- Over the course of a month, from New York to London to Milan to Paris, let's break down what the ultimate of fashion showcased on the runway and what will be dominated next winter 2023-24 in ten trends.
Bonjour and welcome for the Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2023/2024 Review!
I'm Francesca, a French fashion journalist and fashion video editor specialized in Fashion Week and based in Paris; and this is my up-close and personal review of this Fashion Week Fall Winter 2023/24 edition.
If you are new to this channel welcome and please. let me introduce you my methodology to provide these Fashion Trends reviews I edit after every season of Fashion Week. First things first: you might not be used to the fashion universe, and you have no idea of what a Fashion Week is. Fashion Week is an event during which top fashion designers and fashion houses unveil their collections for the upcoming seasons in a series of runway shows and presentations to buyers and media influencing the fashion industry. It is the most important performance of the fashion industry as these collections define the upcoming fashion trends and influence the entire production line of the fashion trade and probably other industries.
To be in a position to define these Fashion Trends Reviews, I scrupulously attend to every sho personally or digitally. New York, London, Milan and Paris, that means more than a thousand shows depending on the season. Then, it is my expertise and experience in fashion which allow me to understand and define the upcoming fashion trends, based on my understanding and knowledge of the evolution of fashion.
This Fall Winter 2023-24 Fashion Week explore the vision of both empowerment and the comfort of a contemporary woman. Through the lens of Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent, Matthew M. Williams at Givenchy, Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga and Nicolas di Felice at Courrèges; the structured tailoring drawing its inspiration from the 80's embodies a feminity conveying an affirmed confidence. Amidst the succession of classical but powerful statement pieces, this Fall Winter 2023-24 Fashion Week unveil plays of refined textures, dramatic proportions and artistic layering balancing between masculinity and feminity, tradition and creativity, delicateness and strength.
What will we be wearing next winter? These are the 10 major trends that stood out from the runway.
Enjoy this Fashion Week Fall Winter 2023-24 Review and please pardon my French accent! - Навчання та стиль
Nothing new under the sun 😁 Loved the 80's the first time and I'm here for it again.
Very good conclusion! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and watching the video!
Haha...so happy I kept my original Maxi Coat from the 70s! Whoop whoop!
Should be a masterpiece! You're going to make some jealous... Thank you for your comment!
YAY! Autumn/Winter clothes are SO MUCH NICER than Summer ones!!
I love your comment, it's very interesting, it's so true that fall/winter collections are more interesting. Thank you for watching 😃
Turns out those zoom meeting no pants mistakes were not mistakes after all… they were just ahead of the fashion trend.
Thank so much for your comment. I love it! It can't be more perfectly said.
Haaahaaa....LOL.
BOW- WE LOVE IT. No Pants - too old. Leather - always love when winter embraces it. Pants and skirts - challenging for me to nail it. thank you for your video❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your comment! and letting know what you do and don't like! I truly appreciate it! I love hearing your thoughts! Thank you so so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Amoungst the most globally acceptable collections I've ever seen. Brilliantly done.❤
Thank you so much for your comment!
You have my eternal gratitude for calling it Tartan. That is the proper term for the pattern. A plaid is an article of clothing, like a large scarf. Thank you! Also, some of these trends are lovely rehashes of the 80's and I am loving it! Was there for the first time, am here for this time.
Thank you so much for your very kind comment! I love it! It's me to thank you for such a constructive and interesting comment! It's so nice to talk with someone who is very interesting and interested in 😃
Great video! I can see myself wearing a lot of existing pieces of my wardrobe, that also work with my retro style.
Thank you so much for your very nice comment! Thank you for taking time to watch the video! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I truly appreciate it!
Absolutely beautiful fashion show. All designs absolutely perfect.
Purses carried upside down.❤❤❤ love the colors and coats❤❤❤❤handbags.❤❤❤Ready for Fall❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your very nice comment. I love to hear what you love. Also love the purses carried upside down, such an attitude! ❤️
Well, I can truly wear my husbands blazers this fall.❤
I love this comment! 😃 Great idea! 😃 Thank you for your comment, and watching 😃
What’s ever in the thrift store from the older generation dead and their wardrobe being thrown out is what’s going to trend….
Thank you for your comment! Perfectly said!
Absolutely Gorgeous ❤️❤️❤️
i like the idea of skirts over pants but i'm not walking around in a speedo any where but the beach/pool
Thank you so much for your comment! I love your comment!
It's not really like the 80's though, is it? Those shoulders were high, not nearly as broad, maybe 1" or 1.5 " from the natural shoulder line. They emphasized, or created, a small waist. These are a good 5"-6" wider. I like the look on Saint Laurent leather jackets and maxi coats, but then again, they were designed with purpose: to elongate. Monster shoulders with no thought, ties, skirts with trousers: these are all simply jumping on the Trans Bandwagon. I pass.
Thank you for watching and thank you so much for your comment! This is totally correct! Thank you so much for such a constructive comment! Saint Laurent expanded shoulders to 52 centimeters, 10 centimeters wider than usual, Anthony Vaccarello said, and as you said, Stella McCartney said it is to focuse the silhouette on the waist. 😉
Totally agree…so boring it all has been done before….
Saint Laurent. Широкие и высокие плечи,где женственность ? Опять визуально маскулинность ! Женщина каждый рас напоминает « и баба и мужик, и коня остановит и в горящую избу войдёт ».
My goodness, that Alexander McQueen collection is spectacular!
Thank you so much for your comment! I totally agree! Spectacular!
Super pour les conservatrices qui ne jettent pas les belles pièces 👍🏻 pas besoin d’acheter 🤣
Et ce sont les meilleures pièces en général. 😃 Merci pour le feedback 😃
Absolutely beautiful. What a stunning line of fashion, fun and Fabulocity! Long live clothes!
Thank you so much for your very nice comment!
You created a really well put together video!! I was reminded of a yellow maxi trench coat I had in the late 80s!!! I wore that thing endlessly! Good fashion times!!
Thank you so much for your very nice comment. I can understand you wore this yellow maxi trench coat must endlessly, definitely a fashion masterpiece!
Beautiful great nice style thank you merci beaucoup gretings scharing and scharme wonderful
Love it all! Great video. Bring on the big shoulders...big everything. I hate minimalism. More is more. The 80-90s were the best years of fashion.
Thank you very much for your constructive comment. Totally agree this is a great time of fashion.
Great rustic colours and textures to go well with heavier autumnal scents like No 5, Chanel.. and Miss Dior..
Thank you for your interesting comment! I know these two perfumes very well and I can see the very very nice combination indeed! Thank you for the idea!
Love the exaggerated shoulders, very 1890, 1940, 1980, and star trek too
Thank you so much for watching the video! ❤️ and thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! I love hearing what you do and don't like, it's so interesting 😃😃😃
💫 THANK YOU VERY MUCH 🌺
Thank you very much for your comment!
I liked some of the tartan coats and some of the bows. I love seeing a grand exhibition of clothing as art.
Thank you so much for your comment! and thank so much for sharing what you liked! I love to heat what you do and don't like!
Beautiful clothes but the music is what does it for me! Kudos to the band and to the producers of the set and concept! Both are outstanding and almost outshine the rags…
Thank you so much for your comment. I love your comment as I'm editing a video about the fashion shows... Totally agree that the production of the set can completely outstand a collection.
Love the trenchcoat
Thank you so much for your comment and letting know what you love. Very nice choice! Love it!
Ugh!!!! I feel bold shoulders and OVERSIZED blazers is so “been there done that”. What’s the trick for making it look fresh and modern ? I appreciate your work ❤
Thank you very much for your constructive comment. I love hearing what you do and don't like. I appreciate your comment ❤️
I'll be interested to see if the "no pants" trend catches on. I think I'll stick with a trench coat. :)
Thank you for your constructive and interesting comment. I'll be interested too! Let's wait and see 😉 Very nice choice for the trench-coat. 😃
Thanks❤
Thank you so much for your nice comment ❤️❤️
YESSS SKIRTS ON PANTS 💗💗💗

Worth the watch
Thank you so much for your very nice comment! Thank you for taking time to watch the video and letting a comment! I truly appreciate it! Thank you so much!
Back to the 80s and early 90s. Also the muted neutral colors remind me of NYC in the 90s. Just saw a video of Carolyn Besette Kennedy - sans the wide shoulders the colors and style she wore in the 90s remind me of what's on the runway today. Saving grace - no shredded jeans or slovenly stuff and no cut out shoulders. Oh that people would burn all that looks like they had been mauled by a bear. I yearn for anything that looks timeless and classic.
Whu-What? I thought current Fashion trends celebrated 'ALL' Body Types. Where? Where? Where are the Fatties? And Linda? Christy? Cindy and Naomi? Where are THEY? Great assembly of fashion trends featured. I'm not much on the colours- black, brown, white/ivory are all colours implicitly anarchic. Is this truly indicative of the times? A hard 'Maybe' on that. But great work production here Francesca. Very Insightful choices regarding trends. Well chosen. Well done. Bravo!
Thank you so much for your comment! I truly appreciate your constructive comment and thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Trench coats are heavy cumbersome and the belts another thing to lose really challenging to make them look great some of these designs are fabulous
Thank you so much for your comment and your thoughts about the cuts and designs.
Love the music❤❤❤❤great show❤❤
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts ❤️❤️❤️
OMG, recently discovered your channel, great content!!!
Thank you so much for your so lovely comment!
Gracias. Me encanta tu recopilación y opiniones.
Thank you so much for your very nice comment! I appreciate!
Being somewhat of a fashionista, a few pieces of these collections are staples, classic with design modified to suite the house of and/or collections of the line....... Some of the trench coat offered ,have a Bogart style with feminine lines........
Thank you.....
Thank you so much for your comment and sharing your thoughts. It's very interesting and constructive, I simply love your reference to Bogart.
Thank you 😊
Thank you very much for your comment 😃
Thank you for great overview!
Thank you so much for your very nice comment! I really appreciate it!
Fantastico❤
Thank your very nice comment! I truly appreciate it! ❤️
Interesting. Ready for shoulder. Finally tartan looks fresh. Always love a good trench, newness is the placed print, I love it. The skirt over pants will transition as dress over pant. I do not see the No pant look anywhere. And even though I dislike bows, I see it as a great casual tee shirt detail as a distressed bow . Wishing everyone in 2024 to be radiant.
Thank you so much for your comment and taking time to share your thoughts. I love hearing what you do or don't like. No pant look anywhere. . Bows are not my favorite but that's a totally great idea, I can see the look!
Extremely Useful tips. Thank for your effort dear. Good luck. I am looking for your next content dear.
Thank you so much for your very nice comment and support. The big four fashion weeks and videos are coming... 😃

LA haute couture formidable
Thank you so much for your formidable comment!
Ooh, la la, a black; leather trench coat!
I can see the look! Very very nice choice! Thank you so much for your comment! I love hearing what you loved 😃
Love these looks, even though exaggerated for the runway. I have worn all of these over the years, even no pants (only at the beach🤣). There’s nothing like a feminine woman who can carry off a touch of masculine accessories. Most of us would look better with even the slightest bit of shoulder pad.
Thank you so much for your comment. I love it, interesting, constructive and funny 😃
Oui pour une cravate mais customisée avec des perles ou des diamants ou des broderies, portable comme un bijou.
J'aime beaucoup l'idée ! Excellent stylisme !
Todas tão lindas
Thank you so much for your lovely comment ❤️❤️❤️
Love this! Thank you
Thank you for watching and thank so much for your nice comment 😃

The 80s are back baby. Don't throw anything away.
Thank you for your comment. The best is vintage indeed!
Greatness is starting with the thread turn into fabric turn into perspective of a perfect fashion find
Thank you so much for your comment! I love it! This is so nicely said!
I miss MODELS! Forget the robots and bring back the real deal!! Models who can rock the catwalk.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Have you seen the video on the top 10 models Fall/Winter 2023/24 on the channel, I would love to hear if you got a favorite ones 😃
Love Alexander McQueen😍
Thank you so much for your comment! Very very very good choice and taste 😍
Love it! What is the song 14.20 ? I like 😊
Love it too! It's Divergent, Ooyy ua-cam.com/video/ceyuxFv71hU/v-deo.html 😃
Thank you for the informations. Something I've noticed is the monochromatic look. Are coloured prints out of fashion?
Thank you for taking time to watch the video and thank you for taking time to leave your comment. Monochromatic indeed, maybe colored prints will be back soon... but I didn't see them yet at Haute Couture in Paris....
Emperor look. Obviously they don’t fly commercial😂
Thank you so much for your interesting comment!
Trend #1 - Bold Shoulders, aka BOULDERS.
I love this! Thank you so much for your comment! Boulders! I love it!
Its a merry go around
Thank you so much for your comment. I love hearing what you think about this season.
Wearing glittery panties instead of trousers is surely for runways or celebrities? No normal person could dress like that. 😂
Or influencers as seen during Haute Couture in Paris...
👏👏👏🙏 ♥️
❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your comment ❤️❤️❤️
I love the no pants look! We called his hot pants back in the 70s, but you have brought it up to this century!! I love your work, your effort, and your beautiful results. Thank you. What a wonderful show!
Thank you so much for your very nice comment! I really appreciate your very nice comment! Thank you for teaching it called hot pants back in the 70s, love it!
I will skip the bold shoulder trend. Trench coats never get out of style. Seems like I am ahead one season this time combining three trends since I bought a brand new trench style tartan woolen coat. Just kidding. I am looking forward to more tartan items. Also the skirt on pant ist one of the styles that I occassionally use for the last twenty years. Nothing new then.
Thank you so much for your comment. I love hearing what you do and don't like. It looks like you're so visionary and ahead of the trends indeed😃
@@francescaprianonneutre It was just a coincidence, thank you for your presentation of the designer´s vision for 23/24. I think that we all can grab the item of every year´s fashion that we currently like the most. have a good day.
Well I’m going to shop my mother in law’s closet 😃
Thank you so much for your comment.❤️ That's a great idea! 😃😃😃
Top Top Top
Thank you so much for your very nice comment! You are top top top! 😃
I can not find music from this video. I need it in my playlist😢
❤
Broad shoulders and trench coats are good, but maxi coats dragging on floor are impractical. No pants? Bizarre.
Thank you so much for watching the video 😃 and thank you so much for your feedback 😃 it's so interesting to hear from you and your favorite or dislike 😃 Totally agree! 😃
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your comment ❤️
Belíssima
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. I love to hear your feedback.
Who is the designer starting at 22:33? Neon yellow and black tiger print dress at 22:22?
Thank you very much for your comment. At 22:33, Skirt on pants trend, it's Off-White.
I am in my 50s and definitely have seen these looks redone through the decades. This is 80's inspired. Love the oversized fur, but, draging the floor is not functional, it will get filthy dirty. The leather pants and skirts are always good. The large shoulderpads make even the thinest woman look big. Either way I love fashion and like seeing somethings resurge.
Thank you so much for your constructive comment! I so love to hear what you do and don't like! Your thoughts are so interesting!
😍😍😍🙏🙏
Thank you so much for your very nice comment! 😄😄😄
Maxi coats - ok . Leader dresses - ok . Vice bags - ok . That’s it with me ..
Thank you so much for your comment. I love to hear what you love, it's very interesting. 😃

YEAP - Like the biggest Trends for women men
Post apocalyptic clothing. The weight of all those layers and shoulders!

Thank you so much for your comment. 😃
I say no to bold shoulders. Nothing like the slight shoulder pads of the eighties.
Thank you so much for your comment! I love to hear what you do and don't like! 😃
The bold shoulders reminds me of the 80's only it's even worse this time... ugh! it won't last long. Trench coats are classic and always appropriate if they don't have big shoulders, that is. Leather is always wonderful. Beautiful lingerie is always great as long as it's kept in the bedroom and never worn out in public. Tartan... always fantastic... Skirts over pants... could be fun for a tall lady... the "no pants" look is just plain stupid... no bows are better than big bows...
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, and sharing what you liked and don't, it's very interesting and I love hearing about it, your analysis is very interesting and I just love the last phrase, it's perfectly said!
@@francescaprianonneutre thanks for your response to my thoughts, probably, some of my view is because I am only 55 inches tall so I am limited in what I can wear myself. I love fashion and I am a couture trained seamstress. I work in pure silks, cottons, and 100 year old laces to re-create clothing from the 1800's. I earn my living with this work.
