3:01--The song used to introduce the bachelorettes is "Orange Colored Sky," a hit for Nat "King" Cole and written by Milton DeLugg, Chuck Barris's bandleader.
Game 2, took her a while to get it, but this reply from #1 had to be the cleverest, most honest thing ever for a guy to say, if I were a woman I'd put on a suit of armor, knowing myself a man, before a date, to protect myself lol
I like that game show is called: The All New Dating Game host Elaine Joyce is the best ever. When I was live in West Lanham Hills-Hyattsville, MD on WRC channel 4 in Washington, DC. Since, I watched On 📺. When I was 21 years old as well!!! - Krista Venise Jones
This program now was what, 36 years ago? Wonder what this British playboy bunny girl is doing now? Wonder if the guy she chose continued to see each other and it bothered him (after the novelty wore off?) that she was working as a Playboy Bunny?
I love Elaine Joyce and think she is gorgeous. But I thought she was terrible as a game show host on this show. Jeff McGregor was much funnier naturally.
She was terminated, for both reasons: 1) They have berefted some of the words or phrases she was supposed to say on a cue card - 2) Having a female hostess for the show, was the suggestion of Chuck Barris's, in order to replace Jim Lange (who was committed to hosting "The $1,000,000 Chance of A Lifetime"), when it wasn't good enough --- so, they went back to the male host of the show, and found a younger, unfamiliar guy to take over, who happened to be Jeff MacGregor, and they updated the theme which needed to sound more masculine, and the lighting was also changed to emphasize the gray in the set, trying to hide the feminine touches... the set later got a more neutral white look. BTW, this is the 1st episode, of the 2nd round, where time was short @ 16:45.
We auditioned two candidates for host for the “All New Dating Game” around 1986. Elaine Joyce and one of the few female standup Comedians, Elayne Bossler at the time. I my opinion, Bossler would have been a better choice for the position. Joyce ultimately was selected based on her gleaming generalities. Working on the show for several seasons was a blast in the 80’s. Great memories❤ Jeff McGregor was brilliant as a host.
@@lajuanhall7345 Hey Ms. Hall. I saw your name during some credit rolls. A few questions for you as an insider: how long did you work for Chuck Barris Productions, which shows have you worked on, and on a slightly different note, what happened to Jeff MacGregor after TANDG ended? He seemed poised for TV stardom but I never heard much about him after this show
@@lajuanhall7345 Elayne Boosler was auditioned? Sounds like an interesting choice to consider. Though we'll never know how she would have done on here, she did eventually host a game show, "Balderdash", which aired on cable channel PAX from August 2004 to February 2005.
I miss the 80s so bad!! (I hate now, 2023).
My goodness, what a dream trip the first couple were awarded!!
& Also again. I would like to watch this Dating Game from 1986 to early 1987 with Elaine Joyce more episodes as well too!!! - Krista Venise Jones

I always wanted to see an episode where the guy/girl chooses all three
Bachelor one never had a chance
KCOP had the best 2 hour block of game shows that let to the 8:00 movie every weeknight.
I worked as a crew member with the production company in the 80’s. Constance, Jamie, Shalom and Robert were one my favorite set of contestants!
What was it like to work on a show like that?

Wonder if the first couple dated after their trip to France!!
Why she keeps holding her nose? Lol 😅
I’ve never seen this.

One question that I don't think we'll ever know: Why was Elaine Joyce replaced with Jeff MacGregor?

Chuck Barris sold his production company in March 1987, which may explain the change of hosts.

#3 is the youngest of 13 CHILDREN???????????!!!!!! GEE WHAT A SURPRISE
What is that supposed to mean?
Elaine was so annoying
This game would be better if the woman guest got to see the male contestants before the has to choose between them.
Most of these ladies would run for the door.
Joyce looks good but sounds as e.pty and vapid as the 80s
I ALWAYS LIKED HER
