peacock is strong into bb since you can swing into doc q then trash. I'm happy that they are starting to lean away from everything being on play but as a Blackbeard player it makes me scared
The manga rare is gonna be a SR from the set, not including the anniversary sets (5 and 9) mainline sets have gone back and forth between having a SEC rare as the manga and a SR as the manga and set 10 has the yellow SEC law as the manga.
The colosseum effect is really not that good here. Because you don’t have green to rest opponents characters to actually swing into them. And you don’t have blue so you can’t play like Rebecca/Usopp either. They reason the colosseum worked on them is because they have infinite draw so they can afford waiting for the opponent to swing first and rest their characters since they get to counter for free. This Koby can’t afford to wait that turn. And even if you pull it off, now your character is rested so he can get KOd by battle which Koby does not protect them from. Also with navy being so essential to the effects, you’re gonna KO with effects anyway, won’t you? So why will you need to swing into characters anyway? Secret Koby is good but only being able to attack active characters after 8 don is too late imo. In a way the new Jinbei is already better. With EB02 Zoro, Fisher Tiger and the new Jinbei he can swing into characters the turn his characters are played too but he also rests the opponents characters so he can actually attack them. And by restanding his characters they’re protected from battle whilest Tashigi can protect them from effects. Not to mention, against decks that don’t rely on removal like all green and purple and Aggro decks, Koby does more or less nothing.
Firstly, I can't believe you guys didn't bring up the 7c 7k Sengoku blocker. Not only can that blocker be saved by Koby's effect, but it brings back a 4c, much like Gecko, except it has counter too. I actually don't think Gecko Moria needs to be forced into every black deck and I do think this leader is one that would be better off without Gecko Moria. But Sengoku basically takes it's place and works better with this leader IMO. I'm not a huge fan of this art style. I'd say OP06 was one of my least favorites when it comes to the AA leaders. And these are very reminiscent, although, I do think they're a little better. The Nami could've been better IMO, but she's definitely alright. Jimbe looks awesome though, but he's Jimbe so like you said, he's about as good as he can look lol. I'm really disappointed about the Katakuri though. He's one of my favorites, but it's so bland! The base art looked a LOT better IMO. Luffy looks a little above average. He could've 100% been better looking, but he's now as bad as the others IMO. I know I'm in the minority and this might be a hot take, but I really wish they'd bring back the OP03 style for another set. I wouldn't want every set to use that style, and I'm glad both Nami's aren't in that same style TBH, but it'd be cool to see it every few sets.. 23:52 I fully agree, I expected a lot better from the Shirahoshi too. Like, make her an actual waifu card! Lol I mean, pretty much every single other Shirahoshi looks a lot more beautiful than this one. I even prefer her regular leader art over this one.. and I HATE it when people say stupid crap like "she's only 16." Yeah well she looks like she's 25 (not to mention, she's just a cartoon drawing anyway). It'd be one thing if she LOOKED like an actual child. That'd be like wanting Otama or something to get a waifu card. But obviously, no one wants that. But Shirahoshi LOOKS like a full grown adult! It's fine to sexualize her. Oda could come out tomorrow and say he changed his mind, "she's now 21 years old, or f*** it, let's make her 80 years old." Then all of a sudden, without the art or look of her changing in the slightest, people would be completely fine with sexualizing her! Because there's nothing inherently weird about sexualizing the art. She's not literally 16. She isn't real. That was a made up number and Oda could've made her any age. Sorry to rant about it. I just had a heated debate with an idiot on Reddit about this same topic 😖 I really need to stop getting into arguments with idiots on the Internet lol. I just can't stand it when people try to make you out as being weird for being attracted to what we're biologically programmed to be attracted to, and the people always pointing fingers are just virtue signaling anyway because if Oda said he's changed her age to 21 or something, they would immediately start sexualizing her too, meaning they're ALSO attracted to her! But I guess they feel weird about it and want to project their own insecurities onto everyone else... 😮💨 Okay, I'm done ranting for real now lol just needed to get that out lol
I think they just managed to make worse sabo. People rag on the ko but sabo could save them from battle which can deny tons of pressure, and doesn't lock you to an archetype
@SmallHatCrew The 8c and helmeppo are huge, but koby character can't be protected, eats your supply of trash, and ultimately battling characters is worse than just removing in other ways. Doffy is the only meta deck that usually has a ton of rested bodies at any given point in time, but with 6k statlines cheaper sword won't do anything early. He seems like he'll be decent, but I think he doesn't have staying power currently as a 4 life lead
You spent 80+hrs editing the Koby reveal. That’s dedication
@@slate6472 Oh for sure, I definitely had his cards 3 weeks ago. My uncle works at Bandai 🤓
Wow small world. My cousin knows an uncle at Bandai.

Pa-Paya at the start is PEAK

4 more sword members left hopefully they are good, Im curious if they will include prince grus’s golems.
Koby is going to need lucci levels of trash to fuel his leader ability and sec koby ability while trying to use gecko
we all saw what happened Avalo Pizzaro underestimated Koby.

Yeah after the whole Bonney fiasco I'm not touching online rhetoric about age with a 10 foot pole lmao
gecko to play out a 4c6k that gains psuedo rush with searcher punl it to 7k for the turn

Nahhh the first ability is massive considering his 8c exists

These are all op08 format AA leaders. Identical to pudding king and marco.
OP08 was very similar to OP06. Personally, I've always thought of them as the same style, just different artists.
The set is designed to beat doffy
I literally just got done with the other video
alt leader art is sad this time. real manga heads are best
Damn I was excited to play Koby but since you guys think he's good he's gonna end up trash
Chris u wild my nigga 😂😂
What if sword is only acknowledged by Koby’s ability, keeping it lore accurate as a secret wing of the navy.
I hope Koby isn’t the manga, if he is it better be OG Koby
Wait I actually love this idea
