- Hi UA-cam Friends, finally, after several months, I managed to record another cover of a great solo from Mr. David: HEY YOU, from THE WALL, Pink Floyd, originally played by David Gilmour.
This solo is a perfect piece of music in my opinion, the orginal one have a lot of tracks all together, perfectly mixed. I decided to do a version in between a Studio and a Live one. All the sounds were done with the Kemper Profiling Amplifier, personally adjusted and directly recorded without any additional processing.

I recorded 3 guitar lines;
1 - the main guitar track (in the video the upper one);
2 - the secondary guitar line that play sustained notes on the third string, starting from B '4th fret' up to A '14th fret' (in the video the lower/right one);
3 - the third guitar line was done with the fantastic Kemper Pitch Shifter, 3 voices: the main, the Octave and the Third above the Octave; I double tracked this track on the left and on the right (in the video the lower/left one).
The Backing Track was played by some friends of mine some time ago...

Grazie mille, mi manca il tempo, ma ne avrei tanti altri da registrare altrettanto buoni ;-) Mi rendo anche conto che poi ogni suono va regolato con il proprio strumento e le proprie mani, difficile che un suono possa essere "traslato" così come è tra diversi musicisti.
Già è vero...per curiosità hai la versione Power o quella normale? Tra il suono registrato come hai fatto qui in scheda audio e quello in cabinet...c'è molta differenza? Io ho speso un patrimonio in pedalini (e ne sono contentissimo perché sono da collezione molti) però ora vorrei anche una soluzione "light" per prove e qualche live di quelli "sottopagati" (cioè la maggior parte)...e il Kemper sembra evolversi abbastanza bene quindi è diventata una seria opzione per me...In bocca al lupo
Considera che i pedalini che hai puoi profilarli sul tuo ampli microfonato e portarli con te nel Kemper, quindi oltre a tenerli per essere da collezione potresti profilarli man mano che ti servono e hai sempre l'originale per avere altre varianti. Io ho la versione NON Power e secondo me non serve, col Kemper, per sfruttarlo al meglio, la soluzione ideale è andare diretti sull'impianto con l'aggiunta di una spia monitor attivo per te (o due) di tipo Full Range da 500 W RMS e SPL superiore a 130 db (tipo Yamaha DXR 10 che è un classico ormai). Io conosco la macchina dagli esordi 5 anni fa, quindi se avessi bisogno di consigli scrivimi pure via mail in privato ;-)
Tra i suoni registrati via scheda audio e quello che puoi sentire sulle casse attive la differenza è data solo dalle differenze costruttive delle casse stesse, come d'altra parte già è quando ascoltiamo un disco su un impianto HiFi o su un altro. Timbri, dinamiche, distorsioni ed effetti restano ovviamente molto fedeli, inoltre sulle uscite della macchina c'è una EQ globale che serve proprio per ritoccare il sound prima che vada sulla cassa finale per ovviare a differenze timbriche tra una cassa e l'altra ;-)

Good cover but adjust vibrato with tempo of the song. Slower songs have a longer, wider vibrato

+Bob cortes (REBIRTH) Yeah, I still have the Boss GT-10 but in the last years I switch over a super-quality multieffect digital processor. It's the Kemper Amp and the quality is just like real amp, it's a jewel of the new digital technology ...
