Is there a place to cliff jump from on the island? I thought I saw video of people jumping off what looked like a 20 foot cliff on this island. Can you pitch a tent off the tent pads if you have more than 2 tents or is it against the rules?

Yea there are rock structures where you can jump off into the water. Secondly, if you have more tents than available tent pads perhaps rent a lager site dunno....but you CAN pitch off of a tent pad but generally you shouldn't. I have before lol - like if your tent is LARGER than the provided tent pad ect

Did you try fishing from the dock at night for Walleye or the East side of the Island ?

I have fished from the island...both the dock and East side of the island but no such luck. Of course I suppose it doesn't help that I regularly snorkel those areas lol. Also, there is a tiny island just to the north and west (not the tiny, round island due north about a 1/4 mile that you're prolly thinking of) where I caught the biggest fish of my life!!!

Approximately how deep is the water at the end of the dock? I'm concerned for the motor prop. ? Is it over an adults head ?

@@markorvik That is a great question and one I have a great answer for you. The water at the end of the dock is always over and adults head yes. In an average year (because the water level varies from season to season) the water is generally 8 to 10ft. But at that campsite the concern you have with your motor is the huge boats that fly by so close there, summarily creating huge waves. Your boat goes way up and down - it is a real problem there. My boat has hit bottom there on occassion when it has been moored the the SIDE of the dock, not the END. I learned that one quickly there at that campsite. The HUGE wakes come in to shore there big time and your boat ROCKS. Take warning of this.

That's good to know. Is there a better alternative area for boat landing 🤔 and still keep an eye on it ?

@@markorvik None....that is the primary landing. However on the south side of the island just opposite the campsit there is a shallow little bay but very rock the to park your boat

We camped here 30 years ago and a Bear chased us out. Wouldn't leave us alone despite how we handled the food. Hope that bastard is dead by now.
