Personally not my taste. I've seen some on Suitsupply and didn't care for it. I guess I prefer to dress down the safari jacket and make it more casual.

I like a 36S contemporary in their suits but I tried 36 and 38 in one of their parkas and they both felt a little small. A little hesitant to buy some of these lighter outwear pieces due to sizing. I do. If you have time, search my channel for Spier and Mackay content. I have a lot on their jackets. I do a 38 contemporary and am in between 38 and 40 (I can also wear 40 slim, but it's slightly large in the shoulders). 38 contemporary is somewhat fitted in the waist, chest, and shoulders, but the first two can be let out a bit by the tailor (I haven't bothered though). Best advice I have is to look at their measurement charts and compare to what you own that fits well. If you are in the US/Canada returns aren't bad, but if in other parts of the world I can see why you might hesitate.
I just found your channel and like your videos BUT your audio is terrible. I see you have a mic but seems like it’s not adjusted right or maybe you need to make post edit fixes. Great videos tho
It's what I call retro or vintage audio. Just kidding. I think the newer vids are somewhat improved. Been trying various post-processing and mics. Hopefully it is being ironed out.

Not really as it's impossible to close up the existing buttonholes cleanly, though if one doesn't mind that then yes.

That is Bellisario one-piece collar, MTO. They have good customization at a decent price.
You state the size is a Medium 38, but I notice that the current offerings show 38 as Small. Do you know if they have changed their sizing?
Not sure. Probably the best approach would be to check the measurement chart to see which is closest to something that fits you well.

Would this jacket too hot to wear in summer?
Just as much as any other jacket. In other words, it's supposed to be for summer but wouldn't be needed if it were more than 75F.
I just got one in brown linen the shoulders and length is good but fit is preaty bad
