Good stuff! I got my X-S20 in August over the Sony A6700. Though I agree that Log will always give you better results, for a beginner like me, picking one of those film recipes for talking head videos or even street videos is an awesome way to start! Keep doing your thing brother!
I legit think if Fuji would jump into the cinema camera market with the XH2s specs (at least as a starting point, as it’s sooo close already) and incorporate all their film simulations/customization options with it, it would turn a lot of heads. There’s basically no professional cinema camera that lets you easily create different film vibes and looks straight out of camera. Which seems like it would lend itself perfectly to a cinema camera. Who wouldn’t want to use their cinema camera to lean into old school film vibes from time to time? The s20 seems like the little sibling to the XH2s, now let’s see the bigger sibling to the XH2s. Do it, Fuji! Ha
yeah for sure! I think there's definitely a place for that in the camera space! fuji making a proper cinema camera would be wild! I feel like more pro filmmakers will still end up shooting log BUT if you could give the option for some more "filmic" characteristics, it could be a really cool addition!
Edward, your in cameras video looks more film like to me than tha small videos. I think that the way you expose them and the color palette you choose makes them ( your talking to camera videos) looks really cool.
I did purchase an XT5 a couple of months ago and I am suuuuper happy with it, both for video and photo. I don't have the money to get the XH2S but this XS20 is going to be my main video camera for sure. I love shooting video with the classic chrome sim (K5600, DR100, H-2 S-2, color -2, sharpness -4) when the exposure it's right it just looks fantastic sooc. Great video! I would love to see more content like this about the XS20
Yo that’s sick! Yeah I’ve heard that the XT5 is pretty sick overall! I’ll definitely look into creating more content like this! I might even have to make a video with your recipe!

Do you think xs-20 will be good at professional/lightly professional video? I am really considering buying it over A7C but i am confused should i get full frame or crop fuji. I already have an XE-3 and an 18-55 lens. So i am considering fuji. But do you think crop sensor is limiting your workflow? Please let me know.
Simple A7C doesn't have 10 bit video - the X-S20 would be a better choice in my opinion. I don't personally find crop sensor very limiting at all but it depends what you like. I personally enjoy being able to use smaller and cheaper lenses vs getting the most bokeh ever but now with lenses like the sirui sniper series there's also plenty of great options for bokeh. Honestly the x-s20 does everything I need and I would have a hard time justifying getting a better camera unless I absolutely needed 2 card slots @@param2014
