We stayed for 1 month here. Serene and peaceful place amidst the nature. The warmth and hospitality is beyond words. This homestay is run by a chef Kesang La Lepcha who is a very good chef and cooks delicious scrumptious meals to fill your tummy and soul. Meals are made with organic vegetables sourced from backyard. You get to experience this wooden house with the Warmth and hospitality of this sweet family. A very peaceful place in the lap of nature. If you are looking for some quality time and peace this is a very good option. A must stay place if you are visiting North Sikkim, instead of staying in crowded Gangtok this would be great stopover before Lachen - Lachung. Highly Recommended.
Rooms: There are 2 types of options:
1) Heritage Home-150 yr old wooden house-1room
with 1queen bed and a single bed & 2nd room with 1
double bed.
2)Cemented building structure with 2 rooms and big
lobby. Bed can be added as per requirement.
There's a big ibrary with very good collection.
Nearby activities:
1) You can visit Seven Sisters Fall- it's 3
kms only from the homestay - • Video
2) Can visit Bakcha river. Quiet place to sit and enjoy the
ferocious river, also can do fishing, can do picnic.
3) Kanchenjunga National Park: it's of great historical
importance since Lepcha and Bhutias came to an
agreement here for brotherhood and coexistence.
4) Phensang monastery is just 200-25O mts away. Quite and peaceful place.
5) You can do birdwatching here.
6) Small small treks are there to enjoy the beauty ofthis
place.
7) If you are interested you can do organic farming with
them.
Safety: It's safe here.
Walkability : From Phensang Monastery to homestay the
route is little up and down, incase if you have old parents
with knee issue or any other walking problem then need
to check with the owner before booking.
Noteworthy details: Bathrooms and Toilets are not
attached. There is no problem of water here ike Gangtok.
Pure Organic backyard sourced vegetables and milk.
Internet: no wi-fi available. Mobile hotspot works but
JIOhas some firewalls/ restrictions so many sites were
inaccessible. Airtelis good at some points here. Vodafone
works good.
Hotel highlights: Great view, Quiet, and Great value.
Family Who Travels Together Stays Together. We are a family of three, a couple and a child. We keep travelling by road and love visiting new places. Recently we have travelled from Hyderabad to Himachal Pradesh by road. Stay tuned to travel with us to various Marvels of India.

Yes near the Phensang monastery as shown in the first episode. From there 200-250 mts walk to the homestay.
