- Workers Party MP George Galloway made a key intervention in the parliament on Friday when he pointed out how a minister was trying to do away with the established practice of giving legitimate ministerial answers to questions posed by the parliamentarians.
Galloway’s intervention left MPs in splits.
Every time l see these parliamentary clips, l ask myself why are any of these people being paid anything.?
The SNP try to serve the people of Scotland but we are ignored in there or shouted down.Scotland has no voice in that place.
@audreymcgready4329 no one has a voice my friend !!! the agenda already playing out .
@@audreymcgready4329 Scotland is their own country
Would get a lot worse MPs if they aren’t paid
The majority of politicians are criminal parasites and nothing more.
Perhaps the Rochdale City Council should've consulted with Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew on the Child Grooming Matter.
Who else if not the subject matter experts. It's never too late.
Jimmy was only in Leeds I am pretty sure he could have fixed it for them
perhaps they did!
And the fact that they were all Muslims, a fact Galloway didn't mention. Must have slipped his mind.
@@Psmith-ek5hq So are YOU blaming him for that
The minister didn't answer the question because he couldn't remember what had been said previously. In other words, he doesn't know the distinction between a foreign court and an international court.
Put simply because he's bloody braindead.
All courts are maritime and not of the jurisdiction of England
Very Correct Tories do not know what Law is actually, they think they are above it!

"I can't be arsed answering the question" would probably be allowed by these spineless Speakers. I'd call it a circus but that'd be an insult to the clowns.
The speaker or deputy speaker can't and does not have the power, to intervene on the substance or detail of an answer.
It definitely is allowed, and *must* be allowed! We, the people, decide whether we like or dislike the content of what comes out of our MPs' mouths. And it's our choice to (re-)elect them or otherwise. The Speaker doesn't (and shouldn't) have the power to force an elected representative to say or not say anything.
We the people have the power to vote every five years - that’s all the power we get. We did not choose the pm or other ministers . Our power to influence the conduct of minsters is nearly zero- nothing compared to quangos, big companies, party donations, etc. The speakers role allowing questions to go unanswered would not be tolerated by judges in courts if witnesses gave these kind of “don’t care” answers.
George is one of the most articulate MP in the cesspit called Parliament
And dowden certainly isnt
@@Nick-fg4dq Dowdy Dowden reminds me of looking like an extra from ‘Are You Being Served?’’ - Not sure what the answer to that is….
@@SirKeefyKeef Galloway is articulate, nobody can fault him on that, I do not agree with him on much he says, but he is a man who says what he believes to be correct and sticks to it, as for the Chair she is useless, Dowden's Face always turns my Milk sour!
Jeeez what mushrooms you on galloway is a shit
Shame he's an Islamic convert communist.
Someone should swipe the smirk off her face. The art form of ignoring questions with contempt on subjects of not taking care of people of importance has become the norm. . This is simply shameful behaviour and really tells me that the parliament is as corrupt as ever.
The MPs have to be free to say (or not say) whatever it is that they want to say. It's us, the people, who get to put them in their place (or remove them from it!) - it isn't her job to dictate to my MP what he should say. If people don't like their MPs turning up at the dispatch box and saying "Ditto" then they can, and should, vote them out. The reason the Tories are polling so badly right now is because they're useless and people like you and I can see it from these debates. But censorship or enforced speech is not the job of The Speaker. Their job is simply to keep order and ensure that a debate takes place. They aren't there to aid or assist or disable the MPs at making or not making useful contributions.
The theives have taken over the parliament
@@DeShark88 points for the correct answer. He's made his point, there are political consequences (or not). I'm thinking, given the minister is entirely correct, there won't be. It was an absurd question and he was well within his rights to answer it with an absurd answer.
Well done in speaking up for Rochdale, when you were elected the doubters and supporters of war crimes said you would only be speaking for Gaza. You're a breath of fresh air in that cesspit. Peace for Palestine.
Ridiculous answer yet again from the deputy speaker - who ironically always gives the same denial of responsibility to every point of order. I disagree vehemently with much of George Galloway's views but he was spot on here
Nah, he's nearly always close to the truth, though that's often very uncomfortable.
Unfortunately I find myself agreeing more and more with The Speaker on these matters. The moment the speaker starts to force MPs to say or not say certain things is the moment that our representatives lose their voice and lose the ability to represent their constituents. If the MP is not doing a good job, then their constituents can let this be known at the ballot box. This is how our democracy works and has worked for hundreds of years.
Amazing how empty this parliament is!
Lots of lazy MPs (not) there! 😏
Pun intended?
Yes the others are in the bar getting sloshed on their Zionist money.
@@oneoflokis Exactly. It's called refusal to work. ☺?
it has become a feature of recent times, it is by design, to undermine serious debate, by paying M.P's HANDSOMELY to stay away.
The inner circle wishes to inform the vast of MPs not to attend the house as your opinion is neither required or valued.
That deputy speaker gives me the heebie jeebies. She seems so pompous, so self-important...but what a load of mince she waffles. Can people in these positions not just speak clearly and simply (and in a language that folk can at least understand) so that the average listener might actually follow what they're saying and doesn't end up frustrated? She seems centuries out of date...and don't get me started about Hoyle!
I completely understood what she said. That it was not a matter for the chair tho she agrees with him
It was very clear to the rest of us.
Perhaps such deliberate evasion on the part of ministers in answering an MP 's perfectly legitimate question SHOULD be a matter for the Speaker . Otherwise what is their purpose and what happens to ministerial accountability to THE PEOPLE'S ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES ? ? @@gothicgolem2947
What is a matter for the chair. what a waste of space that woman is.
What of if it was answered many times but some MP weren't present?
Good one George. Him and John McDonnell are the best ones out there at the moment.
Zarah Sultana and Mhairi Black too.
yep.
One has to wonder why MPs and the Establishment are so reluctant to investigate , prosecute and put an end to abuse/rape of minors .....
I think in America it's called pleading the 5th
Because they don’t think peadophilia is wrong in any way! That’s why
It’s amazing how empty the house is its only full when they want a pay rise
I applaud you Mr Galloway 👍
Surprised you didnt salute him
@@dlamissor lick his arse
I already have 👍
George Galloway The people of UK 🇬🇧 are with you. Don't let them little snobs get u down. Laughing and looking down on others.
The Rest are All Scum George You’re the best
Don't worry he won't he eats people like that for breakfast.
I'm someone of the uk and I don't recall you speaking for me, I am not with George galloway at all.
George galloway who once stood and bowed in front of sadam hussein and said sir i salute you,,thats what kind of a shit he is should not be anywere near parliment
He is not intrested in the indigenous people of the UK is he?
The speaker talks like a character in Alice in Wonderland...a lot of words, a lot of exaggerated body language, some remarkable facial contortions and no satisfactory answer to the question.
they're trained that way, to bamboozle the masses, in another words, they speak so much and actually say or mean nothing much of relevance.🤔
Exactly I was like just say you ain’t gonna do nothing and move on. It’s like corruption is baked in the cake of our systems. Boy it’s something to watch it’s really like some broadway show pure nonsense and characters and everything. Sad times we are in.
What he said was not really a point of order tho so the answer is it’s not a matter for the chair
i.e. majority of politicians.
A great observation
Well George is always spot on...
Stand up comedy is George's forte. But stand up comedians get paid a lot less than him, although funnier, because we pay his salary, and that's not funny.
@@sammckinstry Yes, but he's a darn sight better than the other parasites in government.
Galloway is just an anti-Semite.
@@sammckinstry At least he doesn't spend it on gak and rentboys.
😂 Yeah sure he is 🤡
Well said George.
Clown show. George galloway is wonderful and shows how awful many of the opposition are. They forget they work for the public.
That's because they are not opposition. And they work for their back pockets from the tax laundry.
No he isn't
They haven't worked for 'the public' in generations. Stop voting, it's pointless.

Why is the HOUSE OF COMMONS EMPTY?
Imagine having a job that you could turn up to if you felt like it????
Anglo saxons and their farcical 'democracy'.
it's the NEW AGE thing, waffle on with claptrap to avoid getting snared in the RAT TRAP.
Then go ahead and design a better system.
I'm half Scottish and half Welsh but this question dodging is not exclusive to "Anglo Saxons". I think you'll find *any* politician in the wrong will resort to these lowly tactics.
What's your suggestion?
How smug and patronising the chair lady comes across, please remember who put you there, the people of 🇬🇧 and have some manners.
I kind of disagree with you. She was effectively, agreeably in a roundabout way, saying George,I agree with you ( especially as I have to listen to this grit over and over) but there is butter all I can do about it ( pardon my censoring). She is no where near as bad as Lyndsey Foil
The people of Britain did not put her on that chair - that is what they want you to believe. They SERVE those who put them there and we know they do not serve the people of Britain
Our once fine Parliament has deteriorated into a total waste of space .
Some of these men and women in the house are just taking up chair room. Thank you George Galloway you are worth every penny you earn, unlike most of the others.
😅😅😅
Why do we have a Parliament paying people for an empty parliament
And who are these people doing these things in Rochdale Mr George? Can't they be rooted out? How has this once proud upstanding city been so corrupted? Who is doing it?
No-go-zone?
Smoll hatters
Maybe change town name to Noncedale?
Coz you’ve been overrun with Pakistanis. It’s as simple as that
One of the grooming gang members was sentenced to 6 years in prison, but was released after 2.5 years, he was supposed to be deported years ago, but is still living in Rochdale. Disgraceful.
“What ministers say at the dispatch box is not a matter for the chair.” Might as well just not be there then
What a load of bull from the deputy speaker!
Very important question as well
Is not a matter for the chair,or the chair doesn't matter.
Well spoken George they hate it when you and Andrew Bridgen stand up, they know it will open a few nasties up that they have purposely avoided or tried to brush under the carpet to save their own sad necks.
Oh FFS don't talk to me about Bridgen He,s off his rocker. There's saner people than him in Broadmoor.
That arrogant minister should most certainly be rebuked - publicly for his manner.
If the question had really been answered previously then the Minister should provide a Hansard reference to the answer supplied previously so that the questioner could assess whether the previous answer was fully fitting as a response to the question posed at the current time.
How very rude and condescending of him to behave in such a manner.
With the amount of "i will get back to yous" they could just do it all online. Well well..
That place is no representative of the common people of the UK for sure.
The parliament is ALWAYS nearly empty ! Unless there is something to be gained by lining their own pockets!!!
Love George Galloway ❤❤❤
In other words MR GALLOWAY,mind your own business,he can say what he wants,he is a Tory minister👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
*Any* MP can say what they want. That's the point. It's not for The (Deputy) Speaker to tell MPs what to say or not to say.
@@DeShark88 we know that,it should be the rules of that building that"everyone will answer questions asked and it should be house policy that the chairperson is in charge and should make the ministers answer,if not it should also be that the minister gets fired"these ppl are voted in by the public to look after our interests not their own,if you represent the public you should be willing to answer to the public not make excuses
@@keithparlour2686 it's a slippery slope. How do you force someone to answer a question? They may not have the answer, the question might be stupid, the answer might endanger someone's life, the answer might have already been given ten times in a given sitting. Are we then to have rules that "a question can only be asked X number of times in a session". This micromanagement of MPs does them a disservice. I leave it to my MP's discretion whether they think I will expect them to answer a question or not.
@@keithparlour2686 your point about deselection is a separate one. The Recall of MPs Act 2015 could be bolstered in my opinion. I agree that recall mechanisms are too weak in this country.
They all know the questions before hand so they should get the answers prepared ready,if they knew their jobs they should have no problem answering anything on it,trouble is most of them are there because they are good mates and arskissers not because they know what they are doin, saying that though, their advisers should be sacked for advising them wrong"on purpose mostly"
George Galloway is always to be found on the moral high ground. I love him and his lovely wife.
they laugh like nobles in the past . they they untouchable they are the best they are the one who succeed .but one day they will all fall and no one will remember them
Now think Rochdale residents, if that was a labour mp, would he be asking for a enquiry into the grooming scandal? Cast your votes wisely.
open up the bag of worms george
Deputy speaker is on the Tories side probably votes for them
Where are everyone else, are they watching from home like us?
If rhe government was to tackle peadophilia it would shut down with the loss of Mps in parliament.
George Galloway, a rebel without a clue!
She is spineless
He got a point. MPs should do better.
Great person will always talk the true😊
But what ministers say madam deputy speaker is certainly a matter to the people who place you lot in your places so think on
Galloway = Legend ❤❤❤❤
A gentleman and a schoalar
The British parliament sounds just like Senate Estimates in Australia, all busy duck fudging the questions. What’s the point of them you may well ask?
Dear George you are my king 👑 yes sir.
He's not my king. My king is Jesus and Charles
You always know when a politician is honourable, most of the other mp’s don’t like what he has to say. George imo is an honest mp
It's a syndicate, above the rule of law. Scandalous, beyond contempt.
not many in attendance i see
Half of them are never in, so maybe they didn't hear the repetitive answers.🙄
How can you be on bail for those charges? When charges are as serious as those and there is enough evidence to go to trial they shouldn't be allowed bail. What if they continue their crimes while free?
If the same questions are being asked repeatedly, surely, it suggests that the answers are poor and no action is being taken on the issue? 🙄
"Not a matter for the Chair." Im afraid nothing seems to be a matter for the chair, ever since Boris Johnson was allowed to treat Parliament with contempt, by the Speaker of the House Lindsay Hoyle 🤡. Well said George Galloway 👏. Unfortunately, these corrupt " Honourable People," of our Government, choose to ignore Mr Galloway at every opportunity.😮😢.
brilliant response from the lady chair as well.
In Rochdale Galloway said ‘I will not be intimidated’, that’s simply because he is on the side of the intimidators!!
And I thought only my country's parliament is a joke, man you guys' parliament is a whole circus 😂
Respect to Galloway tho ✊
Yh he's a 🤡
England is now a Total and Complete Embarrassment to me.

An absolute embarrassment to Scotland
Glad to hear him say that about the disgusting mayors! About time someone called them out.
A parliamentary minister earning the salary of two NHS doctors put together doesn't know the difference between an international court and a foreign court. He simply pretended that they had already answered this question.
A Lion in the Chambers of Cowardice, George Galloway Rochdalian MP for Prime Minister! Thank You!
The gentleman is renowned for calling out the volumes and pungency of bad smells emanating from ruling parties. But have you asked the question about why he will never become a prime minister?

Don't make out its the "Tories" when the racist, systemic rapes of young vulnerable girls was deliberately ignored by Labour because they value being "right on" than young children.
So stop spreading utter tosh when your own side is piss poor
Listen to these fules is like watching a bad episode of ‘Just a Minute’
The only good thing to come out of devolution is that, at least the Scots and the Welsh have dropped the farce of calling each other ‘honourable’
Why are they laughing? So childish.
With so many scandals and parliamentary debating time limited, there's never going to be time to debate them all....🤔
I have a question.
How did he even get in there????
Here's a better question, why is Patrick Grady still allowed in Westminster to ask any questions...?
brilliant George
I usually disagree with George on most things, but his question on Rochdale Mayor was excellent.
NOTHING ! was done then, NOTHING ! is being done now and NOTHING ! Will be done in the future concerning these gangs.
I used to be a Tory voter but I'm now post-politics. What does it say about modern politics that the only people I would now bother voting for have all been ejected from the two main political parties? Galloway is one of them.
…Madam Deputy Speakers response to the point of order was as pathetic as the minister’s non-answer to the question asked of him. What a circus.
Amazing how one honest mp can stir up our parliament
