"Really can pierce tank armor" "can pierce armor up to 35mm thick." A ww2 sherman had a frontal plate between 71 and 170mm, and an abrams has 1000mm equivalent. I don't think they know the difference between a tank and a truck.
Dudes operating anti-tank rifles back then were trained to hit side armor and rear armor. And when tanks got heavy enough, they were trained to hit lighter vehicles or tank optics
I believe you are missing the point about some of these. The punt gun was for commercial bird hunting. The .50BMG pistol was about demonstrating a recoil mitigation system. The .600 Nitro revolver was to show the designers and builders abilities. Also, for most of the large caliber weapons made in the U.S. Because,,,,,,,," MERICA!!!!!!!"
Missed one: Mk-19. Automatic Grenade launcher. Shoots 40mm HEDP (High-Explosive Dual-Purpose) or HEAT (High-Explosive Anti-Tank) grenades. The grenades are similar to the M203 grenade launcher. It can shoot up to 60 rpm with a 32-round belt.
The punt gun was used for commercial waterfowl hunting. When you're depending on the birds to feed your family and pay your bills want to take out as many in 1 shot as possible.
Childhood favorite. I miss the 90's lol After watching that in 1st grade, I avoided walking on the sand and hopped rocks when I could. Basically, the floor was lava, but outside lol I live in the desert obviously.
to answer the "Why would you need that" at @3:01 there's 2 solid possible outcomes. . . 1 Boarding actions on a enemy ship for room clearing and 2 in buildings with bad sightlines and tons of ambush points. . . both situations would be ideal to have something that could single handedly clear a choke point upon stumbling into one just cause of how freaking fast the AA 12 can get pellets down range
Speaking of shattered wrists…We were doing target practice on a friend’s farm, shooting barrels from a good distance. The owner of the guns handed me a shotgun with a pistol grip. I’m 5’2” tall and weigh 105 on a good day. I shot it, and it felt like my arm shattered. It hurt sooo bad I almost cried. I then fired an AK47 and was shocked that it had very little recoil. I shot my own .357 Magnum. I immediately handed that hand cannon to my husband, and of course he had no problem with it. He’s got the .357, and I got a .38 snub nose which is much easier to fire. I wouldn’t shoot a shotgun with a pistol grip again if you paid me!! 😳
9:15 in the video if you pay attention to it the Anzio 20mm is suppressed as well as the one shown next to the m82a1. Odds are the ship mounted minigun you fired was an m134
The Guy with the AA-12 and full auto Glock is FPS Russia, he used to be a guntuber back in in the day who some believed was run, some didn't, it was eventually confirmed he indeed isn't russian hes just an american dude named Kyle who liked putting on a show, but yeah he actually got arrested over some drugs and I believe had -most- of his weapons confiscated save for a few when he eventually got out. I dont think he does youtube anymore but you can find clips of him talking on podcasts about behind the scenes stuff on FPS Russia, and talking about his time in prison.
Fun fact, those 14.5x114mm rounds from the Soviet kpv are the rounds used in the Halo universe sniper rifles. Seeing the actual rounds helps explain why you only get four shots per magazine, but also highlights how abysmally underpowered they are in-game.
Speaking of the remote controlled M134, the Ukrainians are currently using remote controlled M2 Brownings to defend extremely dangerous parts of the front like areas around Avdiivka
When your point is "fuck everything in that general direction". Actually on point: it's the modern equivalent of the WW1 trench sweeper. It was a five round pump action shotgun capable of slam firing, intended so that the first guy into an enemy trench could clear everything to that side of the trench. A weapon so terrifying that the Germans who were launching poison gas at everyone complained about "American war crimes".
American soldiers are probably the only soldier not trained to burst fire their automatic weapons. The American military budget doesn't care about ammo supply. An American soldier will send enough bullets down range that at least one bullet will hit its target, or the structure will collapse on top of it. There's a video of an American soldier training a foreign soldier and he was perplexed that the trainee was burst firing an automatic machine gun. Also the guy that was in the video was FPSrussia (not a real Russian, just an American farmboy who allegedly got caught with a drug felony and thus couldn't own any guns) He also dual wielded the auto shotguns. And yes do check out Kentucky Ballistics.
The Punt Gun was used for "commercial" bird hunting, namely water fowl. So You have your boat sneaking up on a flock of geese or duck on the water and then you use accuracy by volume (a term I learned from The Fat Electrician) to get as many as you can rather than have multiple guys firing double barrels (which I think was the standard for the time the Punt Gun was a thing.)
The longest shot in the world was just done in Ukraine with the "Horizon's Lord" with the 14,5*114mm round. -> ua-cam.com/video/PvW6dnQoJ5I/v-deo.html About recoil - the Barret has same amount of recoil on you're shoulder as a shotgun or AG3 assault rifle, due to excellent recoil break system.
there are only three guns i love in real life, the Chetac intervention sniper rifle and the Tavor. in video games it's the BFG, REDEEMER & ION PAINTER from unreal tournament 4, the TYPHOON from Crysis 3.
I think the videos that he did with the Slow Mo Guys are some of the most amazing...and informative...videos I have seen on YT....just incredible stuff.
02:30 "That is absolutely nuts." Yeah it was. That gun was marketed as "The Streetsweeper" in a very racist series of ads in the early '70s, with all the racial unrest.
The guy that appeared three times in the video is FPSRussia. In his videos, he shot all kinds of weapons. His channel was shut down after he got arrested for possession of drugs. He’s out of jail now.
He partner got busted for taxes. All the weapons were his. FPS just borrowed them to make the content. The drug thing was right after. It was a setup but he didn't say no, so BAM, busted.
Almost two decades ago I was a worker at a location that helped developed the frag-12. A joint British American project to, as the name would suggest, make 12 gauge grenades. They were specifically designed to be paired with the AA12, IIRC. So not just 32 shotgun shells. 32 grenades. There were...three...variants, I think. HE, AP, and fragmentation. I know they'd punch through several 1/4 inch hardened plates with the AP version, though I don't know what that would equate to in actual armor measurements. The frag version was just fucking mean. They tested it against a junk pickup and it looked like a sieve afterwards. I never saw the result of a HE round, so I can't speak on its effectiveness. I've never seen them in mass production, so maybe they got canceled?
Probably. By the sound of it that ammunition is actually considered a war crime under international treaty - a treaty that actually predates the Geneva Conventions. Explosive rounds have to be over a certain weight and caliber to be considered "shells" and not "explosive bullets". At just under 250g the 40mm grenade is about the smallest explosive projectile allowed.
You HAVE TO React to Kentucky Ballistics' Punt Gun....and his 4 Bore & other big bore rifles. Check out these videos; THE PUNT GUN (The Biggest Shotgun EVER !!!), 4 BORE Rifle vs Zombie Torso (The Biggest Rifle Ever !!!) And check out his playlists, specifically Ridiculous Guns & Elephant Guns. His latest video as of 2/7 is amazing as well.
The guy in the video is or was a UA-camr called FPSRussia[6,5 Mio. Subs](but I don't think he's Russian at all). But I think there was a fatal accident where his friend died and he hasn't continued the channel since then, but the videos were pretty good.
the guy doing some of those videos is FPSRussia he did guntube before alot of ppl, but stopped due to atf raids after his producer was found shot in his gun store.
Talk about Terminating your enemies Also the guy you've seen a couple of times is FPSRussia. Was a famous UA-camr Gun Fanatic until an "accident" with a friend.
"Proper use of this weapon WILL injure the user" is probably on the warning labels of a few of these. And the guy you see a few times is FPS Russia, former gun-tuber. "Do not try this at home. I am a professional Russian," was his catchphrase. Might still be around.
That guy you were wondering about was FPSRussia… he was a UA-camr, pretty big one… he’s not now, and it’s a fairly crazy story… I’d look into it if I were you
9:52 "...this beast shoots ... 20 ... mm rounds" "Their diameter is just under 5 cm" Now, I can only count in 'Murican, but something sounds funny here.
With how short of a barrel that 50 pistol has it's not going to get the round up to the velocity needed to punch through armor. In fact it would be weaker than a 308 round.
The Punt Gun was designed for commercial hunting ducks and waterfowl. It is called a 'punt gun' because it was placed on a punt boat. If you ask why somebody wants a gun you don't understand the USA mindset of 'because I can'.
the pistol is the oh sh*t handle for big game hunters. last resort that makes u feel safe but is the 1 thing that is gonna determin if u live or die.i mean in a situation wher the big rifle failed at range. now the pistol has to save u in close quarter combat for ur life lol

Remember as far as news readers are concerned "if it's on tracks and has a gun, it's a tank"
You need to see Ediie Hall shoot kentuckybalistics most powerful guns. Its anazing how much recoil they produce👍

The AA-12 was designed for clearing rooms solo. They make some absolutely insane ammunition for it too
The recoil mitigation system on the AA12 is _sick_
FPS RUSSIA was the guy that popped up shooting some of those guns and he had some awesome gun videos years ago

Not only did he say it shoots 32 rounds. He said 32 rounds of 12 millimeter caliber. Gotta love the US education system.
And then the narrator goes on to say each of the 32 rounds holds around 100 lead pellets. 😆
shot placement wins battles. Automatic fire is used for suppression so you can move closer or find better cover.
AA-12 is for soloing room clearance
