Outstanding job with the tour. This is one of the best cats you've featured on this channel! It's a case in point of the possibilities that would be out of the question in a monohull.
FIRST ! :-) Nice a Big, turn some of the bedroom spaces into a home office, add a sat uplink, and you have the perfect work from home office. Yacht makers continue to keep making TOYS when they should see their ships as TOOLS - to Fulfill all the needs of the family on board. A workbench, home office, gym, and sleeping, dining and relaxing area. A family should feel at home living aboard for months at a time...
EXCELLENT points. I feel a 50'+ Cat is better as a second home(with W/D included, and solar panels to avoid running the Gen), instead of a weekend sea-vehicle, where dressed up guests drink champagne and take selfies for the social media. Cat makers should be constructing boats that the whole family(or couples) wants to live in for weeks or months at a time, if not permanently.
Nice tour. You showed everything nicely. I'm normally a fan of Privilege, especially the 510, but that living area seemed, truncated. Only word I can think of. Itmwas kind of like the rest area on a dayboat or racing cat. At least to me it felt that way. Also, the blandness screams out 'charter yacht', but maybe it isn't
Privilege Catamarans are not charter yachts, like Lagoon, or Leopard. They're semi-custom, which means you can almost configure it any way you want. if you look at the privilege channel on youtube, you'll see that the owner of this boat, chose not to have the table in the salon area..along with some other changes..
Beautiful boat. One thing that worries me is the fact electronics and salt water environment don't really get along all that well. All the automation on this boat. Personally I don't have a problem manually operating a light switch or a circuit breaker, I don't need a PLC to do that for me. Just one more thing to break while on passage. I mean seriously have we gotten that lazy? Plus if an I/O module breaks while in a remote part of the world how you going to get that fixed? The average boat owner isn't going to be able to do that. I am an Automation Engineer by profession and when just one thing changes in an I/O card that requires a new configuration load to the system. I'm pretty sure the manufacture doesn't supply you with the software to do so. A lot of these system components are not plug and play like you think. So if your current output card that controls nav lights and other important stuff is version 1 and the replacement card in your onboard spares is Rev 2 it's not going to work with out a configuration change/download to the CPU. Wonder if you can order this yacht with out all the fancy automation? Deploying sails and other functions can be accomplished with simple relays which are easy to replace.
The tour is amazing The cat is obsolète The designers seems to skip LIVING ON BOARD Not for a week For a year like a family Exemple where is the big fridge like in a house????😮😮
Is not slow at all the oposite it give me a surprise on that aspect, to compare this cat to a Balance is like compare a Maybach to a Ferrari… they are diferent concepts, this is a arround the world cat, capable on make easy 10-12 kts no in my opinion no need for more, most of the time i single handle it…

Terrible view out of the front windows, they are way too high.

Looks like a S7 PLC in the electrical panel with HMI
beautiful but very slow
I think he's referring to the sailing performance of the very heavy condomaran.
@@LoanwordEggcorn I don't think the boat is that slow.
@@CatamaranChannel It weighs almost exactly twice as much as a longer Balance 526, so it's not going to be a speedster.

16.8 tonne light ship. It is twice as heavy as a performance cat. Doubt it will sail in winds under 10 knots. May as well just be a motor boat.
What a waste of space. No interior nav station either.
