- We are super excited to be in Rio and visiting this marvellous city which is full of twists, waves, sophistication and an abundance of beauty. After 10 years, we are back and in this video we explored the most famous tourist attractions of Rio de Janeiro. We started the tour with the famous to the famous statue of the christ, Christ the Redeemer, which one of the 7 wonders of the world and is located on top of the Corcovado hill inside of the national park of Tijuca. On the way down the hill and to out next stop, we also stopped to take pictures of a famous favela in Rio called favela morro dos prazeres just to take pictures. Next stop was the famous football stadium in Rio called Maracana which is unique since it is the only football stadium in the world that has hosted 2 FIFA world cup finals; one in the 1950 and another one in 2014. After the stadium we visited another place which is also known worldwide due to the famous Carnival that takes place in Rio every year. We visited Sambadrome that is the location where the carnival takes place and then headed to the metropolitan cathedral of Rio. After the cathedral we passed by another famous structure called Arcos da Lapa which is a structure that was built in the middle of the 18th century to bring the water to the city of Rio. Next stop was Escadaria Selarón. This place is out of this world with so many people visiting the tiles that have covered a long staircase. The area surrounding the staircase is also very nice and full of shops. In one of those shops, we did Cachaça tasting which was very interesting!! The last stop was at the sugar loaf and going up the hills via cable cars. The view of the city from the top of those 2 hills is absolutely breathtaking and once again reminds you that there is no other city that can match the beauty of Rio. We absolutely enjoyed our visit and hope that you also enjoy the video :)

Very nice, but actually this bay is called Enseada de Botafogo, a small cove inside the huge Guanabara (2nd biggest bay in Brazil). Guanabara's entrance is actually right behind the Sugar Loaf, where the Portuguese named the city thinking it was a river mouth. Glad u enjoyed.
