Thank you for closing with a dedication to Dennis Casebier. When I was just a young troop I worked with Dennis. He was a genuinely nice person, and loved the desert. I’m certain that his spirit continues to thrive in the Mojave.
Thank you for making a very quintessential well done tour of the EMHT. Thank you so much for highlighting it. I am a member of the MDHCA and thank you for the publicity.
Well Done! I grew up in Anaheim and we had 10 families do similar adventures in late 70’s and early 80’s. This vid brought back a flood of memories. Live in Northern Cali now. I got a hankering to get a trip goin. THANK YOU😊
you guys are doing great and for us this is one of the best channels for overlanding trials..actual overlanding trails. I wish you had more info though on the trail itself as it seems you really went pretty fast here and for us we have a Off grid trailer which can handle anything. But Overlanding with this awesome trailer it is different than just driving a truck or Jeep so more info on trail conditions, airing down sections, obstacles or areas that maybe a little more difficult. Maybe asking too much but I think this channel and website will really take off
Just found your channel. I absolutely love it. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us. Very informative. I am now subscribed. ❤stay safe out there. 😊
Nice video, I'll be checking out your other videos. Hadn't heard of this one till I came across your video and from what I've seen here the first section won't be a problem for our off roading hardside truck campers. Many of us had wander what had happen to the yellow bus on the Mojave Road now I have the answer.
And just like that, Nipton has been sold. It was sold a few days ago to the company that puts on Absinthe and a few other circus shows in Las Vegas. Their plan is to turn it into a circus town attraction, along with a training/workshopping center for circus performers.
always with the quality content and enjoyable even if one isn't going to these not-so-well-known spots. Love the track used at around 7:10-- who's it by?
I'd recommend joining our community forums on our website. Great place to ask a lot more questions. If I was driving from the East Coast with limited time, I'm not sure Mojave Road or the EMHT would be at the top of my list, also depends when you're traveling.
Dennis Casebier would like that! His original plans were to make the Mojave road a backpacking route, but after hiking it, he wasn't sure there were as many crazy people out there as him and decided to turn it into a vehicles guided tour.
Both love and hate the content... I love the area and the remote escape from people and hate how I am finding the amount idiots have been on the rise, people leaving trash and not properly dealing with the remnants of their remote camping toilets. I fear too much exposure will ruin the experience.
The vast majority of the track runs through the Mojave National Preserve, so it makes sense. Dennis worked closely with the original LEOs back in the 80s and 90s, so not much of a surprise, and MDHCA continues to work closely with them. Markers for the EMHT will be going up later this year.
Jack!! Where are the gussets on all those failure points on your trailer?? You're supposed to make it for overland travel, not a Saturday trash trailer.

Billy has been doing fantastic things since becoming prez! Much respect to him.

Fantastic video 🎉
Awesome run! Will check it out with your GPX files.
Great videos! Thanks for shooting/editing and posting!
Great video as always, Ben! We certainly missed out on the best parts. Just means we have to go back.
Cool video, narration and editing excellent, well done.
Excellent work Ben, really enjoyed it
Awesome film, thanks for sharing!
Well done, thanks for presenting a glimpse of the Mojave for those of us unable to join the adventure.
Yeah, I drive I15 regularly, but my Hyundai Sonata is not leaving paved roads.
Awesome footage!

Great content! Interested in doing this trail! Subscribed and saved.
Everyone remember to pack out what you pack in
100% always!!
Such an awesome trip, makes me want to get back out there. Great vid!
Excellent.

Saw that yesterday!! The desert thrives on weirdness, so I'm hoping it works out, and hopefully they open up part of the grounds to the public.
Great video. Now on my list. Where did you refuel at along the way?
Fenner, not recommended! I think I paid 8.99 for diesel-- ooooffff
Can you please more info. in the 1st gen Tacoma?
Great video, did you run into anything you would consider 4x4 only? Looks doable in 2wd only...
Probably is doable in 2nd…But remember, the desert can be dry and dusty one minute, and muddy with flash floods the next!
@joedevito9459 oh I understand, thanks...

How much ground clearance do you need for this trail?
Any tight areas where you “pinstriped “ your truck?
Yup, get a full size rig and pinstriping comes with the territory. You'll end up with your fair share on the EMHT.
Hoping to make it west with my FJ soon from the East Coast. Mojave is on my list. Is this or Mojave road more worth it?

@@OverlandTrailGuides will do! Not much on the East Coast right now that i cam afford at least! Expensive guided trips
typo on the years Dennis lived. you probably meant to say 1934-2021?
Yes!!
It looks like fun I'm going to go fast packing on it.

@@OverlandTrailGuides trust me there are lots of crazies out there lol
RIP Dennis Casebier. At -13 years old, you had done much in your impossibly short life, and died impossibly young.
Amazing, isn’t it? Yes, the occasional mistake does make it through editing, but that doesn’t change Dennis’ legacy 😁

that for d needs some new tires that passenger front tire is worn out
Strobe lights..why ?
I am saddened to hear that the National Park Service has their hands in the East Mojave Heritage Trail.

HOLY CRAP, Butt Coals??? what a great idea
How do you keep your pup from getting Chollaed? I bring my Malinois and he hasn't learned, I keep shoes on him but he still will find the devil balls.
