I lost my little familiar just over a year ago quite suddenly. He was my best friend. He would often attack my paint brushes while I was painting. I have never grieved so deeply, and I understand the lesson of the crow all too well. Thank you for sharing your story, your grief, and your beautiful painting ❤
That granny is my late grandmother who was a botanist by profession and academia. She built a garden for her family, and her grand-daughter who found her little paradise and her safest space in this world. My grandma once befriended a large crow and it cam every afternoon to take a morsel from her hand. Thank you for sharing, because I just realized gramma Susan was an Earth angel and loving witch. My heart just cried remembering her and I realized I am just like her. I miss you ammachy.
Beautiful ❤ i was once told after i lost my mum grief is love with nowhere to go...it kinda helped knowing the pain i felt was really love ...glad i found your channel you are inspired and inspiring ✨️
My mother died unexpectedly last year. Going through Mother's Day and her birthday without her for the first time was difficult. Now as we are nearing one year since her passing, it adds a whole new side of grief and emotions.
I watch a lot of art videos and I can honestly say, yours are the very best! It's almost like watching TV- but really so much better than that too. Thank you for putting so much thought and care into these videos. By the way, your paintings are gorgeous and I love your painted plywood wall with the holes for the pegs. Genius!!!
That was truly beautiful ❤️ Please keep doing what you're doing. Your videos and stories are giving me (and I can bet many others) loads of inspiration, admiration towards life and motivation to create art purely from the heart ❤
Your story touched my heart. The crow painting is beautiful 🩷 Your artwork has an ethereal beauty. My dad has been gone for over 30 years. My mom has been gone for 4 years. I still think, oh, I should call mom and tell her about that. Then i remember. My sisters and i have crystals hanging in our windows, and when we see the refracted light, we all say Hello Mom. I put my hand on the light so i can touch her or stand in the light so I can have a hug. My dad was a painter, and his paintings are in my living room. Since my granddaughter was 4 months old, she has stared at his paintings. She would try to twist around so she could see them if i had her in the wrong direction. I would ask her if great-grandpa was here. She was too young to answer. She saw a photo of him, and i said that's great-grandpa. She called him Pa. My sister and I laughed and said dad would have loved being called Pa. They're always with us🩷
My mother has been gone 10 years, and I still catch myself saying 'I can't wait to tell Mom' ... The reality that my father is gone (2 years now) hits me differently ... It's all a part of life, and it'll be my turn before I know it
Just discovered your channel and have to say that was by far the best video I’ve seen on UA-cam. Beautifully filmed, beautifully, written, and beautifully said.
Beautiful painting and video. I don’t know if you know this but I wanted to mention it just in case, Lily’s are highly toxic to cats, even just a small amount of contact. I had a friend lose their cat to a lily and I’ve heard other tragic stories too (the whole plant is deadly to cats). I refuse to have them in my house to keep my fur babies safe & I wanted to let you know 🖤
Oh no! Thanks for letting me know. I try to keep the toxic ones in my studio, where the kitties aren't allowed in unless I'm in there too. I'll watch those more - I would be heartbroken if something happened that I could have prevented. 🥺
Thank you for this video. I can't tell you how much your story and message means to me. I will watch this again, especially when the grief comes strong. Your painting is so gorgeous. I paint my grief too but it looks different. Bless you always.
Samantha...thank you for this. Both of our sons passed away, one 18 years ago (at age 36) our our youngest 8 years ago (at age 33). This message and sentiment is so comforting now as it would be back then. You are a treasure.
Samantha. SAMANTHA. This is absolutely beautiful. The painting. The story. The message. (The editing and shots!!!!) This one resonates right in my core. Thank you. I love the human you are.
Omgosh, thank you so much for this video and heartfelt story. I lost my mom four months ago, and in that time I also lost my 16 year best buddy old dog 'Jr'. I've really been struggling and accepting the reality of it all and as I listened to your story, my heart ached and yet it also smiled. Again, I thank you .. sending grateful hugs from Ontario Canada ;) Donna
Donna 🥺 Sending you all the magic and love I can muster. 🖤 I hope your heart finds more and more reasons to keep smiling over time. 🖤 Thank you for sharing and for watching. Happy to have you here! 🥰🙏
You are such a treasure ❤ how do you not have 1 million subscribers 🙌 I'm always so excited when you have a new upload 😘 thx for all of the inspiration lovely girl
Thanks for the feedback! I've been trying to keep that part short because I assumed it might be boring 🤭 I'll try to make it longer for the next video! 🙏🖤
I love your stories ! Do u come up with them on your own! I could listen to your voice and stories all day. Love your paintings ! Thank you and keep it up
I have only gotten 0:39 into your video and I already know I'm going to like it. If my screen name says anything then it should say I know way too much about this topic. I lost everyone older than me and my family My whole bloodline that was born before me between 2007 and 2014 with my dad in 2012 and my mom on my anniversary and New Year's Eve 2014. Grief sucks! We can't control it it's going to happen so we try to switch it to guilt this we can control guilt I'm glad you're doing a video on this topic I just randomly saw your coffee shop window video and it led me to this one. I just thought I would drop a few lines in before I watch the rest of it and subscribed. From one Florida swamp witch to another of the fay blessed be and no matter when it was I am sorry for your loss but as you surely know he's with you he is within you as well you living keeps him alive that's what we get to do as kids for our parents and I hope that helps in those times when you may be hit suddenly with a little bit of grief. That goes for anybody else who needed to hear that right now.
I love that! I've received similar comments about other cultures and crows since posting this video. So interesting to learn about all the stories and how they're all connected 🥺🖤 Thanks for sharing and for watching!
The crow is so stunning. I paused the video and sucked it into my mind. I love your voice and the story helps a lot! I think everyone has one or more losses in their lives, but it IS hard. Every single time. I really enjoy your beautiful stories. 🫶❤️💗🍄⭐️ Where can I buy a copy of this bird? 🐦⬛

One of my ancestor is my Ascended Master also. I call her Granny Leah.
I lost my mum 5 years ago suddenly and it still feels like she’s just on holiday.

Hello. Your art is very beautiful. Do you have a channel where you paint and discuss your technique, without the storytelling? Thanks for your time.
I've made a few short videos in the past on Instagram/TikTok/Shorts, as well as an ebook on my website. 🖤
