    This is exactly what I was looking for. I have the very same table saw and, needless to say the very same accuracy problems. Gonna watch carefully. Thank you!

    I learned more about how to use tools from this guy than I would watching 12 other videos!

    I put a new top and fence on mine, I scribed a line right across from the blade as a reference datum. I also used a over centre clamp and French cleat system on the fence -all work well.

    Don't forget your riving knife! Make room for it on your new zero-clearance cut. Using the table saw without it is asking for trouble, as you probably know.

    Good idea and execution but a very bad quality of the plywood used., it would be better a phenolic plywood.

    One thing you should never do is on your first pass go so deep?
    You will burn your router bit out in know time.

    Bad Idea useing chip board will warp in time as it will draw in dampness.
    Far better use good ply wood..

    Jjrlamas its not plywood if you look careful at the wood chipings you will see it is chip board.

    Should never ever ever go full depth on your first pass with a router

    • @mitch3384
      @mitch3384 Рік тому

      Agree. It should never be at a depth where you have to force it through a cut.

    nice, only problem is that you lost some cut depth.

    Why would you want to put a chipboard top on machine

    • @Wen6543
      @Wen6543 2 роки тому +3

      It´s cheap, bigger area, you can screw fences, etc. for special projects and warp problems are practically insignificant. The original tops of this cheap machines are too thin so they can warp too much ruining even the basic cuts and the only option is to replace them.

      Personally I would have gone with plywood, that would have been a better option in my opinion, but if its not readily available to you then I think you've done a good job using what you have 😊

    chipboard is the worst possible material to use as a table top...it will absorb moisture and warp ....you are wasting your time
