watching Grimm just because of them it just made no sense to me. One good thing did come from it Nick and Juliet are married in real life I think they even have a child.
Sorry, but the wicked witch of the west proven to be more popular and likeable than the princess of the castle, talk about irony.
I'd definitely say it's a problematic match considering how baby Kelly got made
@@breezy3392 It wouldn't be problematic if the producers made a more compelling drama changing Juliette for Adalind, remember, the producers were expecting that the audience love the princess in the castle, and hate the wicked witch of the west, but the audience turn around and hated Juliette to the guts, and everyone loved Adalind, so much that she was put in the intro of Season 2, this is like Castle, but instead of them sinking the ship in the last season of Castle with no resolution whatsoever, this case is more, that they were incapable of reading the room, they really trough that they have a brilliant idea of Nick struggling to live his double life as a Grimm and a boyfriend/fiance to Juliette was a good idea, when everyone agree with the advice that Nick aunt give him in the first episode, that he should have let Juliette go, because she only become an annoying inconvenience and the audience began to dislike her more and more.
🤢🤮
