Thank you so much for the coupon!! I ordered from your link instead of from Amazon (where I would normally purchase from). Excited to get it! I ordered the carafe unit.
Thanks for the review. I went with the Carafe model and mineral boost filter and I really like it so far. I like the pitcher system and I bought a second pitcher to keep cold water in my fridge. If Aquatru makes a connect option for the Carafe model I think that would be a neat upgrade. Maybe in the future.
Why are people so concerned with "wasting" water? Yes, roughly 30% of your water for drinking purposes will be released to the drain. But this is nothing compared to usual household water consumption - showers, dishwasher, toilet flushing etc.
Just got my Carafe and have Two Questions: 1- When I don’t need to filter. Do I need to unplug or keep it plugged? 2- When filtration is done, do I need to keep the tap water tank fill or it’s ok to throw the wast water and keep it empty until you need to filter again?
I would keep it plugged in as the machine will come on to do maintenance when you are not using it. Regarding the tap water tank, fill it up when it gives you the indicator. Just remember to empty when it in the tank first and then refill.
I didn't realize they had a Carafe version until I saw it on Amazon. I searched a video comparing the two on UA-cam and yours was the first one that came up. To clarify, is the merialized filter option also available on the Carafe? I am considering going with the Carafe but buying an extra carafe so one can be in the fridge and the other on the machine. When the fridge one runs empty, I can just switch them.
@@SidsTips Thanks again. I finally bought the Carafe version through your link. I went with the remineralized filter version. Love it so far after about two weeks of using it. The only problem I find is that I drink the water faster than I can get it cold and I even bought an extra pitcher. I think I will need to buy a larger storage pitcher for in the fridge.
Question, the carafe model can still be used with the plastic part removed, or with another glass carafe of any type right? One of the reasons I want to avoid the AquaTru classic is because of the plastic basin, and part of the whole reason I want to drink RO water is to avoid the health effects of microplastics and estrogenetic activity of plastics, including tritan.
Question: If the classic automatically filters when it reaches below the indicator line, isn't it filtering contaminated water from the tap tank? Do you have the choice to filter only when you want?
There is no way to control when it filters the water to the top unless you remove the rear tank so it can’t filter water but it’s still going to filter to the top of the front tank once you put water into the rear tank.
Any idea if these are better than the standard countertop reverse osmosis system. These are they traditional type but comes with sink faucet connection instead of under sink. They are also less expensive. Some reviews said slow water flow.
Hi. I’m going to buy a filter with your link. I’ve watched the whole video, but still not sure. Can you please let me know the differences between the classic with and without the connect Wi-Fi app? Thanks
yes, there is a light indicator. If you decide to order one, through my referral link, it is better pricing then through the company site bit.ly/aquatrufilteredwater
I do like the classic with the connect better and mention it here: ua-cam.com/video/HnDheoBpp6Q/v-deo.html - You can save $100 bit.ly/aquatrufilteredwater - If you have any other questions, please let me know.
This filter is a reverse osmosis filter. Some water is left behind during the filtering but this unit limits that way more than most others. Only about a quarter is wasted. You avoid all the plastic from bottled water and the filtered water is much higher quality than Brita or similar filters. Recent high quality international studies show that the higher the level of fluoride in a mother's urine (from drinking water and from food sources) the lower the IQ of her children! The fluoride action network and food and water watch are in final stages of a law suite to force the EPA to protect us from high levels of added fluoride in drinking water. Fluoride might be good for your teeth, although I doubt that it is (fluorosis in teeth is a significant side effect) and fluoride is horrible for bones, the thyroid, brain and is carcinogenic! This filter removes fluoride which a Brita style filter won't.

The difference is the connect comes with an app and the classic does not. That's the difference. I appreciate using my referral link. Thanks!
WIFI devices such as this rarely get used. It's also something else to go wrong. I say save your money and skip it on most items.

Carafe.
Where is the tank for lost water in the small one N
There are 2 tanks for both.
Do you still have a code for either?

Not happy with the taste with the filter it came with, might try the mineral filter, to see if it makes a difference
Sounds like you got the filter with the minerals. I switched back from the filter without the minerals which is my preference.
