Skate 1's map is the most realistic, like you're actually in a skate city. There's tons of fun things to skate, but it might not be obvious unless you're seeking them out.
Skate 2 was slightly better when they had the downtown with security. I agree that skate 1 is more realistic. But skate 2 to me is better over because a lot of the map is the same .
I hated the skate 3 map. The fact that you couldn't skate from district to district was lame. You could start at the top of the map and skate the whole way through in the first 2 games.
@@smashedbabyface8549 well, unless if I actually try to do realistic stuff like Ollie on a rail and jump off, or I go to do insane unrealistic stuff like going over 30mph doing hardflip to Manuel to nose Manuel and heelflip 360 to another Manuel in the skate games. So it depends on how you play these games.

At this point in my life, I had been skating for a few years, and looked up to people like Bob Burnquist, Tony Hawk, Rob, Bam, Bucky Lasek, Rodney Mullen, etc. And when I came out into the EA skate world, I was presented with the chance to put myself into my heroes shoes and explore the world for the most insane realistic fun lines. Sure there is lots of dead city, sure there is dead ends, sure you can't hop off the board, but everything in the game was meant to have an exploration and find the purpose. There was hidden spots. There was gaps you would have to try over, and over, and over, and over. To this day, watching these lines that I have once done in the game give me such a nostalgic feeling. :)
I’ve been playing Skate 3 numerous times but seeing the difference between that and skate 1 is a huge difference! The graphics are definitely better. Big difference in gameplay especially pulling off flips way easier than skate 3 where I could only do that off of big jumps whereas skate 1, you can easily do any trick!
Perfectly well said, i can never forget the hours put into trying to clear the numerous gaps and spots ive found and remembered. Plus skate 1 is the most realistic in the sense that doing a difficult trick on something huge and landing it looked extremely cool in the first and still the second but beats the third by miles

That alley bro.. one of my favorite. And that rail at the end is not easy to catch, if you are going just a little bit from right side you will catch the ledge beneath, so just like this you need to go straight.

They also used the same animations at skate 3 and maybe even in the new skate 4. I mean its EA what do we expect ... I still love the skate series but i am afraid its going to get ruined with microtransactions in skate 4.
More realistic then skate 3. I heard rumors skate 4 is in the making. So I got skate 3 to hype me I only play the first game. When I first hop on skate 3 I was so disappointed it feels so unfinished game. So arcade feeling I don't like it

I felt the same but I assumed that's because I'm doing backwards man stuff in Skate 3 so I'm used to literally going 100+ MPH in that game

I like skate clips but I feel like xl clips are better for the fact that there’s a learning curve and it’s harder to perform on there
