I had a run in with something similar while trying to beat the Golden Lute (Trying to beat Aria without all zones) I had a chest near a trapdoor and in the real run, I opened the chest and got to the Golden Lute (But died since I had very little experience with it then) but in the replay I ran around the area, didn't open the chest, and jumped into the trapdoor (Which had killed me in the replay, since I had no Potions left on me cuz I am not too good at Crypt)

I think even if it didn't desync the mod currently crashes the game for double tempo characters because it eventually gets over 1000bpm
It would've done that, but its more like a 25% chance of it happening when loading a level

Yeah, desyncs suck and they can happen quite often.
