On Jinjin's radio show he mentioned that he and Binnie made this song back in 2018. For a while he'd been listening to it by himself but he felt like it was time to share it with us too. He said that although there were lots of places for improvement in the song, he didn't edit much because he wanted to preserve the memories that he has attached to it. He also said that the lyrics of the song is a message that Binnie would probably want to share with us. It's a gift from Binnie to those who miss Binnie.

Moonbin will always be my Astro bias and I just remember how devastated I was when i read the news. It took me months to listen to Astro again. And even longer to watch their videos. I still have days where I cant listen let alone watch but slowly im healing. Ill always miss Bin.
Bin helped make the song guide, Bin in addition to be Center of group was a Lead Vocal, so he helped jinjin before making the final version of the song. The song/lyrics was made by jinjin on 2018 but I doubt it was recorded in 2018 because Bin was blonde and a producer uploaded a photo from the moment of recording on april 19 and Bin looked like he did in 2020/2021 in black hair, maybe Jinjin was thinking of putting it on the solo album that never came out... but this was simply a beautiful guide song 🥹🌙💜 thank you for react and love Astro, Ben ❤️🩹

I'm so grateful to JinJIn (he has such a strong and wonderful heart) for allowing us to hear Moon Bin voice in this beautiful song. Astro colored and brought light to the lives of so many of us and in some way they are still able to comfort us even in this moments. I hope Aroha be a light and the strength they need too.

I lost two of my favourite artists in 2006 and 2016. The latter's music helped me deal with being bullied as a child; it took me a long time to listen to his music again, so I understand how you felt about listening to Astro again.
The only way to look at it is that Moonbin's out of pain now.

thank you so much ben for reacting to Fly even if it may have been difficult and i am so glad you waited until you were ready. jinjin explained that he and moonbin worked on and recorded this song in 2018, moonbin's vocals is what he recorded for the guide version of the song back then. i don't think jinjin has explained the inspiration of the song, but 2018 was the year they struggled with not being able to promote, etc... i honestly can't even explain how much i cried when bin started off the song. i honestly just thought we'd here bits and pieces here and there or maybe we'd get some kind of ddoca mv, i was not expecting it to be primarily bin singing the song. it hurts so much, but it is also such a beautiful song both in sound and meaning. im so so thankful that jinjin decided to release it.
it took me awhile to be able to start listening to astro again. it was difficult at first, but i knew i didn't want to move forward not hearing them anymore. there are good days and other days where its a struggle, but at the end of the day they still bring me comfort.
I'm so thankful to Jinjin for releasing songs that heal us these past few months like Circles, Good enough and now Fly.. I felt the same way as you, that song is really comforting and so hopeful too. He wrote it in 2018, it was a really bad time for them and Moonbin made the guide for it. Even if it's an old song I think it was the perfect time to release it 💜

I thought I'd never listen to his voice again besides all of what he left us and then Jinjin gave us the biggest gift. I had no words, I have no words. I can imagine Binnie's smiley face running alongside Jinjin on that beach.

I can hear the crickets in the background.😅. I feel like Moonbin had a hard time dealing with his career choice and society,knowing how different and exceptionaly sensitive he was. Now that he is gone, the hole he left is unreplaceble.... This is the only bridging gate he left us, to abide with.
