would you recommend this mic also for recording music? specifically singing vocals? I'm looking for a good mic for gaming, podcasting, and singing on the side.
Hi, I just bought this mic, in fact I bought two and both of them have horrible interference humming noise. It was changing when I move mic arround the table. It was very loud when I use jack right on the mic. I also tried it only with my phone in different room and it was still there. Is it something this mic does to you to? or it is just my bas luck. Also both of the boxes I bought was very clearly returned before by someone, even tho I bought them as new, maybe because of this issue? I am not sure if I should return it and try again or just give up on this mic.
Dynamic mics with a cardioid or super cardioid are great for streaming as it does not pickup sounds around you. Also as a broadcast mic, visuals are as important as the sound imo if you are streaming with a Cam which is why this mic is a great package to me. Also these pre amps are the same ones on their 600 USD Procaster 2 and sound sooo much better than the MV7 in usb or XLR mode. MV7 has a worse XLR port tthan the MV7x. Only other good lower cost options would be the Samson Q9u which is 150 ish, but then you lose out on onboard processing and the mixing software + you done get a fancy pop filter and shock mount.

What was your windows volume settings for the mic?
Is it possible to use the advanced audio settings with a rode podmic usb?
I can't understand why these microphones don't have the button to control the volume on the microphone itself

I have this mic and really like the sound it produces. I am disappointed that RODE does not support macOS with the Unify software.
